A Country Christmas

Christmas was always a special time
In the country so long ago
Firelight danced on windowpanes
As hearts began to glow.
As a child, I yet remember
Gathering around the tree
Grandpa's old time stories
Filled every face with glee.

S avory smells drifted through the air
In a heavenly atmosphere
Voices cracked with happiness
As Christmas day drew near.

Homemade pies aligned the shelves
Made by Grandma's aging hands
 And something spiritual touched us all
As the Yuletide swept the land.

T' was an ole fashioned country Christmas
Blessed with lots of Christmas snow
Sleigh rides for the young at heart
 And hanging mistletoe.
Now my heart fills up with gladness
As the season brings its cheer
When these thoughts of mine go back in time
 To recapture yesteryear.

Let Everyday Be CHRISTmas

Everyday is special
From the moment it begins
But Christmas is so wonderful
For the message that it sends.

A lovely tree that sparkles
Wreath upon the door
We think of children of neglect
The old folks and the poor.

We bake Christmas cookie's
Packages on display
Lets ask the Lord in Heaven
Show us the Christian way.

To help those who are needy
And those that's sick at heart
Lets try to make a difference
How their tomorrow may start.

Christmas is the beginning
As we help our fellowman
Let everyday be Christmas
By helping those that we can.

Reflections In December

December is the most wonderful time of the year,
With bright chilly days and crisply cool nights.
Aromas announcing the season waft from kitchens
As homes brightly sparkle with a myriad of lights.

Of this one thing we can be certain,
Whether you celebrate with mennorah or tree,
It's the time for the giving of gifts; of caring,
And experiencing the love God gives . . . it's free!

The season for reflections; a time to count blessings;
For friends and families to each other draw near,
Giving gifts, love, peace, good will, and great joy;
Creating memories that we'll cherish all through the year.

A special season to be shared with all
With a smile, a nod, and a cheery, "Hello";
A time made to build memories
That give joy when now becomes long ago.

When giving our gifts, we all should remember
A truth that rings true from coast to coast;
Gifts need not be expensive or costly;
It's the gift from the heart that counts the most.

Wishing you a wonderful season filled with heavenly peace
and the warmth of His presence in your heart and home
as you celebrate this holiday season.

As you 'wake on CHRISTmas morning
And look beneath your tree,
You will find "Three Packages"
Sent to you by me.

The first package is Happiness
For it's what I wish for you;
May your CHRISTmas be merry,
Your New Year happy too.

The second package is Peace...
Peace of mind in all you do
For peace within your heart
Is what I wish for you.

The third package is filled
with Hope and Love to spare,
Hope in God to guide you,
And Love for you to share.

As we celebrate Christmas
Let us open up our heart
That is where the gift of giving
Generated from the start.

We give each other different things
Each and every day
Kind words or understanding
Acts of kindness in some way.
This is a very special gift
So unique yet easy to give
You can find it almost anywhere
No matter where you live.

Don't worry about shopping
Give a gift of love today
It will make someone happy
In a very special way.

Christmas Story

Christmas is here in it's glory
Now let me tell you a story
There was once a long time ago
The weather was warm and there was no snow.

A baby was born and Jesus was His name
The star shone bright and Wise Men came
Bringing gifts of love just as it should be
For this was a special baby boy you see.

The baby grew and preached the word
Traveled far and wide and everyone heard
He healed the sick and coveted the poor
People came to hear him far and wide by the score.

As we celebrate His birthday today
There is one thing more I would like to say
Have a very Merry Christmas, may your wishes come true
And a very, very Happy New Year to you.
