Ashley's Tips::
Asia.png picture by abbykinz619Okay, I am going to try and combine this. Give you some tips and also how I go about my roleplays. You Ready? Aiight, here we go! Oh...Okay I will wait...lolz, i just bugging.

xx...Make sure you have a banner and layout. It makes the roleplays more imagitive. Gives us, the audience, an idea of how your character looks like. Also, the banner usually portrays who the charry is. Grunfy, rock, usually means attitude and edgier. Girly usually means classy, sassy and shop. And it goes on. People don't realize it but the way the banner is made or asked to be made usually shows and gives who the charry is. Some stay with just one, others like variety.

xx...Once you have the layout and banner, time to debut your character. But what is first? Sometimes people are asked to join by friends and you already have a thread to join in on. But if that is not the case, look to see if there is an opened thread you can reply to or make a whole new thread to introduce your character.

xx... Once you know where you wanna do a thread, get ready to type. It's usually easier when you have a feel for your charry and know what you are going to say. If you are having troubles gettin' into character but really want to use the charry then:
     -Take a look at your charry and get a vibe
     -Once you feel the vibe, put yourself in your charry's shoes. If you were that person, how would you do things

xx...Spelling and grammar do make a banner look awsome and presentable. But not everybody has the ability for grammar and all that shit. So just do your best! If you are unsure about a spelling of a word or want another kind of word then check out an online
dictionary. They also have a thesaurus. Or you can always do you roleplays on a word processor with a spell check. When I do big roleplays I tend to do them there so I can save them.

xx...There are different ways on presenting a roleplay. Their is the basic... just write the whole thing out as one thing. Or... for me... I usually like to start out with a introduction. I choose what I am gunna write about and then do an intro on the word or idea. And I would give it a title like so,
     - xx__[Introduction
       Intro Paragraph then follows.
Then once i have the intro done I do a Inside the Mind segment. This is where I go inside my charry and let people know what is going on. I usually label it Inner Goddes or whatever kind of ego my charry has. Just like the Intro i have the same title but I use the italic to show the thinking. Like so,
     - xx__[Inner Goddess]
      Your Charry's thoughts follow
Then I go and do the segment to where my charry is. The actual scene. Like so
     - xx__[Scene.One]
      Then the scene follows. It sometimes depends what your charry is doing that I might do two scenes, three, whatever it may be. Different locations, commercials, etc.

xx... This all may sound like an eassy but hey, it's just how I do it.

xx... Okay, another way to do roleplays and make it interesting... Just like a book would do [and i told you before] anytime you do a thought of your charry... use the italics so people will know your charry is thinking. Use the bold for when people talk. Someimes I use different colours for people [in my earlier fed days].

xx... Description is a key to interesting roleplays. What the person is wearing, doing, all that shit. Makes us, the audience, be able to put it in our heads and see what is going on. And reading the WHOLE roleplay is a good idea.

xx... Pictures can be useful sometimes. But too many gets to be too much. So it's all up to you if you want to add a picture to give an idea or so.

xx... Discussing ideas is a good move. Brainstorming with another person on making your charry and storyline deeper. Makes any storyline eye catching. [look at where it got me and Jeff lolz]. Also, you can always look at other peoples roleplays to see how they do it.

xx... And have fun! This is your charry and your roleplay. We aren't trying to tell you how to roleplay but only give you tips. This is yours and you get to make it as personal as you want with the layouts, banners and the roleplay. Let your imagination fly free. AND never take a roleplay seriously. This isn't real life. It's a real drag when somebody takes a roleplay serious.

I have a few roleplays saved you can take a look at [x] and [x] They are really old ones [from when I roleplayed in wrestling feds] But then again, you can always look at the other threads going on in LA.
Jeff's Tips::
Jeff.png picture by abbykinz619New to RP'ing or just want some tips to get a fuller flavor? Here are some Role Playing Tips straight from the Duck's beak.

(x) Don't be afraid to get descriptive. Role playing is a lot more interesting if you describe situations, scenes, people, and events. Short cutting is kind of bland and makes an RP boring. Get out there and make it vivid!

(x) When replying to somebody- read the whole thing. Skipping over stuff that could be important or essential could make your reply seem goofy. Be in the know.

(x) Have an idea all the time. I know it sounds hard, but it's not. Getting ideas for a storyline can be fun and help really get you into the jist of it all.
