Icy Raspberry Spritzer
6 ice cubes 1 ½ ozs. Framboise (raspberry eau de vie) 6 each raspberries & blackberries, without hulls 1 tsp. confectioners' sugar 1 ½ ozs. Sparkling water or seltzer Mint or basil sprig
Wrap ice cubes in clean kitchen towel and crush them with meat mallet, rolling pin, or in blender. Fill tall serving glass about 2/3 full with crushed ice. Press gently on ice to make compact. Pour framboise slowly into a glass, distributing it evenly over crushed ice. Gently wash and dry raspberries and blackberries. Arrange them over top of ice in glass. Dissolve confectioners' sugar completely in sparkling water and then pour sugar mixture into glass. Serve drink immediately, garnished with mint or basil and a straw.
