Ming on the left (now eight years old) first belonged to my youngest daughter.
When my daughter brought her home she discovered Ming was pregnant.  Ming gave birth to six beautiful babies.  She had a hard time weaning her kittens and she was down to skin and bones so Irv and I agreed to "babysitting" her whilst the kittens got used to regular food.  The little booger went into heat two days after we brought her home.  We were originally going to give Ming back and keep two of her babies but she was so happy with Irv and I it was unanimously decided that we keep her and her baby we named Kleo.

Kaeli on the right sad story.  We just lost our beautiful Kiki in April of l999.  I went to pay the vet bills and Zack (the vet) asked me if we would take Kaeli as he knew she would be going to a good home.  It was discovered from Zack that Kaeli was 4 months old and was thrust out the door to try to survive.  They threw Kaeli out in January and somebody finally managed to catch her and bring her to the Vets. (in May)  The reason we believe for them doing that is that obviously they paid good money for a Birman and got mean and threw her out as she didn't have all the markings on her paws and back of her legs.  Sickos.  So whilst at the Vet's I phoned Irv and asked if we could keep her.  I lied and said she was gentle.  Not!!!!  She hated people and I couldn't get near her.  Irv picked her up the next day thinking she was gentle and she hissed and growled at him.  She stayed under our bed for 3 weeks solid with her litterbox and food.  To this day she is timid of people.  That breaks my heart how a little kitty learned not to trust people.  At least she is in a safe and loving home.
