Siberian cats ?what are they?

These cats, as it is clear from the name, have come from the Siberian taiga in Russia. This breed originated from the copulation of wild cats in Siberia with domestic cats brought from the European part of Russia and the other parts of Asia.

Siberian cats, as well as all other aboriginal breeds, are known for their resistance to infectious diseases and moreover many people that suffer with allergies do not react to these cats. Look at the article in the Swedish magazine Kattliv ¹ 6 2000.
Siberian cats are suitable for keeping both in usual apartments, and in country houses. They are independent, proud, restrained and perfectly balanced characters and don’t play pranks.

This breed has an unusual feature ?they are not afraid of water and float very well. Siberian cats like to play in snow very much. Don’t wash these cats often, it can result removing fat from the hair.

Cats are the excellent hunters; they are the experts at catching mice, other small rodents, snakes and fish, fearlessly jumping for them into the water. They are very inquisitive and try to learn about everything that they see. It’s very interesting to associate with the cats of Siberian breed just because they are "personalities" but not only the fine decorations of a house.
