I was a little suprised the Evan turned out to be Everett. As for him passing so quickly I wasn't suprised. I didn't see it coming but after he shared all his stories with Bee I figured his character probably felt at peace with his life and coming clean with his secret.
But yeah, I would have liked him to come to peace with Nan and Michael, although, how wrong would it have been for them to find him, love him again and then lose him, so it was done well.
