Tried to give it up but I already bought one this morning and it's almost gone.  Ahh well...

I can't believe it's already 9:30!  Had to go to Walmart for (I hope) the last of the curtains I'll need.  Altho I will be needing more clips and they only had ONE pack and it was opened and marked down to $3 clearance.  Figures - I finally get the curtain fabric and poles and now I can't get the clips - argh!  And since I already have half of them, I need matching ones...

Stopped by my mom's house to give my dad some chili and chicken noodle soup and my mom the other tablecloths I bought last year that I was never able to get enough of.  She liked them too so she is making her own curtains out of them.  Serene, I think you'd like them either as curtains or a tablecloth since your dining room is pumpkin-colored (right?).  They are actually plaid Thanksgiving tablecloths.  The original ones I had were orange-er - the new ones are more reddish (they look alike up close but from a distance they are different).

This week's goal was supposed to be getting Erik's room done and I am not even close to being able to start that!  And that is even with not working!  I just need to buckle down and do a big pickup instead of getting distracted with errands, curtains, and this movie.  Especially the playroom since I will need to drag everything from Erik's room into there before I can get it all sorted and put away.  I think we are going to move all the (super heavy) playroom cabinets into his room.  It will still be his room but also like a playroom "closet" where they can store their toys.  I am just tired of seeing those doors open all the time and also the playroom is claustrophobic with all those big cabinets - I'm ready to start transforming it into another family room over the next couple of years.  I'm trying to decide whether to paint the walls tan and keep the woodwork stained, or leave the walls hunter green and paint the woodwork cream.  It's hard to paint over real wood but I also kind of like the green and need to find some way of lightening up the room - it's just too cavelike and light trim would help...

I'm babbling.  Need to make a plan

Now how did that happen?  I read the Wednesday thread after I posted the Thursday thread and I thought I replied to Wednesday - how did it end up here?

Hi Joni! Sorry I wasn't around much today. My stomach was a tad better today but I ended up getting a migraine after lunch. augh No throwing up so that's a plus!

Those curtains sound great! Hope you're able to find the right clips. Sounds like a good plan for the playroom/Erik's room. How easy is it to get paint off of wood if you do decide to paint it but then would want the wood back later? I'm a big 'wood' person so I'd love as much wood as possible and would go with a light paint on the walls instead but that's just my opinion. I love forest green too though. lol Ah, once I get a hold of paint brush, my new house will be, um, interesting.

I'm feeling really irritated by this yucky humidity we have. It was supposed to be much cooler today and maybe it is but the air is so thick. I'd rather have the heat and no humidity than this junk. My main floor is quite destroyed but I'm so stinkin' tired. Andrew has ball hockey tonight and since it's by his brother's hosue, he's staying there tonight. Plus, there's supposed to be a computer to fix there as well.

I'm so looking forward to this week-end with not much planned and I get to sleep in. This school stuff has me pretty wiped cause I had been quite lazy this summer, with not much walking and now to walk to and from the schools, I'm wiped.

I'm trying to get Timmy to sleep and then I hope to finish up the dishes, pick up the dining room and living room and depending on the time, do quick sweep and mop. AHHH

I don't think I'd be able to get the wood back.  Maybe if I worked really hard at it but more than likely I'd need to go buy new molding.  This isn't old beautiful massive trim, just cheap stain-quality pine molding we put up ourselves.  It's nice but we have real wood in the living room and dining room so it wouldn't break my heart to cover it.  I just know that once I do, there's no going back without actually removing it.  My bedroom is a dark plum color with light trim and never seems cavelike so I was thinking light trim might brighten the playroom but I'm not sure if I'll like it.  Scott likes the idea of light trim but also doesn't want to paint the real wood.  I'm actually thinking that with the curtains up, you can't see much of the window trim so only the baseboards and french door will show some of the time unless the windows are open - so maybe the walls actually need to go light.  Decisions decisions!  It is enjoyable to get to be the one to decide but we've made tons of mistakes that had to be painted over so don't be surprised, once you're in your new house, if you finish a room completely, do some more stuff over the years and then go back to that first finished room and want to totally redo it again!!!  Our master bath was our first "decorated" room and I totally redid it later.  I'm totally redoing it again only this time it will be almost exactly the same when finished, just freshened up big time and hopefully not as DIY looking (like I'm replacing the cabinets with factory-finished white ones instead of the old fake wood ones I had painted a light color).

I'm sorry to hear about your migraine - I thought they didn't bother you when you're pregnant?  Or maybe that's my sister - she gets them too and I think they let up when she was pregnant and then nursing.

Yesterday I didn't get anything done.  I was super tired and took a nap - very bad.  But I don't feel too guilty because I think I really needed it - I've not been getting much sleep.  I woke up feeling really refreshed and not groggy at all.  But no progress on the house.  Need to figure out what I"m going to do today and stop playing on here!

Sorry, it's been a few days since I've been able to get on. I'm liking that week-ends tend to be computer free for me (mostly cause Andrew's on often, doing computer work. lol)

Ahh, it is tough decisions! I hope you find something you like. If you've got wood in the other rooms, I'd say paint the wood! lol

I tend to get migraines more often when pregnant but they aren't as bad. But, coming off of the Effexor, I've been really screwed up. I actually should be skipping every other day but when I skip a day, I get really messed up the next day and can't afford to do that so the past 3 days in a row, I've taken the lowest dose. I may do that until I see the midwife on Oct. 1st. BUT, I think I may have had a bug last week when I couldn't keep any food down. There's a stomach bug going around. So, now, I have no clue what's up with my body!!
