Well, I'm not happy AT ALL!! So, dh and I tried to do some cleaning last night. He cleaned the bathrooms really well and cleaned up the laundry room really well. Timmy had major issues and was very cranky. We were up past 1, dealing with him. I sort of gave up with cleaning to focus on Timmy and told dh to call them tomorrow morning to say today at 2 will NOT work but maybe Thurs. at 2. I went to the park this morning, dh called them while I was gone. Well, the property management HAS to come today to get the pictures posted TODAY. (I will be checking that, you can be sure.) Ok... so then why give us the option? Why tell us to call if that doesn't work for us?! Cause, it doesn't and then yet you tell us sorry, we have to come then!? She gave us less than 24 hr notice.... she called at 4:30 and is coming today at 2. What if we both worked and didn't get the message til 6 or later? She told us what rooms she's going to take a picture of so I'm going to just focus on those. Of course, the laundry room isn't one of those but at least it's looking nice. She's taking pictures of the outside and the backyard is disasterous but I don't care. Actually, I'm somewhat not caring about the inside except that it is somewhat gross. Sooo, I have about 1.5 hrs. Timmy is sleeping but for how long?! (i was going to nap but thought I'd check in with dh first and good thing I did or else I'd be surprised at 2!) I'm jumping around like crazy... I need to focus on a room, get that done with and move on. -Kitchen- dishes, floor, make lunch, tidy fridge, put stuff from microwave into bag and hide, put away cleaning stuff -dining room- floor, clear off table, hide papers on cradenza and buffet, put away towels -Living room- hide dh's work bag, Rock Band box, pictures upstairs, clear off desk, put blankets on chair, clear table, pick up, if time, vacuum -hall-put boxes out to recycling -my room-tidy corner, put stuff from desk into 'neat' containers, vacuum if time -girls' room-make beds, tidy D's dresser (Em's is hidden), pick up floor, vacuum if time Other-pick up stairs, pick up basement, clean doors, tidy deck, clean walls, vacuum upstairs, |

Well, I'm not feeling the greatest. Rushing around like mad and starving are the culprits. Now I've stuffed myself and feel even worse. But, things are coming together. Gotta work on the living room now.

Man I'd be TICKED. But you know what? If the pictures are bad, it will hurt them, not you. I know you'll be embarrassed but in reality, better pictures would help them rent the place more quickly. You know darn well they knew that they would need those pictures today for their deadline well before the time they clued YOU in on it. GJ on getting a lot done - nothing like a looming deadline! And GJ to dh for helping out so much. If it were me I'd be hiding stuff like a crazy woman. My laundry room would be full to the top with crap (much like Erik's room is now!). GJ also on kicking the fast food habit. With that kind of deadline I know we'd have eaten out for sure. I'd have sent dh out for sandwiches if for no other reason than to keep the kitchen clean. My period is kicking my butt. I've done almost nothing yet today. I don't have a ton to do though - that's probably why. I need an outside deadline too! I know what I want to have done before he gets home. Mostly neatening. I'm going to make a list in a minute. I'm eating terribly again which is not helping at all! |

Hi! I have been reading a little, trying to catch up. Congratulations Sara! I am happy to hear that things have taken a better turn for you.
Wow Joni, I am impressed with all the work you have gotten done. I cannot seem to come anywhere near getting the everyday things done let alone big projects. I don't know how you do it.
I am having trouble getting moving. Nothing new there.

Hi Jac! I didn't get anything done this summer. I can't seem to do anything with the kids around. Plus I decided it's more important to not be thinking of projects with them here - even if I have the physical time, I don't like my mind to be elsewhere. But now that they're in school I have loads of time. I still am not getting my everyday things done. I have to choose - project or everyday things. I've never been able to do both! You and Sara have kids around 24/7. I don't even know how you stay sane!!!! :-) Well I didn't do anything on my list but I did mow. I started before I even came in the house from getting the kids - I changed shoes in the garage and went right out to mow. The yard looked awful. It was a long time between mowings and an even longer time since we trimmed. I know that's on Scott's list. The garage, mowing, and the bathroom are all big things on his to do list that he's been trying to find time to do so I got one completely done (mowing), one mostly done (garage) and pushed the bathroom enough that I know it will inspire us to keep going. I'm very happy! But I have to go work on the everyday things now because I don't want the big stuff diminished by junk all over, no clean clothes, and nothing to eat. He'll be home at midnight - I hope he's excited by what I got done! I know he thinks I've been sleeping the whole time. He's probably just hoping the house is not a wreck. The kids are in their rooms - I just walked in from mowing to another big fight. I'm so sick of their fighting! And Chane's screaming! He screams all day. If he's mad, if he's hurt, if he's frustrated, if something doesn't go his way - big, small, it doesn't matter. It all gets at least one burst of screaming and if he's in the mood sometimes it becomes protracted screaming (I can't really call it crying since he screeches the entire time). I can't get his counselor to understand what I mean. I wish I could wire every room with hidden cameras. Actually they wouldn't even need to be hidden - Chane doesn't care at all who's watching or what's going on - when he's the least bit disturbed by something, it sets him off screaming. It wears on my nerves so bad that when he does something that might not normally make me mad, I overreact and start screaming myself!! |

Lots of drama here. I'm tired of backtalk so I ended up with two kids in their rooms at 4:30 for the rest of the night. Which I realized is not really doable. Chane came down about 30 minutes later and hugged me and said he was sorry. At one point I was considering letting them go to bed with no dinner or anything else to eat. I was pretty ticked. Once again, though, I overreacted - this time I overreacted with Braeden because Chane had ticked me off. I really have to stop that. Chane grates my nerves apart and then Braeden does something to tick me off and I punish him way beyond what I should (Chane is usually already punished somewhere by that time). Anyway I've gotten some things done. Need to mark them off. All is calm here again. Kids are doing their chores. |

Looks like most of what I have left to do is getting the kids school stuff taken care of (I made them take their backpacks to their rooms and do homework there so I need to remind them to pack them back up and go hang them on their hooks in the garage). Otherwise I only really need to worry about our bedroom and the couple of baskets of clothes and stuff I gathered from there the other morning when my dad was coming over and stuffed into B's room (figured a junk free master bedroom would be easier to put bathroom stuff into). The other things stuff is all extraneous. We are getting ready to run out and get bread and then I'll work on my bedroom while the kids are going to bed. Final List for Tonight: DEFINITES: - sign agenda
- check homework (have kids put homework and backpacks away)
- pick up bread and choc milk
- supervise their rooms - quick cleanup
- clean up master bathroom
- clean off antique dresser
- clean off nightstand
- sort and put away stuff from baskets
MAYBES - wipe down kids' bathroom
- put away stuff in dish drainer
- sew dog

I sort of went MIA the rest of the day.... the vist went ok though she ended up taking pictures of rooms she didn't say she would when she talked to Andrew. augh She took them of the basement which ticks me off cause it was quite messy. She had to call back 2 hrs later with more questions. I swear, they are so disorganized and I'm not sure why our landlord pays them $50/month when they do NOTHING. I'm going to bet they won't have our interest ready for our last month's rent as we're intitled to interest on it. Feeling kinda sick to my stomach. augh This is getting old. Hi Jac!! Yeah, I agree, Joni does way more than she gives herself credit for! lol Hope the evening goes well, Joni. Sorry to hear about the fighting... I hate those days. Supper's ready... Andrew made it! yay |

I can think of a couple of other people who do more than they think. I bet both you and Jac have days that would exhaust me! Even when you think you're doing nothing. I'm tired but waiting up for Scott. I think he'll be home around midnight. His plane lands at 10:16 but by the time he does baggage claim and gets the shuttle to the long-term lot, it'll probably be 10:45 before he gets started home and it's over an hour home. Just frontlined Sami - ha ha!!! *evil laugh* I tricked her by doing it while she was eating. She hates that stuff. I guess the smell because I doubt it feels like anything. Maybe a little stickiness on her neck. It's prime flea season. I need to make a note to order more. It's so expensive but way better than dealing with fleas! I got a lot of puttering and putting away done. Stashed two laundry baskets in the playroom of stuff from upstairs that goes downstairs but I didn't feel like dealing with and I don't want to leave on the island like I normally do to put away because the kitchen looks pretty nice. Got all of our miscellaneous laundry put away. I tend to procrastinate on Scott's and my stuff. I'm still psyched about all my surprises for Scott. I hope he notices! I left the garage door up so he would see it looking neat (still jammed full but not gross). And the lawnmower is in there so he'll probably look to see if the lawn is mowed. I moved all the bathroom stuff out of our room so he won't notice anything is up until he opens the bathroom door to put his contact stuff away. My dad, Braeden and Chane all voluntarily said the floor looks great but I truly do not think it looks that good - I can see every seam and every place the corners didn't match up. I hope Scott is okay with it - hopefully he'll realize that peel and stick vinyl is not perfect! DEFINITES: - sign agenda
- check homework (have kids put homework and backpacks away)
- pick up bread and choc milk
- supervise their rooms - quick cleanup GIVING UP ON THIS I THINK - THEY'LL HAVE TO DO IT SATURDAYS AND ARE GOING TO DO NEW CHORES IN PLACE OF THEIR ROOMS - C WILL ADD THEIR BATHROOM TO HIS LIST AND BRAEDEN WILL DO THE VAN EACH DAY
- clean up master bathroom
- clean off antique dresser
- clean off nightstand
- sort and put away stuff from baskets
MAYBES - wipe down kids' bathroom
- put away stuff in dish drainer
- sew dog

Well Sara, Look at it this way. At least you got it over with.
Joni, how did it go last night? I hope he was very pleasantly surprised!
I can't believe it, I have a whole day with no kids to babysit and no activities to go to. I do have to go to the store though. Caroline needs black shoes and socks and I need to go grocery shopping. If I don't do those today, I won't get a chance before church on Sunday. I would really like to spend the whole day at home without going anywhere though.
Here is my small to do list
1. Make bread 2. Do laundry 3. Iron 4. Make menu 5, Go shopping 6, Math with Caroline 7. Check big kids math 8. JBQ with Caroline 9. Check SBQ 10. Check assignments sheets for all

Yes, I'm glad I got the pictures over with BUT now the viewings start so I have to do MORE cleaning. A pain in the butt but hopefully it'll go fast so we won't have too many viewings. It was posted on kijiji last night and already, we had someone stop by last night asking us all these questions (that was posted on the site so I don't know why they asked.) That bothers me though cause they need to contact the property management, not go through us. So, hopefully I don't have lots of people coming here without speaking to them first! Oh, another thing to be ticked off at... she took a picture of our master bedroom with Timmy sleeping on the bed!! I already don't like the idea that the pictures are of our furniture cause really, besides the outside picture and the picture of the kitchen, the other 2 are all about our furniture, you can't even tell what the room looks like. But to have my son on there too?! AHHH I'm probably just being extra nit-picky but I'm not too keen with those whole process and have never been happy with the property management. Woohoo on the quiet day, Jac! I hope you get your list done. How did the reunion and surprises go last night, Joni?! I'm going to try to get Timmy to lie down so I can get a quick nap before dealing with the house. I hope my afternoon isn't sucked up by a nap but I can't keep my eyes open and my stomach has been bothering me all day and last night... thrown up a few times as well. |

I don't blame you for not being happy about the picture of the baby. I think if I were you , I would call them and insist that they take the picture of the baby off of the ad. I might be a little paranoid but that would really make me nervous. I mean, it is on there with your address and you said you already had people just show up. I just would not like it. So, I got some done not as much as I should have but some at least. 1. Make bread~ rising on the couter 2. Do laundry ~ One load 3. Iron 4. Make menu 5, Go shopping 6, Math with Caroline 7. Check big kids math 8. JBQ with Caroline 9. Check SBQ 10. Check assignments sheets for all |
