Been puttering all day.  We put all the Christmas stuff from Erik's room in the attic then conked out for awhile.  Scott is sick - he was going to work on the bathroom but mostly he's just lying around.  I moved one kitchen cabinet around - my Corelle cabinet.  All the glass lids would fall out on you if you weren't careful.  I didn't get rid of anything but adjusting the height of the shelf allowed me to stack up the Corelleware we don't use much and push it to the side stacked high, and the stuff we use daily is a small stack so it doesn't fall on you.  And I got some laundry done since Chane remarked Thursday night (his job is sorting laundry into the three hampers for kids' stuff, adult stuff, and socks/underwear/towels) "why do I have to SORT laundry if you're not even going to DO laundry??" in his smart snippy dramatic way that implies he does everything around here.  Scott said ignore him, don't justify myself to a 7yo, and don't let that get me going on laundry but I'm not doing it because I care what he thinks, actually it's just like he's a little warning bell telling me the hampers are getting high lol.

We ended up watching Witness and then we decided to go out to eat so my sister Sarah is going to watch Chane.  That must have perked me back up because I got going again.  Just sorted out the playroom cabinets.  There is still a big mess but I feel like I've made progress.  They weren't horrible but they did look really messy and there was a lot of miscellaneous stuff - they were overcrowded so I pulled out a lot of stuff, mostly those kits that require adult supervision, to make room and labeled everything.  Braeden agreed to all of his 100 piece puzzles being put in the attic - he used to be a puzzle fiend and they are good memories for him but he's really too old for 100 pc puzzles.  Every adult who knew him then would always be bringing him puzzles because he was obsessed.  He saved out 5 for those times when Meemaw is here because they used to do them together and I think doing them with her is sentimental.  They weeded out their costumes for me and told me a few things they don't care about.  The cabinets still look as full as they did but I was able to put things in them that were on the floor before and things aren't crammed so its' easier to put things away.  Plus I moved some things down within their reach and eyesight that I think they forgot about so they'll play with them more.

I guess writing it on here it seems like I did a lot but I've really been lying around a lot and eating junk food.  Just spurts of energy here and there.  Gotta go put on makeup and find some decent clothes for dinner.  My sister invited Chane to spend the night so that'll be weird.  I think Scott is sound asleep on the couch.  I hate to wake him but he did want to go out to eat even though  sick (Olive Garden is having their limited time unlimited pasta bowl which is the only time they ever have this special sauce he likes so he's been dying to go) and we need to go sometime soon since my sister is 25 minutes one way and then OG is 30 minutes back the other way which already puts us around 7 for dinner (not that I"m really that hungry from eating junk - I wish I hadn't eaten ice cream at lunch!)

Sara I hope you got your house smelling fresher.  You are like me and my house being smelly is so depressing - I'm sensitive to smell too.

Oh yeah the reason I titled the post "Declutter City" is because I really do feel like I am packing away or getting rid of a lot of toys!  Well maybe not toys but some costumes and a ton of things like a dump truck you make out of cardboard, build-your-own robots, an electric engine you build and a bunch of stuff like that.  Lots of kits!
