So, that totally didn't happen but the house WAS ok until last night. lol Ah well, we gained ground in some areas but steps back in others.
I'm feeling like poop. Too much junk food... had some Pringles and then dh came home for lunch to get some papers and Delaney requested McD's for lunch. Too much grease.
But, I'm not feeling gaggy and somewhat motivated. So, I'm hoping to take care of a few things and hope this yucky feeling goes away.
Dh has been taking care of switching over the utilities. One oops though... he called the hydro or was it gas? Said we take possession on the 15th of Oct. They called him back and said that the current owners had already called saying the closing date is Nov. 14th! (or the day before, I guess cause that's when they'll have it turned off.) Ummm, yeah, I don't think so. So, dh has to show proof that our closing date is the right one. I just wonder what the heck that means?! We NEVER talked about a closing date in Nov. so hopefully the guy was misunderstood (he's East Indian) or something. Andrew saw them moving things out on Friday so I can't imagine they'd truly think the closing date is in Nov. But, my freaking out side is, well, freaking out!
Maybe we need to talk to our real estate agent and double check with things there.
Another freaking out thing that's ticking me off (at me and dh.) We have to show the last 3 months of bank statements to the mortgage company to show that we can come up with the closing costs. Well, the past 3 months have got to be the WORST. For one of those months, we weren't using that account cause we were still separated and using our own. So, there's a bit of overdraft and the account was mostly at $0. Then September, we had a major oops because we had to do a $1000 deposit for the house, rent came out and something else so we went past our $1000 in overdraft and had 2 insufficient funds charges. Now, we NEVER do that. Yeah, we'll go into overdraft by a bit but it's only a couple of days. We never miss our payments. AUGH So, I'm hoping it's overlooked but not seeing how it can NOT be. I hope this doesn't totally screw things up. But, I guess the worst case scenario would be we'd have to find a different lender and because we look like we're a high risk, we'd get charged an arm and a leg in interest... I just hope we don't lose the house, end up getting sued because we can't buy the house, etc. More freaking out! ahh I'm not completely freaking out about it, it's just a thought that's there...
We had our account up to $3600, I think it was, in this 3 month period. We also have almost $1000 each in the girls' accounts that we'd say we'd use if need be (or just to show that we have the money to cover the costs.) We also have almost $700 in cash saved up from dh's computer fix-it money and my daycare money (I get about $80 cash/week so that goes into our stash and when we feel we've got a good chunk, we'll put it in and pay off something.)
Ok, I'm blabbing on here. Delaney wants to play on the computer. Only 2 hrs left before I have to go get the kids. I think we'll be going to the park after school cause even though it's a little chilly, the sun is out so I want to get out as much as I can cause I think it's supposed to rain at the end of this week.
I'm hoping to get the next layer of my snickers fudge done... it's the nougat layer... mmm And, for once, i don't have a load of laundry waiting to be washed! Now, I've got about 6 loads to fold and put away and it's a big mountain on the spare bed (with a few small piles of folded stuff.) AHHH Dang laundry! The main floor should be picked up as well. If I get a chance, I want to try to do up receipts for 2 parents.
