Sorry - forgot about yesterday since I was home alone.  Just for the record, dinner was chocolate chips right out of the bag!

Today:
Fried chicken, fried or mashed potatoes (prob fried since I think we're out of butter), veggies, crescent rolls - my first Sunday of making big Sunday meals

Sounds like an awesome meal!

Well, Saturday was take out pizza... we invited friends over to see the new house and ordered pizza (they chipped in $20.) We munched on the leftovers today. We had a friend come over to help and so we got McD's and paid for him.

AUGH! So, we failed... dh was ticked and took Emily with him yesterday morning to get some stuff and they had McD's for breakfast. grrr.

I can't wait to get moved in and get my kitchen up and running.

I skimmed your post but have to get cleaning up done here before falling into bed. The kids are OUT. Too many late nights and running around the empty new house. So, they were wiped. Dh and his friend are still at the house, getting a ton done. I was working on peeling off the gross, uncleaned shelf liner. I'm going to paint the inside of the cupboards and then line the bottome with white shelf liner.

We disovered 3 AUGH things and with that, we are welcomed into home ownership! lol Dh's friend has moved a lot and is in construction (home improvement stuff) so on the tour, he pointed out that in the basement, it looks like the shower has leaked and that's why the one area where the fridge would go (in the second kitchen), looks in rough shape. We probably have a bit of mold under the baseboard... we know the bathroom smells strongly of mildew.

Second augh, they took off the trim around the master bedroom window only to find mold... not sure the windows are the actual issue but the foam between the wood was NOT applied properly so moisture came in. It's not too bad but will likely require some new drywall around the bottom of the window.

Then the 3rd major augh, dh asked his friend to take a look at the sink... well, one good thing, it looks like there was a dishwasher at some point so we could easily install the water stuff (ripping out a cupboard may be a bit of a problem but we may seriously consider it as FIL has a dishwasher we could have.) But, looks like the sink has been leaking and the underside of the counter by the sink is BLACK. So, our friend said that it needs to be sealed and bleached and should be replaced down the road if we can do that and contain it to the one area under the sink. But, I noticed some at the back of the cupboard beside. So, now it's affecting 2 cupboards. So, we may have to look at replacing the counter which isn't a really bad thing cause I dont' like the colour and it is really worn out at the sink (the colour has come off) and the island has annoying ceramic tile so we would get rid of that and put counter on that as well.

Money, money, money... augh Christmas will be VERY slim this year.

So, that's the update.. we got the living room almost done and I love the tan/brown we chose for most of the house. It's a tad darker than I thought which is a good thing!

I hope you had a good week-end. I hope to reply to your post later. Good job on not eating out! (at least I dont' think I saw any mention of it... even if your supper was choc. chips yesterday. lol)

Off I go to clean. waaa
