Well at least I'm doing SOMETHING even if it is messing around cleaning instead of being specific.  I've been doing extra stuff on the kitchen - I started with dishes but ended up cleaning out the fridge, wiping it off, cleaning the counters really well and doing an extra good job on the stovetop, range hood and front of the oven.  Also scrubbed the faucet on the sink.  Not really heavy cleaning since I'm not getting that detailed but more than a daily wipedown.  Microwaving water in the microwave now to clean that out.  I guess it's better than doing nothing altho the house is still a mess and I haven't even finished the dishes!  I'm thinking maybe we should go ahead and ask for a new dishwasher for Christmas as my MIL suggested - I don't mind washing dishes but I do mind them constantly piling up on the counter and there's not really enough room under my sink to store them as flylady says to do.  At least with a dishwasher there's a place for the dirty ones and it's a lot quicker.  Right now, washing them all by hand makes me feel like I'm really doing something but the only problem is that I look around afterward and realize all I've done is dishes which would have taken me 2 minutes with a dishwasher.

Going up to clean out the microwave and wipe down the outside of it and its cart.  My shining stove makes the kitchen look nice right now even though there are so many dried-on things on it that I can't seem to get off.  My old stove came clean with scouring powder but this one only gets scratched with it and it doesn't come off.  I asked the repair guy and he said they are more cheaply painted nowadays.  I also just noticed that the silver-gray oven handle which I guess is supposed to match the stainless front of the oven is chipping so you can see white showing through.  What a cheap piece of crap!

I'm glad you're moving! I bet your kitchen looks beautimous!

I'm having an emotional afternoon and napped for an hour. Gavin has a sore throat and his mom left a message saying she could pick him up and drop him off for me. Uh, what the heck?! Are you stupid?! You know that every time he comes home early, he is FINE. And, what the heck!? If he really is sick, do I want a sick kid around my kids?! It's NOT my job to watch sick kids. Maybe I should get my caseworker to remind her of that. Another daycare provider told me that our caseworker told her we are actually not allowed to watch a sick kid though picking them up from school and watching them until a parent can come and take them off our hands is ok (providing it's not a whole afternoon.) I'm so sick and tired of it and then I have to come up with an excuse of why I didn't answer the phone.

We all napped and Timmy and Delaney are still napping. I should wake them up cause we have to leave in 1/2 hr. They haven't had lunch yet.

I'm feeling really close to quitting daycare. I'm losing a girl this Friday as her mom is done school. I'm relieved but there's no more kids in the area. It's getting to the point where I'm not making enough money to cover my expenses. I have to have more insurance, buy more food, safety things that I normally wouldn't do, etc. I'll be lucky to make $500/month. Plus, I don't feel like my house is safe for daycare. I can't keep it clean or straight. It's not fair to the kids.

Still no sign of Winnie which really has me on edge. We have a car junk yard really close to us now and I could see him being there, trapped somewhere. I'm so ticked though and if he doesn' tshow up, will be VERY mad at dh because he was the one who let him out last night. So, I was snarky with him and said, well, I guess you'll get your wish to purge some more... his food dish, cat litter, toys... He's been on my case to get rid of stuff yet I have big piles of give away stuff and yet this morning, he noticed I'm getting rid of the electric griddle that I haven't used in over a year and asked why are we getting rid of that?! I can't win.

Ok, I have to get off of here and try to do something to distract me. We may actually get to have snack at the table today!

I hope you can give up daycare.  Altho I know you'd be more worried about money.  I wish we could both think of a way to fix that!  It's on my mind 24/7 that we don't have enough money!

If a kid's too sick for school, he's too sick for daycare.

I hope Winnie's okay.  Angel's kitten pack came with this little thing you put on her collar with a number that you use to log in to a site with your information there in case the cat runs away.  So the collar thing just has the website info and the #.  Only problem is it didn't work.  I tried to put our info in and it didn't take the number.  Makes me wonder if there was more info about paying.  I just have this feeling she will be one that tries to get out.  So far we've been really careful about not letting her out at all so she doesn't get a taste for it.  She hasn't tried really, not yet.  I did take her to the bus stop one day but I carried her the whole time from door to van and back and she was pretty terrified.  My fingers are crossed for Winnie's safe return.  Can you put up signs?  In case she's lost, so she doesn't get too far.  Maybe she went back to your old house?  Maybe if you put signs on that street?  Just a thought.  Cats are too smart.

No my kitchen is a mess but my stovetop looks beautimous lol.  I'm using the island to dry dishes again.  I made fudge last night.  It still amazes me that I waited 'til we had no dishwasher to start making all these things that require dishes.  I really need to get into the habit of being more careful about what I use.

BTW I joined consumerreports.org today for dishwasher information - I joined for a month so if you need to look anything up, let me know.  Feel free to use my login!
