Between the stomach virus, strep throat, starting new meds which are making me nauseated, tired, and dizzy, as well as just plain not being able to do things as fast as I'd like, we didn't get nearly as much done as I wanted.  But here's what we accomplished last week - I haven't looked at my Odd Jobs List of things to do because I don't want to be depressed by what we DIDN'T get done!  Even though we didn't get it all done, it's a good start and I think we're both motivated to tackle some more projects after Christmas or even a few smaller ones here and there right now.

  • New dishwasher installed (no work for us but still nice that it's done)
  • 1/4 round molding bought for kitchen but now new dishwasher is set back further than old one and reveals holes in floor so 1/4 round won't do it - need to figure out a solution for this one
  • Delivered all popcorn (yay)
  • Picked up entire house and made decent for Thanksgiving (after which it immediately fell back apart)
  • Made outlet cover box and installed
  • Bought and installed new heat vents
  • Moved a wooden baseboard pulled from one area to another to finish the baseboard under the wainscoting that's been missing for a few years in the living room
  • Bought, painted, and installed baseboards and door frame in living room (they need to be puttied and touched up but otherwise the living room is done)
  • Taped and put one coat of white paint around edges of ceiling to make the edges of old paint jobs look neater
  • Bought, painted, and installed baseboards and door frames in hallway (4 door frames - they also need to be puttied and touched up but otherwise the hallway is done unless I decide to put a coat of paint on the doors as well)
  • Painted and installed trim (crown molding, baseboards, doorframe and thin molding around bathtub) in our bathroom - needs to be puttied and touched up
  • Hooked up faucet and drain in our bathroom (totally Scott, I had nothing to do with this job - I'm proud of him!)
  • Put 3 coats of paint on boys' bathroom door, both sides (need to touch up one edge)
  • Painted trim in laundry room and boys' bathroom (needs to be puttied and touched up)
  • Primed, two coats of paint, two coats of clear coat on banister (needs one more coat of clear coat before I will be totally satisfied)
  • Cleaned out garage and workshop (again, all Scott)

LOL also forgot to say that my knee went out and it's been difficult to walk (it buckles and pain shoots through it) and Sunday I woke up with my shoulder locked up like it did twice before over the past few years and is either my rotator cuff or arthritis - I can't lift my arm above my shoulder or let it hang without support).  I am a mess!!

My word, you are a walking (barely) mess! lol I am amazed at how much you did while dealing with all that sickness and body issues! I would just crawl into bed and stay there... for a looong time!

Well, i think it's Christmas day... gotta make lists for dh and for MIL. Gotta try to wrap what I have, brainstorm gift ideas, etc. I hate that we still have so much to do but at the same time, I think we work better and can't shop early for other people, if that makes sense. Andrew's family is always last minute so asking them for ideas at the beginning of Nov. does not work unless you pester them daily for ideas. So, I guess we just fit right in with the rest of the family! lol

It looks like we'll be hosting Christmas dinner on the 21st (with Andrew's mom, bro and wife, 1/2 sister, husband and 3 kids and possibly Grandma.) So, it would be good for me to start my perfectionsim now but I'm not under any stress for it yet. lol

I saw your other posts but will have to get to those later today. I need to change a stinky bum and get working on cleaning my main floor. I hate it. augh
