Augh, I've had a very unproductive afternoon! I keep on trying to get Timmy to sleep but he refuses. ANd he wants to play with my belly which means scratching me up with his razor sharp nails.

Do the pb blossoms taste better cooled down? I find some cookies actually taste better if they've sat for a while.

Glad you got in a rest even if it wasn't actually sleeping. I think you most definitely deserved it!

The ultrasound went ok though I didn't get in til 15 mins after my appt was scheduled which is frustrating. I did go pee before I left because I would have peed my pants for sure. (Uh, sadly I know about the peeing the pants in the bathroom thing!) I think I managed to stop with some pee still left though I peed SO much. I chugged down half a glass of water before I left so I guess because the appt was late, it had 30 mins to get to my bladder. She said that it looked fine too so I'm glad for that!

I'm not sure if things are ok. Andrew asked her if everything looks good and she said she can't say, the dr will tell us (well, midwife.) I've never really had someone say that. They either say nothing or will say, looks good and not elaborate. I'm not worried though. The baby was very active! The tech. seemed a little rushed at the end (when Andrew came in and she was showing us) so I wasn't too pleased with that cause I would have liked to see a profile of the head. But, she got a picture of each of the legs (which looked so cool!) and a frontal shot of the face which is just plain freaky. The spine looked good at least from what I could see. I don't know if I saw an extra body part of if that was the embilical cord.

So, since we got home at around 12:30, I've made lunch, did a few more dishes and made up the base of the fudge (in 2 pans.) That's it! agh

Timmy is VERY cranky and I can tell he's tired because he keeps on playing with my skin. I wonder if I can get him to sleep right away so then he'll sleep about a hour. I'll just drive to get the kids so then he has more undisturbed time. Plus, the kids want to play on the ice beside our house but I also want them to get working on a craft.

I'm not going to make up a list until I know if Timmy will nap. I'm not going to spend more than 10 mins trying to get him to sleep since I've already spent so much time.

Ok, he's out but not sure how he'll be once I put him down.

I'm starting to feel blah and my throat's hurting. There's this weird tickle in it too. I'm hoping this cold doesn't get any worse cause it's manageable. I guess I need to stick to healthy foods and lots of water.

Here's a list and I hope to check in around 2:50ish

-load into washer (means gathering up dirty laundry)
-clean up kitchen
-clear off dr table
-pick up stuff from my wallet and purse
-get snack ready, cut up canteloupe and I think I have choc. chip cookies
-find gingerbread cookie recipe
-find recipe for bread or rolls and if it'll be ready in time for supper at 5-5:30, make it
-find hook and put in ceiling, hang up spider plant (finally)
-quick sweep in dr area
-find Epicure stuff and see what the red pepper dip needs, add sour cream and mayo to the grocery list
-check go jobs

Ok, chipping away at the list and getting stuff ready for supper. Do you think I'm mean for making Laura go back outside to close the van door? I noticed she was the last one out and just left it open so I called for her but she already went inside. Maddie and Delaney were helping me get Timmy out (on the other side) so I said I'll take over and if they can tell Laura to come back out and close the door, please do. When I went inside, they told me Laura won't so I said, laura, you were the last one out and need to take responsibility for closing the door. She got teary and whiny saying she already took off her boots. I said, I'm sorry but you need to do this as it's your responsibility. So, she stomped out and did close the door. Coincidental thing is the same thing happened this morning at the school with Gavin. He just walked away, leaving the door open. Sure, I could close them but I really think these 2 kids (they're bro and sis) need to learn about responsibility, etc so I tried not to be mean but point out that it's a responsibility thing.

Ack, sorry for the blab. I guess I'm feeling a tad bit bad about it. i wouldn't think twice about making my kids do that but I just feel bad or maybe it's cause I worry how that will be told to their mom, especially Laura...

Oh, I found out that I won't have ANY daycare kids the week of Christmas! Crazy, eh?! Laura and Gavin will be at their dad's. Maddie won't be, oh, wait, unless her dad is working but Maddie will likely be over here playing anyways! If I need to do errands, I don't think her parents would mind if I brought her along and the girls would love having her too, I'm sure. Still not sure about Andrea but I'm fairly sure I won't have her. If I do, ah well, I just will make sure I'm paid for it and work out a payment BEFORE hand (since she's not through the region anymore.) I'll still get paid for Gavin and Laura though I'd get paid more than double if they were here. That sucks but it'll be a VERY much needed break from them. I won't want them back! lol

I'm trying to figure out what the plan is for tonight with dh still. augh

Ok, gotta change Timmy and get upstairs. The girls went up there so gotta follow them.

I am glad you won't have any kids although I understand about needing money.  but you need a break!  And Christmas will be more peaceful and fun for you.

Post as soon as you know about the ultrasound.  I'm sure all is okay though!

No I would have told laura to do that too.  I would probably even tell Braeden's friends to do that but definitely if I were babysitting them.  Chane does that all the time!  What a pain.

Sepaking of, he's throwing snow against the windows AGAIN.  Gotta go yell at him.  Our third snowstorm (although no real accumulation but a little more than the last two).  This is unheard of.  We do not usually get anything 'til January at least.

lol on the snow throwing.. dh is the one who gets in trouble for that! We're supposed to get snow tonight. woohoo!

Ok, supper is cooling... hamburger soup and this herb bread. The bread is pretty good but I dont' think the kids will like it. Em's friend, maddie is here for supper. Her dad is doing odd jobs now, I think (he's been off since last Sept with a broken shoulder yet they still wanted me to watch her to keep her in the routine and to keep a spot with me.) So, she stayed late and I said that we might have supper before she gets picked up. It wasn't ready but she still wanted to stay. So, no problems by me. She's not a picky eater at all so I'm hoping seeing her eat the soup will make my kids want to too!

Gotta make sure Timmy isn't getting into the soup. I had 4 small bowls cooling and he put a spoon in each one. lol He's so stinkin' cute but stubborn sometimes. I also had the main floor looking kinda decent and then he decided to play with plastic bags. ahhhhhh

Well I seem to have hit a wall.  Despite getting rest I've been unable to accomplish anything.  I went ahead and ran errands before getting the kids because I was getting nothing else done.  Paid the car insurance bill and got cash from the bank.  FINALLY deposited my cleaning checks.  One was 2 months old .

Ooops started typing this at least 30 minutes ago!

I need to wash my jeans again.  Got them dirty baking.  I need another pair.  Saw a picture of myself today from Scouts.  Man I look like a giant egg.  I never think of myself as having a belly because my butt is such a major issue but man, I'm ROUND.  So I'm not buying another pair of these.  By the end of January I'm hoping to be in a smaller pair.  Keep your fingers crossed.

Going to look at my lists now.  All I've done is make dinner, eat dinner (two different things - the dinner I made is not the dinner we ate!), packaged the pineapple ham and rice I made for Meemaw, and did some picking up.  Also bathed Chane and washed his hair since he was soaked from outside.  He didn't wear snow clothes - the snow took me by surprise and he just stayed out in it all evening with regular clothes.  He'll probably get pneumonia now.  They are decorating the train now and then Chane wants me to help him wrap all of his gifts.  Braeden insisted on doing all of his completely by himself the other night.  They are all neatly wrapped and under the tree.  He carefully did one at a time.  Sometimes I think he is just like me but times like this, I wonder how he can be so different from me!  He's usually so disorganized and scatterbrained but with some things, especially if he's interested, he's very focused. And his gifts look great, especially for a not-quite-11yo.  That hurts just to write - I can't believe he's almost 11!  He wasn't even quite 7 when I joined this group!

Okay NOW I'm going to look at my lists!

Aww re: Timmy.  Cute!

It's nice to have a friend like that for your kids.  That's what Alec is.  He's such a good kid.  He's a good influence.  Actually all of Braeden's friends are usually good kids.  He goes for the weird but non-aggressive types.

Sorry I didn't see your post - I started typing my other one before you posted it!

Okay, I think I'm going to work on the laundry room, wrapping gifts with Chane (maybe he'll even let me wrap mine while he wraps his - a lot of time he needs attention more than actual help), and maybe folding money with the kids. Actually I'll probably give Braeden the money to fold - he's good at origami.  And I will put the laundry away in our room.  Maybe if I get motivated later I'll do the family room and offices.  Braeden picked up somewhat. Also need to sign C's agenda.

So far all I've done is half-wrap about 5 gifts but C finished his.  We folded money and finished the train.  I'm off to put away laundry and maybe straighten the clothes in the laundry room bins which are a mess.

i put away all the laundry except my shirts to hang (can you tell i have a hang-up about hanging shirts no pun intended?)

also pulled out everything in my office and vacuumed.  GROSS.  washed the floor under my desk and under the other furniture surrounding it.  all my junk is over on the credenza in scott's side so i need to put that back but at least it's pretty clean over here.  i'm not washing any furniture but i did vacuum it all with my brush attachment.  i am not going overboard and worrying about the grout tho - i washed it and magic-erasered it but it still looks awful and i don't care.  as long as the tiles are clean and they are okay.

i'm going to go straighten 4 laundry bins!  then to bed

gnite sara
