Mary is due here at 9:30 and I've done almost nothing!  At least I'm showered - it's nice to be able to bathe the kids upstairs while I take a shower downstairs.

Back with a list in a minute.  Messy house, cars not even cut out yet - ack!

Sara, I just saw your message from yesterday - we posted at the same time.  Did you freeze to death?  I converted the degrees and that's 13 degrees below 0 Farenheit.  Wow!

Even though I'm down to the wire, I can't seem to get going so I'm going to drill.

I'll be back as soon as I vacuum the living room.

Things are moving slow here on MSN. So, not sure I'll get this posted.

You're doing awesome, man!!!

I had a stress day yesterday. Had my home inspection which went ok. Areas of the house were a tad disasterous (the girls' room and the living room wasn't up to par, plus the floor under the dr table was awful) but, I got the basement done!! Yeah, looking back, the only thing I really accomplished was the toys in the basement. So much more should have been cleaned but it was acceptable. (in my standards) My back is pinched from bending so much to pick up the toys but it's liveable.

I still had a rough day with Andrew. He ended up doing the dishes (i had a bunch of baking dishes still) and sweeping/mopping the dr. I guess maybe he felt guilty for not helping me the past week.

I have a daycare kid here. Well, she's one that I watch on and off but since we moved and her brother is in gr. 7, she hasn't been coming as much. I guess she's been off sick this week and isn't quite strong enough to go back today. I figure she's over most of her contagious-ness and this girl is really easy going (she's 10.) So, she's been here since 10 and will be picked up at 3. Kinda messes up my supposed lazy day but that's likely a good thing.

Had a rough morning and Delaney clung to me at the school cause she had a rough morning and did NOT get enough sleep. So, that made me feel bad. I was so tempted to let her come home with me, knowing Samantha was coming and knowing that she's tired. But, I knew the next time she did this, I wouldn't be able to convince her to stay.

Man, Timmy is dumping out containers of toys. AUGH

Going to try to clean up what I can and maybe go through the kitchen toys. I still have some larger containers to go through but they are mostly sorted. I'm sure I'll find some misfit toys in them or toys that need to be cleaned or thrown out because they're broken. But, all the blue containers are organized!!

Not sure what my plan of attack is for today with Samantha here. Hmmm...

Let's see if this works. MSN is being annoying today.

Man, I think the Braelyn and Timmy are terrorizing the kitty so I gotta be quick. Decided to do a quick check and all is well though Timmy has yogurt everywhere on the table and his face.

It's freezing and I want to just snuggle up in bed. But, I have a ton of stuff I should do :( I've got 3-4 loads of laundry that need to be put away and I'm washing one now, with another to go.

Sooo, I guess I need a list so I don't shut down which is what I feel like doing.

-take load out of dryer, load into dryer, wd
-put clothes back into b's bag
-put away groceries
-cut up fruit (I'm going to do a make your own fruit salad for after school snack so that means lots of prep but whatever doesn't get used, the kids can snack on it throughout the week-end)
-lunch: kd and ??
-clean main bathroom, clean upstairs bathroom
-pick up basement, again
-sweep lr, mop floors, pick up lr
-finish dishes, wipe counters, tidy kitchen
-sweep/mop dr/kit/hall

There's a million other things but I'm going to focus on that for now. I'm also tempted to take something for this headache. I woke up feeling like my head weighed 100 lbs. I've had an annoying headache too.

Augh, I did VERY little. I've got Timmy running around naked, I'm waiting for Andrew to email back to see if he can pick up one of the kids from school so then I'm not driving with a kid out of a seatbelt (would be Delaney.) Snack is ALMOST done but I'm still going to have to do some cutting and stuff when we get back.

I did manage to get all my laundry washed and the last load is in the dryer. I also got a nap with Timmy on the couch while Braelyn played beside us (so, it wasn't a big nap as I was awake enough to hear things but it rested my eyes.) I still have a bad headache though.

Gotta throw some clothes on these kids and drive to pick up the others. I wish I could have walked but it's WAY too cold for that. We're under a windchill advisory... if that wasn't the case, I'd likely walk but the wind is what makes it unbearable.

hi sara
i was asleep all day yesterday.  i'm really behind now.  i was in the hospital all thu night.  i thought i was having a stroke.  i wasn't - t hey think it was the cfold meds i was taking or something.  they gave me meds to counteract them and they knocked me out for all of yesterday and i still slept all last nite.  my cold is back.  thu was great painting cars but i started feeling bad and took a bunch of dif meds.  after i went to bed my whole right side went numb and i got up and couldn't talk correctly.  my foot is still numb but it has been numb off and on since the accident so it's different than how i felt thu night.  so now i have a ton to do to get ready for c's party but my cld is dragging me down.  sorry for typos - i'm on scott's laptop.
i need to make a list and drill.  oh and also got my period lol.  when it rains it pours!  i'll be back, hopefully on my own computer but it's so cold down there.

My word, Joni! That sounds most definitely serious. I hope you're feeling a lot better today (especially cause your list is freakin' big!)

We just got back from an errand morning and Timmy's ball hockey. Spent a bit, as usual. augh Actually, I spent a ton at the grocery store yet didn't come out with a lot of stuff. Plus, this was my 'supplement' grocery shop, to get things I didn't get on Friday. But, I guess I did spend almost $25 on chicken, $5 cheese, almost $10 on healthy oatmeal that I'm hoping is good as I got 2 boxes that were on sale and a third of a kind I know I love. Also spent $7 on clementines! ack! I was buying them for $4 a carton but Timmy absolutely loves them and we likely will eat them fast enough so I won't throw any out. It's worth the extra money.

Old Navy has 50% off already clearance prices. I could tell ours was hugely picked over and like usual, didn't find exactly what I was looking for. But, got a few things for Em and a hat for T for next year. Only spent $30. I kinda want to go back without Emily (as she was bugging me to go.)

Got info about cake classes at Michaels so I'm going to sign up for the first course, Tuesday nights. It's 50% off in Feb. so I'm excited about that plus maybe I'll finally learn how to ice a cake properly! I also hope they teach you how to deal with a cake. I've heard lots of different tips on what to do before icing but no matter what I do, it's crumby or the cake falls apart or something! It's only a 4 week course but it's 2 hrs each night and it's something I've never done. All the time to myself is usually spent doing exercise stuff which I'm good with an anxious to do once this baby gets here but this should be a different kind of fun. I just hope it doesn't fill up on me before I can call.

Going to email a friend to ask her about taking the course with me and then I have no clue what I'm going to do today. I'm feeling super lazy, not tired enough to nap... didn't get much cleaning done yesterday. augh

How did the birthday party go? Hope you're feeling good today and taking a break!!

I've done very little today. Drove to school or we would have been late (I was determined to walk but by the time we were all ready, it was too late... sooo, when Andrew leaves at 8:15, we're getting ready. I don't care if we're at the school 10 mins early! As long as it's not as cold as last week, we're good!) Em's boot got stuck in a snowbank and I forgot to pack her extra socks (been meaning to do that for her and D since Christmas holidays.) So, drove back to the school to drop them off. Me, T and D walked around Wal-mart. Had to get pull-ups for D and they had some sales so I wanted to check those out. Signed up for the cake class too!! woohoo! I was so afraid it would fill up fast... uh, no. Just me and one other person so far. lol

Timmy had his 18 month booster shots after and I had timed everything well so we weren't too early or too late. yay. I was feeling ambitious on the way there and was going to make some more appts (our dr is in a plaza that has a ton of health care offices, etc.) The girls need their eyes checked so I was going to make an appt for them and this plaza has a dentist there and since we weren't happy with the one we went to last year, I was going to see if I could make appts for us there. But, Timmy was feisty so that got thrown out the window.

And, that's been my day so far. I keep on burping and having some cramps. i think we have a mild intestinal bug going through us as Delaney has been complaining about her stomach hurting off and on. I know there's stuff making the rounds.

We're walking FOR SURE to pick up the kids so I have about 1/2 hr. I was hoping for a nap but Timmy fell asleep late and me and D played a game on the computer.

So, I'm going to come up with a mini list to do and check it before I leave:
-load into washer (including T's jacket)
-afternoon snack ???, get it set up
-pick up front hall, put away Wal-mart stuff
-bathroom break
-quick tidy of lr, kitchen
-clean upstairs bathroom, including garbage cans and containers
-get chicken out of freezer and find spinach rice risotto recipe

the cake decorating classes sound right up your alley.  i would like to take something like that.  although i don't think i'd be good at cake decorating.  i'm not very neat.

yesterday was a holiday for us - mlk day.

the party went well.  i didn't get anything done on saturday. i  was too sick.  i decided i'd rather chance waking up feeling better and just rush.  i did feel a lot better sunday.  we rushed around but not as much as you'd think - i was no feeling perfectionist.  scott did plenty so that was a big help.  i kept finding myself messing with the balloons instead of cleaning so i had to get back to that.  i didn't bother dusting or anything.  dust is so thick on my furniture you can write in it but i didn't care much.  mostly because it was all kids with the only adults staying being my two sisters and their husbands.  and my sisters are sucky housekeepers so they were impressed by clean bathrooms and a vacuumed floor lol.  the kids had fun, the cake looked very cool (mary made it for me - a lego head), and my sisters wound up staying after and we got a pizza which is a first for us to just all hang out together.  the guys went down and watched the p layoffs.  we probably hung out more because my one sister, mary, who never celebrated birthdays is now around with her very sociable husband who likes to hang - they always have friends over and dinner with friends and stuff so it was nothing for them to stay and watch football whereas my other sister and husband aren't really like that.  he is but not her.  so he was happy to get pizza and watch football with the guys.  sarah ended up hiding out in my living room with one of scott's weird books and mary & i went upstairs and watched a tv show while the kids played so it was nice in an odd way.  sarah's husband wants to do it more often - he was talking about a pig roast with everyone's families including all the in-laws which would be interesting since we've never had anything where all the crow kids (meaning me and my sisters and brother) AND our significant' others' families all hung out at the same time.  usually for baby showers or whatever there might be one inlaw family there, depending on who the shower is for, so that would be weird to have the entire extended family.  they are all so different than each other but it's his family that's really into family gatherings - meanwhile i doubt my mil, who is our only extended family really since scott's little brothers lives 3 hours away, would come to something like that. she doesn't like noise and there'd definitely be noise!

i see you got pullups for delaney - does she still wet at night?  i feel for you.  we are still buying them for both kids and poor braeden is so big his whole butt hangs out.  i really hope puberty stops this for him like it did for erik!

well i'm going to go shower and then run braeden's glasses up to the school.  it's hard for him to remember them - i need to put a note in the van for him to remember.  it's a hard thing since it's not like he can just pack them in one place, since he wears them off and on all the time.  i'm just proud of him that he hasn't lost them yet!  they are on his little wooden cat at night.

i doubt i'll get anything done today.  we'll see.  i'm feeling lazy!

Well, I did have a post written around 10am this morning but I didn't copy it and lost it. augh

I'm so glad the party went well and you let go of perfectionism!! It's so much easier to have fun and relax that way, eh? Too bad I usually forget. Hanging out afterwards sounds fun too :) I love doing stuff like that though the couples I enjoy doing that most with aren't usually available or have lots of other plans so that kinda sucks.

Delaney pees maybe once every 2 weeks now at night. But, when she doesn't have one on, she usually pees. It's some sort of weird comfort thing. I notice when she's sick, she'll often pee. Not sure if it's cause her sleep pattern is totally messed up by coughing or if she sleeps deeper. She can fit into 3T-4T size which is crazy but means I'm not spending a ton and getting 10 pull-ups. We do reuse them if she doesn't pee though.

I haven't done much here. Gavin called his mom from school to say that he's sick. Now, I know him and Laura have been hacking and sniffling a lot this morning and yesterday so I somewhat expected that. She asked if I could take him (just around 10:30.) I said that me and Timmy weren't feeling the best and that I was just about to have a nap with him. Now, I wasn't feeling the best because I was wiped and tired and Timmy has been fussy because of his needles. Plus, do I need a kid here all day, coughing his germs around?! I still feel extremely bad and feel like I somewhat lied to her. I did nap with Timmy (though we had a snack first and it took a while to get him settled so it was more like 11:30.) I feel worse now though as I woke up with a headache!

Augh, I emailed Andrew and he said he probably would have taken him cause he'd be easier to handle on his own. Uh, yeah, a 10 yr old, at home with just a 19 month old. I think he needs to nap but there's no way I could make him nap. He'd want to play video games and be bored out of his mind. Yeah, that doesn't really sound appealing. Plus, I'm watching my friend's daughter Wed-Fri and then Mon-Thurs (Friday is a PD day and I'll have 5 extra kids so no break there!) so that means this is my last day to be lazy and not have extra kids around.

Gavin and Laura's mom hasn't taken off a day to be home with her sick kinds in the 1.5 yrs I've watched them. There was one day I had to take off because of an appt. and Laura ended up having pneumonia so surprisingly, her mom stayed at home with them then!

oh-oh, Timmy's getting into trouble and our late lunch should be cooled now. I have brownies in the oven and was going to make zucchini cake for snack but not sure I'll get there. If I don't, I'll pull out some frozen banana cookies.

I need a quick list:
-decide if I'm going to drive or walk (likely drive)
-put both strollers away, probably both in garage so we can clean out the trunk or take stuff to value Village tonight
-email Andrew, ask what his plans are for tonight? skating?
-do a quick search for skating in the area
-shake out table cloth, clear table
-finish up dishes
-quickly pick up lr and kitchen
-load into wash, bring up clean laundry if not too heavy
-start a procrastination list
-take hamb. meat out of freezer
-bathroom break
-cut up tomato, lettuce, cheese
-make zucchini cake?, take cookies out if I dont' get it done in time
-extra: finish cleaning upstairs bathroom, put diaper garbage bag together once I've wiped it out, bring red container downstairs
-put batteries into Lips mike
