I have a ton to do with a short deadline but can't get started.  The house is a mess and I've got lots of stupid things started all over like papers all over the couch i was going to sort and laundry all over the dining room table. For some reason I wasn't able to do much earlier in the week because there was nothing super obvious to do (lots to do, just not big messes everywhere).  Well now there are big messes everywhere and I still can't do anything.  What is my problem?

I'm going to drill a little.  Hopefully that will get me going.  I have more important things than the house to worry about (like finishing 50 pinewood derby trophies and the kids' cars) but of course I'm having trouble concentrating on those with the house a mess.  Also am missing a few important receipts so I really need to do a big paperwork overhaul in the next few days but don't want to get started in a mess.

Oh and can you believe we finally found out the car was totaled on Monday and still haven't gotten a value?  It's been 3 weeks with no car - just a car payment we are still making!

I'm right there with you. The beginning of the week flew by cause I didn't really have much to do. Actually, I still don't have much of a deadline looming over me except for 5 extra people for dinner but they all have seen my house at it's worse so that's really not motivating me (and 2 are kids. lol). Well, I guess I would like to have my house nice looking for Becky as she's never seen it yet but I know she doesn't judge... she may think, whoa, this house is totally not organized but she wouldn't hold it against me, KWIM?!

I keep on doing dumb little burpy things that are driving me up the wall and I can NOT stay awake. I keep on doing huge yawns. I may try to have a tea with caffiene as that's the only caffiene I have in my house and I'm feeling chilled. But, whenever I have tea, I get the burpy things so I don't to make it worse!!

I need to work hard on paperwork. I have a ton of keepsake stuff that needs to be filed. Actually, I made a list of stuff that HAS to be done by the time the baby is born which includes getting caught up on baby books (Timmy's hasn't even been written in), school day treasuries, etc. That'll take care of a lot of misc. papers I have in my room. I'm kicking myself for not keeping up with it and dating it though so now I'm going to have to guess at A LOT of things.Gotta go through my receipts for last year so I can do my tax write-offs for daycare.

Aw man, are your boys sick with serious stuff? I was thinking of keeping D home because she was coughing lots last night. We definitely have sickness holding on here.

Man, insurance companies sure dont' move fast, eh?!

Timmy woke up and I just realized I gotta get the zucchini cake into the oven if I want that to be for aft. snack. I really should pick up the main floor but the more I think about it, the more I dont' want to do it and just go hide in my room under the covers or something.

nah they're not that sick.  i just felt like keeping them home.  i rarely do that and i probably shouldn't have but i just did.  but braeden is getting a cold.  i've still got mine - almost 3 weeks now.  it developed into bronchitis and i just can't get well.  sounds like delaney has what is going around here.

i don't think i ever wrote in c's baby book either.  my memorabilia/keepsake stuff is basically a bunch of boxes i throw junk in.  i doubt i'll ever do that until the kids are grown.  that's what my mom did lol.  we all grew up and moved out and she spent some time going thru pictures and stuff and gave us each a packet with our report cards and pictures.  no baby stuff though.  growing up our keepsake stuff was just a jumble of papers too so it give sme hope that i'll get it done one day!

i feel so guilty i can't remember anything about chane when he was a baby.  not even his first word (which he claims is "violence" because b's first word was "die! die!" holding his finger like a gun because erik taught him that and chane wants to have a cool story too).  other than the fact that he rolled over really late and then just rolled around like it was nothing and walked later than braeden but then walked around like he'd been doing it forever.  he did climb a lot.  i wish i'd written all that down!  so good job to you for trying to get it done now!

well i cleaned up the kitchen and sorted/put away most of the laundry on the table.  i have all this stuff to do but i'm bored.  i just sit and stare at the tv which isn't like me.  i'm too bored to do anything and usually that would mean nap but i'm too bored to nap lol.  i'd feel better if i knew exactly what to do with these trophies but i'm still not 100% sure how they'll turn out so i'm procrastinating in case they turn out crappy because then i know i'll feel bad!  i know, i'm crazy.

gonna go attempt to clean up our bedroom

ARGH, hardly anything done. I got the zucchini cake in the oven, that's about it. Tried to lie down on the couch just to see if I could get some energy back... Timmy decided to bug a very easily buggable Braelyn so every 2 seconds... he's doing this, or that. AHH

I picked up a few things and tried to hide 2 Dora pictures Delaney did, in the recycling. Now I feel guilty but they are just colouring sheets so nothing too special. Augh, I'm just feeling emotional for some reason.

Gotta try to do a tad bit more picking up and get Braelyn to put on her regular clothes, not dress up clothes. Getting out the door on time will be a challenge today, I think.

I'm ticked too, waiting for an email from Andrew that says whether or not he can pick up garlic bread on the way home. I also went into a bit of a rant... he's been driving home a guy from work who's fairly young, still lives at home with is parents. Well, he failed his driving test, twice, so now he has no licence so he asked Andrew to drive him to and from work. He is out of the way for Andrew... Andrew pretty much drives past our house to take this guy home... it's at least an extra 20 mins of driving before AND after work because he has to backtrack. Andrew can't do any errands for me on his way home from work because he has to drop this guy off first. Um, he's a big boy, he can wait in the car while you run in to a store or he can come in with you. It's ticking me off. He's paying him in iced capps... a $3.25 drink that is nothing but sugar and cream and totally bad for you. Dh loves them but yet complains about how he has to lose weight, eat better, etc. Apparently, those dont' count. Andrew also made the stipulation that this guy had to make an appt. for his G1 (to just get his beginner's so I guess he'd still need a ride to/from work) but he keeps on putting him off. Andrew hates behaviour like that. I told him, you're totally enabling him!!! This guy hates driving (yet has his own car) and will put off this test (which he has to pay money for) as long as you're ok with driving him. It's only costing him $3/day too so why would he want to change that?!

I asked Andrew, what is going to happen if you take off time for the baby (which he better.) Is he still going to drive him to work and home?! What about if he has to take a sick day!? I know ANdrew wants to help but this is ridiculous. There was a day last week when I wasn't feeling good, Andrew had a late night and he thought about calling in sick. But then he said, ah, but I'd still have to drive Ben to work. WHAT?! That's ridiculous!!

Sorry for the rant, I'm just so fed up. This has been going on for almost 2 months now. Andrew used to leave at 8:45 for work (so able to help more before school) but now he leaves closer to 8:15. He isn't home til almost 6 most nights when really, he should be home long before 5:30. (when there's no traffic, I can easily get to his work from our house in 10 mins or less.)

Ack, gotta head out the door. Now I'll really make us late!!!
