Lesson 3:

I will have to back track later but today we learned about how the state of your house reflects who you are and even about your relation ship with your family.  This is my third class so, like I said I will have to backtrack.

The basement could reflect your subconscious.  For example if it is messy, it means there are things in your life that you are not dealing with.  The same if you stuff things in your office.

If your kids' rooms are messy it could reflect your relationship with your kids.  I think you get what I mean and I'm sure this all sounds very familiar.  I laughed a lot today.

Our homework is to look around the house and pick a piece or pieces of furniture and say "this is me" and see how it is reflective of you.  For example if you have a really old mattress it could reflect something about your relationship with your husband.  If your furniture is a bright colour it could reflect that you are vibrant or loud, etc.

I talked about how I am not dealing with my mess even though I have had plenty of time to deal with it and how I have realized it could mean that I don't want to deal with it because then I would have to find something else to do!  It could mean that I am unwilling to face fear ie. change in my life, eg. I said maybe I know that that would mean I will have time to get my driver's licence.  She said it could mean that I fear something ie.  driving.

Pretty interesting stuff.  So I believe the whole homework is to see how the state of your home reflects you and what you can find out about yourself just by looking at your home.

Sooo I'm not watching a movie tonight and am dealing with that corner in my bedroom that is still not done!  Part of the reason is that at Thanksgiving when I was tidying up I had to move some stuff from the hallway into that corner so the piles got more again!

A few more things:

Insanity:  We are all insane.  Insanity is doing the same things over and over again even though they are not working.

Karma:  When you live your life asleep.  You let fate guide you and pick up a lot of "clobber" along the way.

Darma:  Ah I forgot the exact description but it is to do with taking action and taking charge of your life I believe.  I will have to ask the teacher.
