(feel free to post on here, I just don't mind - I just need to get the rules written down): Healthy Eating Contest Rules
Points Per Day: Water - at least 80 oz - 1 pt Fruits/Vegetables - at least 6 svgs, 3 of which must be veggies - 1 pt No take out food from fast food restaurants, concessions, snack bars, convenience stores, special grocery store runs, and/or vending machines - 1 pt (0 cal beverages don't count) No carbonated beverages - 1 pt No eating after 8 PM - 2 pt All of the above in one day - Bonus 1 pt No sugar - 1 pt No white flour - 1 pt Exercise - 1 pt per 1/2 hour Pounds lost - 2 pt per lb We are not penalizing for "bad" food eaten since this is supposed to be positive all the way thru. I think that's it. I need to find the scrap of paper I wrote it on. At first there were more things plus we had to do each thing for a certain # of days to get one point but decided yesterday it would be more motivating and easier to track if we didn't string anything across multiple days. So now we can get more points more quickly but we raised the end total to 1,000 points so it should still take a long time to achieve it... I think this is easier for me to work on since I can see instant progress by totaling my points. |

I see that weekends will definitely be a challenge - hopefully Sunday will be better. Ate granola bars which are somewhat sweet, but Scott gave me "no sugar" back if I would not get dessert or eat any other sugar which DEFINITELY helped me a lot since I was going to order a big dessert and would probably still be snacking if he didn't give me a reprieve... Scott gave me the sugar again since I started to eat bday cake and it sucked, he said if I didn't eat any other sugar (I wanted ice cream but was trying to resist), I could have the point. Today to help Scott out I gave him back his "no sugar" and "no flour" if he didn't eat any more white flour or sugar all day after he had pancakes with syrup this morning - he said I didn't have to but then he did manage to avoid sugar (he had half a slice of pizza so he lost the white flour anyway) so i'm glad because I think it helped him curb a day of crap eating.
