So, I'm checking in... yup, that's right, no one has showed up yet. Now, there's only 2 vehicles coming... BIL and wife are bringing MIL and GMIL. The other car is dh's sister (sort of, MIL had her at 16, gave her up for adoption but found each other 15 yrs ago? Maybe more than that. She comes to all our things, along with her dh and kids so that's really cool.) We're afraid SIL isn't coming just cause they usually aren't this late and they live out of town where the blowing snow would affect them the most. Or, they could be talking with BIL and will show up around the same time they do.

 

So, the 2 extra hours helped A TON. My house still isn't where I want it to be but it's decent and picked up almost everywhere. The basement looks great, thanks to the girls though it badly needs a sweep and I'm not doing it. lol I'm almost done my dessert and dh is wrapping presents for today. See, yeah, we needed those 2 hours!

 

I'm so sore from bending. Actually, my belly hurts. I'm so tired of being pregnant and I'm only barely past halfway.

 

Not sure what to do about snacks now... I'm thinking we'll likely eat first and then do presents so the dips I made for the veggies may not be needed. Actually, maybe I'll just put those out with dinner. I'm kicking myself for not making another dessert or something.

 

Oh, dh's idea is that we do rooms TOGETHER. He doesn't like the idea that we both do our own thing around the house though that's what always happens so I don't get it. We're working together to get the house cleaned so not sure why we'd have to work on the same room unless it was that bad or we had the same task like sorting through a pile of papers that we both need to look at.

 

Also, I didn't realize today is Sunday. How sad is that? I wondered why you were saying we were late starting a Sunday thread. Ah, I'll be so messed up by the time school starts again.

 

Ok, I have enough of a break. Going to cut up some veggies, make juice and cut up bananas, put cool whip on the dessert and chill it. Gotta put the second tray of fudge out some where too (I just put the topping on it now.)

 

Hope you're having a good day and have a good night! I likely won't be on again tonight unless it's a quick check in to tell you how things went. I just have my kids next week and I want to maintain my clean house but take care of the, um, numerous containers of 'junk.' I'd love to get the toys and craft area sorted with their help too but that may be too ambitious.

your dh is a lot like me so i can understand him wanting to do the rooms together. the whole "5 minute" thing came from me wanting to do the house at the same time - he's just got an even more narrow focus! lol

 

i'm so glad you got another 2 hours but i hope your company shows after all that.  i bet the girls would be disappointed if they didn't.  have fun!  that's very cool about dh's sister.

 

i'll help you keep your house clean this week since i'll still be cleaning!  i think this may be the first t ime we (as in you and i) have gotten ready for christmas together - normally one or the other of us ends up going off by ourselves for christmas.  this has really helped me so thanks a lot - i hope it's been helping you too!

 

we have a list for tonight and it's not too bad.  i'm gong to keep drilling even tho i  know you're not here.  but i'll be thinking about you and your company - i hope they get there and you have a wonderful time.  and can put your feet up soon!

10:30 and everyone's home or headed home. Everyone showed up around 5 or just before. SIL's dh wasn't feeling well so that's why they showed up late... a call would have been nice but ah well!

 

It was pretty good though I so didn't feel organized with supper and I'm sure it showed but I don't really care and know that others know that I'm not a take charge person. They helped a ton in the kitchen both before and after supper so that's nice (though we were prepared to do the dishes ourselves.) We have a ton of turkey to deal with though and that's after people took leftovers!

 

I didn't sit much so I'm thinking we may watch a movie or something. I don't think I could just go to sleep right now though I'm tired.

 

Drilling this past week has definitely helped! If I was the only one around, I definitely would have issues. lol

 

Ok, this is the second time I see you mentioning something but do your guys have school this week!? We have 2 weeks off, we go back Mon. Jan. 6th, I think? Or 5th.

 

Augh, Timmy is so beyond tired that I think it's making it hard for him to go to sleep. I'm SO ready for him to fall asleep so this is very very frustrating. grrr

 

I'm going to start a to do list for tomorrow cause I'm going to need to stay on top of things, that's for sure!

 

i'm glad your company stayed late!  help in the kitchen means they were comfortable so that's good.

 

yes my kids have to go monday and tuesday THANK GOD.  that's how i plan to get everything done!  they wish they could have at least the 23rd off but i'm so glad they don't.

 

today is cleaning day with a few errands and a pack meeting which i'm all ready for.  tomorrow is cooking and final prep.  i'm getting that small bad feeling of being prematurely sad christmas is over but trying to shake it off.  like i know in 4 days i'll be let down.  ahhh

 

gonna go take a look at your list and make mine.  b got up with a bad headache - he fell asleep at 5:30 last night and woke up at 7 so then he couldn't sleep.  i gave him tylenol, caffeine and he's having a shower instead of a bath and says he feels better.
