Frosted flakes and Fruit Loops.  Fruit Loops I find especially disgusting, so artificial but the kids love them.  They now come in 1/3 less sugar and the kids still like them.

My kids are allowed to have a really junky cereal about once every 3 months.  Yup. that's it!

Other than that they eat Cheerios or Rice Krispies and in the winter Ben loves oatmeal (the homemade kind not the sugary, additive-filled one that comes in those little bags).  I just do it in the microwave.  It is not hard.  I may try that thermos method this winter.  Ben also likes scrambled eggs in a mug.  It keeps the eggs warmer and it's fun.  Kate likes her cereal or German pancakes.

Junky cereal is a pet peeve of mine.  I think it's wrong to sell it as breakfast cereal when it is in fact snack food.  Mothers please fight with all your might against this.  Our kids are being pressured and brainwashed by the media into wanting to eat that junk.  And then there are those Dunkaroos -Grrrrrrrrrr!!!
