I always buy breadsticks now.  Sesame is good or the ones with rock salt on them.  Kate likes them but not Ben... Oh well.

President's Choice makes these low fat crackers that are made with oil instead of vegetable shortening.  My mom is always telling me how vegetable shortening or lard makes crackers and cookies so unhealthy.  That's why it's really better to make them yourself including making pie crust with oil or butter instead of oil.

The kids also like devilled eggs (mayo not so good but eggs are very nutritious and protein).  I never buy low fat mayo, margarine, or other dairy products.  I believe you will just put more on your bread so you might as well buy the real stuff.

Tonight for snack the kids had cantaloupe, Brian had a carrot (we call it a What's up Doc Carrot) and Kate and Ben had those low fat crackers, ... Kate had hers with that amazing cream cheese with green onions in it (comes like that from the store!!) Real green onion not dried stuff!  Brand is Western.  I'm sure the States has equal products or even better selection.

We do get chips but not all the time.  It's a hard one for me to quit.. comes from my parents hardly ever buying them as a child... so that is one reason to not completely deny your kids stuff... I mean I got chips maybe once or twice a year!!
