how is it that when men are ill, the world has literally stopped? I've had M.E for 5 yrs and am in constant pain and always tired, added to that I have a stinking cold and cough....however I still have to get up every day and run around after all the kids and do all the housework. On the other hand, my other half has been ill, and was off work mon & tues with a bug....now he says his back hurts (he did hurt it last week) and he can't go in today either! I've been up the last 3 nights with Charlie as he doesn't sleep much, but I still have to get on with it. Even last month when I was being sick all day, I still had to cope with Charlie on my own. What is it with men, that means they can't carry on in the same way? I'd like nothing better than to have a lie in, and relax....but that is neve going to happen is it? I mean if I stop.......what then?? If any of my family is ill, I have to look after them (and I don't mind...really) but no-one stops to look after me when I'm ill. I'm so fed up....have so much to do for xmas still, and with him ill now, I have no-one to sit with Charlie while I try to get on wrapping gifts etc.....don't know how I'm going to get it all done. I know exactly how you feel,I am full of a cold now and got a broken leg but i have to get on with it and do stuff,Daz had a cold last week-he had 2 days off work and lay on the settee all day!! Id tell him to stop being so bloody selfish and get something done-the world doesnt stop coz men are ill!!.Hope you are feeling better soon and you manage to get all the presents wrapped and things done...Claire x |

i know your pain hun my hubby is the same,i am off work till feb with and bad hand i am not suspose to use it at all but like u i have no choice in the matter,my hubby was born lazy,he goes to work comes home sits on the comp to play poker and after that he goes to be he then gets up 10 hours later sits back on the computer and he will stay there till he has to go to work he hardly spends time with the kids and when he does he only plays with sophie he pushes joshua away all the time and when he is ill the world stops too. i never get to rest when i am ill at all just like u all men r the same they think they r gods gift and there for hasve the right to be lazy i feel for u hun i really do hope u have a good xmas love emma.xxxx |
