On Ice
I'm working on this deck project. I got to a point where there is a lot of damage and lots to replace. I have lots of boards up and some just sitting there for me to (carefully) step on. I did get a couple main supports replaced and am so happy with the progress. Today I am doing about 10 things at once and have a lot on my mind. I drilled a hole for the fawcet and absent mindedly turned and walked away. I stepped onto a non supported board, it went down, I fell and twisted my ankle. I know it's not broken, but it sure hurts. There is a lump on top-side that looks like a golf ball. I crawled down the hall and took some Ibuprofen and went to bed. My son came home later and he thinks that I have minor sprain and that I pulled tendons. Well now my ankle is on ice and I'm drinking warm vodka.

If he should put a mattress at the bottom... would it be just to cushion his fall...? |

Robin you don't need to elevate the leg if you can keep the blood alcohol level consistantly high. |

Can't I just elevate the legs for fun anyway?? |

I have the deck planking all safely supported not and the railings are secure, and the Ramada half done.
I'm taking a break now....will get back to this soon. |

The ankle feels pretty good now and I can wiggle the toes. I am healed. But I am still black-and-blue on top of the toes and around the bottom of the ankle. Walking quite fine now. and now it doesn't hurt when the dog jumps on it. |
