Where to start..hummm I'm a 45 year old divorced man (wife cheated so bye bye). I'm an artist and write poetry. Yes, I'm a bit of a romantic. I love to cuddle, play, make love for hours then cuddle again...mmmmm yummy . I'm in a wheelchair but don't consider myself disabled..just inconvienienced.

I like to workout, create things, sing, and live life as best as I can. I'm a bit reclusive as the world just isn't real wheelchair friendly..lol (you know, steps, narrow doorways etc.)

More than you wanted to know about Sourdough (John)

I was born 52 years ago as of this writing and adopted at birth into a wonderful family. My elder sister and younger brother (now deceased) were also adopted. Carrying on that tradition, my wife and I adopted our two sons before she gave birth to a home-grown daughter. Aaron, the eldest, is in college at the University of Alaska studying mathematics. Ben is an apprentice electrician and Morgan, the youngest, is a high school student studying boys.

I still reside in Alaska where I practice law. I worked as a government lawyer in the areas of child protection, criminal defense and guardianship/conservatorship of people who cannot manage their own affairs. I recently retired after 20 years in that job and have returned to private practice.

Alaska is also the source of my nickname. People who have lived in Alaska for a long time refer to themselves as "sourdoughs" -- a reference to the early prospectors who carried sourdough starter with them from place to place for all their baking needs. Another definition is that a sourdough is someone who is "sour on the country but doesn't have the dough to leave."

Aside from the internet and whatever activities my kids are pursuing, my hobbies and interests include Tang Soo Do, a Korean martial art with the same roots as the more familiar Taekwando; water skiing; and swimming. My background is in theater and I love all forms of artistic expression.

I'm always open to new friendships, as long as they are based on honesty and respect. I love a good debate and exploring differences of opinion on a wide range of topics. I am very tolerant of people's many differences, but I have no tolerance for dishonesty, manipulation, or personal attacks.

I'm peny, aka penypie (thanks mw), penypal (thanks Nastyy) and penykins (thanks Starry)! I live in Memphis, Tennessee. I still consider myself to be a Floridian, because I loved and lived there for 23 years in the Cocoa Beach area.

I have a wonderful man, Charles, aka the Pguy, and we share a quaint little home with two dogs and a Cockateil. We live a very simple life, and get more enjoyment out of nature than a night out on the town.

I have a son, Kevin, who is 24 (he lives in Florida), and a daughter, Laina, who is attending college in Georgia.

I'm a happy person, and try not to let everyday life get me down. I like to look at the glass as being "half full". Music is a great love of mine. At one time, I taught piano, but no longer do. It was really a treat to teach little hands to play, and to see the smiles on the children's faces when they accomplished something new!

We like to take trips to parks in Tennessee and Arkansas, and love rock-hunting, and also love to hunt for interesting driftwood down by the Mississippi River.

You'll usually find me in my hiking boots or tennis shoes, and wearing jeans. No fancy here! Well, that's a little about me!

I'm a 50-something lady, married to Dennis, living in Granbury, Texas. I have no natural children, but I have two stepdaughters whom I love dearly. The elder is married and works as Communications Director for a school district. She is the mother of 3: a boy and 2 girls. Dennis' younger daughter is still single, works as a pharmacy technician and goes to college. She is an accomplished artist who aspires to own her own art studio.

I am a CPA, with a speciality in industry accounting. I've never worked in a public accounting firm and don't do taxes. That's rare, but it used to be allowed in Texas. Dennis is retired US Air Force (24 yrs.). He is an electronics technician. He was born in Panama and lived there until his early teens. He, his mother and his sister then moved to New York.

My full time job is pretty interesting. I work for Dean Foods, the largest dairy beverage producer in the US and the 15th largest beverage company in the world. They are centralizing their Accounts Payable functions - moving them from the individual dairies to one service center in Fort Worth, Texas. It's a two year project. I am a Transition Team Leader. For all of 2008, I will be traveling to dairies to orchestrate these moves. I will spend 2-3 weeks each month on the road.

When the project is finished, I am supposed to move to the Accounting department.

I am originally from Buffalo, New York. I am the youngest of 4, (3 girls, 1 boy). My oldest sister is a member of the group (GigiKathy). We have lost both of our parents but expect to find them when we get to other side!

I'm not sure what to put here that everyone doesn't already know...happily married since 1991...two beautiful sons who alternately make me swell with pride and go bananas...seem to be hopelessly hooked in a series of dead end jobs but some are better than others...I love words and reading and stuff like that, puzzle books and word games and such...I change from a quiet shy person to a loud obnoxious person to a normal person to a weirdo, not sure if that's the bipolar talking or just me being a goof. This group has become closer to me than most of my family, and I'll be eternally grateful to everyone here forever for that.
