go hand in hand more often than not these days! I was afraid of this and pretty damn pissy about it too! My credit is not the best tho I have been working on rebuilding it! I hate this...studies show it has nothing to do with your abilities as a worker! And more often than not people who have had financial stress tend to be hard workers! Again penalize those of us who have no money to begin with!

oh yea it counts.....my hubbys job is directly related to his credit score to first of all have it and to maintain it.......kinda sucks but its how it is these days...yes car insurance charges you according to your score not necessarily your driving record...isnt that wonderful..i think the companies in charge of your score are a dangerous collection of personal information that can really make a horrible and possibly negative difference in your quality of living should you have financial difficulties. Its downright scarey.

Yep I sure did hear about credit ratings and getting a job. It's bullshit if ya' ask me! I have shitty credit at this time and pray that if I do get offered a job at the hospital they won't take this into acct. because then I'm really screwed!

so is it your actual score? or just the report they look at? I'd like to know cuz I have to pay to see my actual score! you can see your report for free once a year but it does not show your score only your history...

friggin' stupid! anyway...I got my score...and thank god I am not in bad shape at all like I thought I would be...I am borderline good...so I just have to keep myself in shape like I have been and I will be ok! My lawyer told me every year I keep my credit clean will be one step closer to an excellant score like I used to have! I see he wasn't lying! and hell yes I am breathing easier now!

I don't agree with tying your credit score to ANYTHING but I've been told that their rationale is that a poor credit score or rating is an indication of irresponsibility.  Like I said, I don't agree because there are just too many other factors that could adversely affect your credit.

In addition to the indicator of irresponsibility, the theory is that if you have bad credit you are more likely to carry through with temptations to steal or de-fraud.

sometimes people get in over their heads trying to support their families. a loss of a job, accident, etc. can bring bad credit or bank ruptsy.

a few people i know had filed bankruptsy after spending years trying to just pay off interenst on their bills. now they have a chance to start over.

Yep! That's what happened to me the first time around w/bankruptcy MW... the first ex-loser!!! BUT then again, it was a blessing in disguise because after a few yrs I had the best credit rating I've ever had and maintained it until I hooked up w/Terrance, who shot it all down to hell for me now. MY OWN FAULT THOUGH!

well, even if it was our fault in choosing them, we surely didnt asked to be ripped off by them! Mine ran my phone bill way up, took out credit cards and loans, all in my name and ss.  I spent years paying for it, and trying to explain my way thru it. Still Its there, and reflects on MY credit, not his!
