lol  Chemy   I  don't like cast iron for a teakettle... they rust and get gunky.  I'd go with stainless or enamel coated cast...

cool I was reading up on them and that was what I had read! I like the idea of enamel coated cast iron... I read that stainless doesn't hold heat that well...of course I'm not sure how important that is...

~I had a cast iron one, and thats what happened to it.. gunk, rust... although it worked fine. I finally got tired of seeing all that when I would fill it up. I would guess that was in the air.... Anyways Ive got a stainless steel one now, seems to work....

The only thing I have cast iron is my pan and my stomach! LOL! Both are crusty and rusty. LOL!
