President Obama will face many tough times/decisions/crisis in his first term. He will have to hit the ground running next January but leaving all that aside, it is very reassurring to know that we can all sleep safe in our beds at night without worrying that Sarah Palin is only a heartbeat away from the presidency.

He made me feel included in his victory speech...I've never heard a government official of such a high ranking position ever include "disabled" people in their speech. Made me think he's ok. I was happy to see him win but not at all surprised. I was suprised at how badly he blew McC out of the water.

And me too, griz! He has a way, huh? I think we'll see some great changes soon.

you know, I gotta give Bush ALOT of credit for helping create the situation where many in the US were so desperate to make a change, they'd even accept a black man when they would have preferred not to.  Bush and Palin didn't help McCain's cause at all.

Obama to me, seems so darn genuine that it's hard to imagine he's just putting on a show, or selling us a bridge. I PRAY I'm not wrong about this man, but I see so much hope for the future of the United States now and will back this man up 100% because he's right when he says we all need to put in the effort to make this right.

Just mho - I give Bush absolutely NO credit for anything - he doesn't even deserve credit for f*&king things up.....I think Cheney can take that credit.

Maybe one day many can get over the "black" label and just call him a man, a man who is brave enough to try to change things.  I personally don't see a color issue here at all, other than it's the historic breakthrough that it is about time this nation had.  Many people need to just get over it and move forward - it is the 21st century after all.

I'm thinking that by reading other posts and such in BH that I am allowed to say my opinions here, right?  And I have no problem with getting it dished back out to me.  As a newbie, it's kinda hard to judge these things.

That's what the place is all about Roz...your opinion matters as much as anyone's and you are encouraged to express it.

Thanks Grizzer and I'm happy you feel the same way, if only the rest of country could think like this and come together it might make for a quicker recovery time. Alas, to each his own.

Ros, Grizzer is the man to talk to when it comes down to minatures. I've been following his work now for a year now and I like what he does very much. My mom is a minature collector and has over a thousand minatures to her collection. She'd go gaga over Grizz's masterpieces. Heehee.

As for Bush, he's one big fuckup! Excuse my French, but it is what it is!! So that being said, Ros... feel free to express yourself, newbie or not! LOL!

Wow Lynnie...your mom is a true collector. Staer her towards my Yessy site once I get it finished.

You know I most definitely will! She started collecting them in her late 20's and now she's 58 so yeah you can imagine the collection she's got going on. I think she said she's leaving them bad boys w/me too! Heehee. Not that I want my mommy going anywhere soon, but I'm going to have a collection out of this world when God calls her home. She's got everything from Sesame Street figures to Walt Disney and so on. She's spent a lot of money on them too and now has taken a breather from buying anymore 'cause her and my dad only got their savings and what they call their "relief funds" aka pension checks. LOL!
