ok quirks

MW says it's quirky I have to have the TV on to go to sleep.

People think it's odd I sit on the bathroom counter w/ my feet in the sink to put on my makeup.

quirk [ kwurk ] (plural quirks)

noun
Definition:

1. odd event: a strange and unexpected turn of events
a strange quirk of fate

2. odd mannerism: a peculiar habit, mannerism, or aspect of somebody's character

3. curved shape: a curved shape, pattern, or decoration, e.g. a flourish in handwriting

4. architecture groove: a continuous groove running along a molding or separating a molding from adjoining members
I totally match up with #3.  Always curvy, usually decorated.

Other than that, I have eating habits that could be considered quirky...can't eat a sandwich unless there's something crunchy in it (chips, cucumbers, whatever).

And when I get dressed, I have GOT to put the right leg in the pants first...or the right sleeve...or shoes and socks, it's gotta GOTTA be right sock right shoe, left sock left shoe.

And typing...in all the years I've been in here, people have seen me make typos maybe a handful of times...I can't let myself do it...others are fine, but I can't do it...I've erased posts due to one letter out of place.

My gramma did that too Jess...I'd love watching her work on something, usually her knitting or whatever she was sewing...pretty soon, that tongue would pop out, and we'd all know whatever she was making would be great!

I have mild obsessive compulsive disorder. I need to touch door handles in a certain way. It doesn't get in the way of my life but it's there.

I always have to check the stove several times before I go anywhere...and the door because I can't remember if I locked it. It's a pain in the ass because sometimes I'm already loaded in the van then have to go check them again.
