Which species would you give 1 million dollars to, to save??  I agree, many species need our help, but if you had the oppertunity to help save one, which one are you the closest to??

Very difficult to pick only one! I think maybe the mountain gorillas. They are so innocent and sooo few of them now.

Do I have to pay the million dollars directly to the animal or is there a middleman who invests the cash to further the species? I have this awful mental image of Pere David's Deer slowly chomping there way through a large bag of dollar bills.

Right now I'd give it to the endangered Kansas Grizzerbear.

its a toss up between
polar bears (or all predators)
and the great whales

both losses would have
irreversable affects on the food
chain

Any species extinction, brings human kind closer to extinction--even a bug, or a bee.

It would be a toss up for me between the whales or the great apes.  Saving the apes would mean helping the earth more in order to give them habitat.  I think the earth is going by the wayside a lot faster than the ocean.

I'd say the apes, but one million dollars - only a small dent in the problem - a very small dent.
