Ive decided, that im going for daily walks. Its so easy for me to just sit here, when im not working, and veg on this thing! lol
Yesterday, the dane played hookie, and we took 5 of the dogs out for a hike at Tumalo Res. We had a great time, dogs loved it, my back hurt alot, but I figure, it hurts sitting, and so it might as well hurt walking! At least this way, I feel like im strengthening the muscles in my back, and it cant hurt. I hope. lol
Anyway, great walk. Did about two miles, and had a good time. I love walking in the desert anyway, and with the dogs, it was a bit of heaven for me.
Today, im walking in the BLM, and snow's here w baby dane, so, they'll go with me.
Hopefully, I can get over to annas soon, and walk w her a couple of days a week.
mw

I'm so happy that so many are joining in.  I feel like I have company. lol
Walking helps my back a lot!  My Mom worked with a guy with a really bad back and his specialist type doctor told him it was one of the best things to strengthen those back muscles and help support the weak spot.
I just called Mom and she's not home.  I'm sure she figured we would get rained on and ran away today. lol  I'll see if the neighbor is feeling lucky. lol  I'm eating a mini chef salad and out the door with the dogs.
Enjoy your walk everyone!
Oh PJ, there's NO way I could go walking after work...my feet need about eight hours of down time before they can face that. lol

We had a kickass walk. Talked a lot, planned  a lot, schemed on eachother about whose getting fatter lmao, and talked a lot about our next step in our most recent situation. It was nice, cool and breezy so it made for a good walk cause I could almost feel my lungs clearing up. Later on, I headed to Doula class and it's almost as though I got my 2nd wind because of the walk earlier. I used the birthing ball today against the way and behind my  back and put pressure on it. BOY DID THAT SHIT FEEL GOOD!! Now why I didn't use a birthing ball is beyond me, but shame on me!

I'd like a handcycle...or bigger wheels in the front of my manual chair so I could do the around the block thang.

MW...check Frecycle for a treadmill. Often there's people giving away exercise equipment there.

We're off and walking after a hr. after we grub down on a lil' bit of pizza. It's another cool and dark outside, but it makes for good walking weather in my mind. I like it like this much rather than all hot and sunny. I don't like sweat and sweat don't like me. HA!

Just came home and it was a good walk.. a little bit silent tonite though between him and I, but no turbulence between us... just a quiet time for the both of us. Sometimes silence is neccessary. Anyhow, Jackie, my other bestest bud, just phoned us to tell us one of our bar buds is having a bday thing there instead of Sat and if wanted to come down. I told her nah, not tonite because of the finances, but of course, she insisted and was grateful for a few times in the past I've helped her out w/money and she said the few drinks we'll have are on her. I thought about it again and said, sure we'd go. So I'm off to clean up and then heading out. I will be home early though and will make sure to stop in later. Adios for now.

Yes! and I run up and down the stairs! lol today, I was running down the stairs, and Diamond, damn near sent me spralling! She decided that I was doing something fun, and she wanted to do it with me! Cept, she almost outweighs me, and she knocked my legs out from under me, smiling all the way! lol

Glad you got your walk in anna, and I like that your mom is going w you!

When you get that treadmill up & running...  think of it as only a slightly tamer version of that mechanical bull.

lmao @ Star
Yesterday's walk was brutal. lol  I had been working with the horses for about four hours and the last thing I wanted to do was walk...but I did. Today is a potentially rough work day scooping in Bend.  I'm already trying to talk myself out of walking...but I'll walk anyway I know...that guilt thing lives in me. lol

*sigh* Sorry to say we're going to skip our evening walk today because for the first time in four yrs., Fredo has come down w/the flu bug. Remember I told you he got the flu shot 2.5 wks. ago before he was bounced of the company? I told him he'd catch it, but the company's health dept. told all the guys working there, they wouldn't because it's super new! Yeah right! And they also told him he'd have a job there until at least 2020 because they just renewed their contract w/Catepillar. Bunch of bullshitters!
