It almost is too perfect, isn't it? Wouldn't it be a great picture if there was some kind of bug on it? Now that would make a better picture! I love the colors, though. Thanks, Starry! |

Mmmm can almost smell the rose ... I love all roses but there is something very special about the deep, dark and velvety red ones. A lovely shot Penylane.

This particular rose...is one that has that beautiful, beautiful smell. You could put your nose in it...and never want to come out! |

I could be wrong but is it a crimson glory? I have a lovely photo of an old fashioned pink rose I took a couple of years ago on a very, very, hot day. It was in the garden of a vineyard in Napa. CA. These roses perfumed the air .... I must see if I can find it and show it to you. |

Elizabeth, I really have no idea what these roses are called. They almost look like a purple-red. I've been in my house ten years, and the previous owners were here 40 years. I'll bet those bushes must be 20 years old or more... |

~its almost that time of year again ... Great pic... The pic does almost cause you to smell the rose. Or wish for one to smell would be more like it. |
