This picture was taken in February, when the Pguy and I were enjoying a drive by the river.  I said "Let's go downtown!"  We ended up at an old Civil War park, where canons still sit high on the bluff, aimed at the Mississippi River.  Jefferson Davis Park...
 
Sometimes you can see a horse-drawn carriage in the park, with the driver and his dog sitting up front, and usually a couple in the back.  The views there are striking, with the Old Man River to the West, and to the East, old historical downtown.
 
The building is the Morgan-Keegan building.  I thought it looked striking, viewed through the leafless branches of the old tree standing proudly in the park.

Striking is the right word!   Yes.   When I look at this I thiink of the 1,000's of lives that tree has touched in some way and also harbored and housed...
