Vegan Cheesy Macaroni Casserole Recipe 1/2 cup nutritional yeast flakes 1/3 cup unbleached all-purpose flour 1 cup vegetable broth Up to 1.5 C of water 1.5 T of tamari or soy sauce 1/2 t of garlic powder 1/4 t paprika 1/4 t dried basil 1/4 t dried oregano 1 4oz can tomato sauce 2 cups elbow macaroni, cooked
Preheat oven to 350°F.
Combine the yeast and the flour in a medium saucepan. Place over low heat, stirring until lightly toasted. Slowly add the broth to make a thick batter. Add water 1/4 C at a time until mixture is smooth, slightly thick. Add the other stuff, except macaroni and stir. Place the macaroni in a casserole dish and stir in the sauce. Bake for 30 minutes.
