Ahoy all Some news from the pirate bash for our mateys that haven't made it yet or will be unable to attend. Last night the pirate lass Leanna had a special purple parrot that a lucky mate won. She told us of the treasure and that there would be another 11 purple parrots to be given out over the weekend. I hope I won't have to push fellow pirates off the gang plank to obtain me own purple parrot. Our host the southern pirates put on a heck of a greeting last night for our scurvy lot. Lots of food and drink along with the great company of fellow mateys. Today a lot of us will venture forth either to the space center or universal meeting up this evening at the pirate adventure. Hopefully there will not be blood spilled today as we move about.... More later from the pirate's lair! Joy |

Ahoy Mateys Back from the pirates adventure dinner. Can't believe no one else is posting on the board. I tried to pull a fast one with telling everyone I got a purple parrot by posting on the board. They were out for blood so I had to tell everyone I was only kidding. The dinner theatre was fabulous, they had an acrobat and did some fancy tumbling on a trampoline. We also had a full 2 hour dinner show with lots of action and singing. Universal Studios was a blast today. Perfect weather and the vip tour was great. A must do when in Orlando. Tomorrow I register and go for more booty. Stay tuned for more convention information as the week progresses. Joy |

Ahoy Mateys This morning I register and pick up my event pieces. I'm still on a quest for the elusive purple parrot. It's suppose to be another spectacular day here in Orlando. I shall keep posting convention news so anyone that couldn't come will get a gist of what fun this is. I haven't seen much blood split yet but lots of drinking and being merry is going on. Ahoy Tonight was very exciting with the dollar raffle. I won twice and got Sitting Pretty, Fishy business & dangers darlings. We had lots of fun and good eats. I'm still excited about winning in the dollar raffle. Joy |

Arrghh Me Mateys I was busy this morning painting my own Great Escape. I brought in my own paints and had to watch the other scally wags didn't run off with me colors. I painted me three parrots in purple, teal & green. I still haven't captured the elusive purple parrot yet, he's a mighty slick bird. Perhaps, tonight I will capture the beast. Joy |

Ahoy Jeannie & other scally wags I was thinking about kidnapping Peter and asking a ramson of a purple parrot for his release. Arrrggghhhhhh.... he's an elusive pirate always having his crew around to protect him. I hear there will be a death at dinner and we will have to solve the crime. Perhaps we can snag that parrots case out of Queen Leanna's claws wyst she's distracted. Arrgghhhh... it's a thought. Joy |

Ahoy All I didn't get any thing in the raffle of a lifetime but since I won twice on Friday the dollar raffle I'm not too disappointed. I didn't hear who won the Paint Your Own contest. The 2009 convention is going to be in Newport, Rhode Island the weekend after Columbus Day. I won't be flying home until monday. I didn't snag one of the purple parrots but I did see one. They are certainly very pretty. It was a wonderful time had by all. A lot of the pirates have headed home and some are going to continue their travels further. It was wonderful seeing everyone and until next October... Joy |

THANKS VERY MUCH, ROBERTA, I DID COME HOME AFTER 2 WEEKS
IN THE HOSPITAL. I AM STILL WEAK, BUT GETTING BETTER EVERY DAY. WE
WERE SURE DISAPPOINTED IN NOT BEING ABLE TO GO TO THE CONVENTION. I
GUESS WE WILL HAVE TO JUST MAKE THE NEXT ONE.
