//~ A Transcending Immortality Presentation...

//~ The Creator Decides How This Ends. —}

THE SEIFEARIAN EMPIRE

There is always two sides to every story, and it should be told when the sole creator deems it time. There is also a thing called originality and something called fantasy. Those who cannot compete, try to re-create history in someone else's fantasy. Rather than forging a new story they try to leech off of the success of one in a dying hope that they will come out the winner.

All byters shall burn?All byters shall burn?All byters shall burn.

It is not a matter of one upsmanship, for it’s not as if it was something that was taking place back and forth between them in said fantasy. No there was no equally created alternate universe both were in trying to make sure to they won. It was based from one man’s creation, one man’s characters and one man’s idea. That would one day be continued when he wanted to. Yet instead someone came in and attempted to make it his own because he didn’t have the creativity to come up with his own.

Get lost. Get fucked, and die. You fucking scum. The story isn’t over?please, this is MY story, do you really think it’s over? Do you really think that a year from now when Seifer feels like making another installment he’s not going to be able to because one of his opponents claimed it was the end?

Kill that noise. You gained points for doing decent in the series, but due to the fact that it wasn’t your idea, you lose far more than you will ever gain. It is over for Dante Cross.

The question is?is it truly over for Seifelios?

The following takes place sometime after the great explosion?when The Emperor came ashore.

The crowds on the beaches were packed with Roman citizens. Awaiting the new Emperor of Rome. Rumors had come from what had happened as few had made it out alive to tell of the news. Many people didn’t know what to say or do when they heard of it. So many lives had been lost due to the actions of Seifelios and yet those who truly loved Rome knew that her ultimate glory was to be world domination.

Some people thought differently. Some people had gone weak in the heart and no longer wanted true glory for Rome. They wanted to become passive. They wanted to take over and it failed. Yet a resurrection happened as The Cross arose from the ashes. The traitor to Rome arose and challenged The Emperor. Originally everyone thought they had both died in battle, something that would have thrown Rome into chaos with no Emperor and a suitable replacement would have had to have been found.

Then the news came. That one of them had survived, that one of them had one. It leaked that Rome had a new Emperor.

A young boy no older than ten years old is running up towards the man who had just stepped off the boat. He had broken away from his mother’s hold and is excited as he yells.

// Young Boy  -}: EMPEROR! You’re alive!

Another man, much older and has probably been in a couple of wars yells out to this proclamation.

// Man -}: ALL HAIL EMPEROR DANTESERIUS!!

That is when our Emperor holds up his hand, still with the hood covering his face.

// Emperor }: That is Emperor Cross.

The people nod their heads, realizing that he had changed.

// Emperor -}: For Danteserius was burnt at the stake upon his betrayal. Out from those ashes rose The Cross. He went on with vengeance in his heart to take over The Seifearian Empire and rename it Roman again. He found the Emperor and together they battled. It was sought we had both died?but only the strongest survived the blast. Only the strongest survived the fight.

// Man -}: You are the immortal one!

Finally our Emperor lifts his hood and takes it off as the crowd gasps - the rumors had been wrong.

// Emperor Seifelios -}: Indeed I am, indeed I am.

A victorious smile plays on Seifelios?face as he walks up the beach and threw the people. They weren’t sure what to make of it. They thought The Cross had won, but apparently that wasn’t the case. Some of them were afraid that they would be slain for hailing The Cross as the new Emperor. Finally Seifelios stands at the top of the beach, and sees that behind him the city was standing, with many watching on to see the Emperor arriving. He finds a couple of crates and stands on them as he looks out unto the masses.

// Emperor Seifelios -}: People of Rome. Great and many things have happened the past few years in our Empire. From war to glory to casualties to distrust to betrayal to sacrifices to rebirths to a one on one battle for the throne. I know many of you are weary of me and thought that we had a new Emperor. For that I cannot blame you. News came out that The Cross had won the battle because he assumed when he struck me down that I was dead. He didn’t believe, he couldn’t grasp that I had indeed become immortalized with the gods. If he can rise from his ashes, how can I not achieve such immortality?

A sinister look is on his face now. He removes his robe and attached to his belt is a small box. He removes it and opens the box, pulling out something that cause many to open their eyes wide in horror while some even cheer. It was the head of The Cross.

// Emperor Seifelios -}: All Enemies of Rome shall burn?all byters of Seifelios shall have their head cut off. I dare him to resurrect now for I shall strike him down AGAIN. Romans we came very close from having tragedy strike. We came very close from having another Emperor like Noxima the Weak who didn’t have what it takes to go into battle anymore. Danteserius didn’t have it anymore, he was only jealous of my power and attempted to turn me into a monster who was filled with nothing but greed and a quest for glory. I’ll admit, I have made some mistakes when I thought I was doing what was best for Rome. But I need not remind you that I am Rome’s Greatest General and I will continue to do my job to become Rome’s greatest Emperor.

He looks out, the people were not rejoicing or calling his name. He sighs, but holds his head up.

// Emperor Seifelios -}: I realize that I have much work to do to restore your faith in me. But I assure you, I shall. I used to think that the only way for Rome to truly be glorious is to take over all the world. But that?makes us weak. No. From now on there will be no more wars unless someone attacks us. Instead we will use resources to strengthen us from within?so that we will not be ripe for attack. Doing so will enable us not to have to worry about attack and therefore, no war. Men can go home to their wives, children can learn from their fathers and Rome will be restored to a time of peace?yet always ready for whatever comes her way.

To this, The Romans rejoice. They had their city back, they had their Emperor back?and all was well once again.

* * *

What had become a peaceful time in Rome with Emperor Seifelios still in charge, had turned out differently. Rome went through a glorious rebuilding phase with no war whatsoever. Yet, vengeance of a broken man would not be stopped as Danteserius once again came into Rome to challenge Seifelios. He knew that it would happen, that the head he held was so burnt you couldn’t even tell who’s it was. It was what needed to be done for the people to believe he was gone. For he was, only he just kept coming back.

They fought and this time it was Seifelios who fell.

Yet didn’t he achieve his immortality?

In a council sort of setting sit’s The God of War, Mars.

// Mars -}: What do you want, Seifelios.

// Seifelios -}: You know exactly what I want.

// Mars -}: You were defeated.

// Seifelios -}: One time Mars, one time. I was defeated by a man who wanted nothing more than to take me down. By a man who was blinded by his quest for my head that he didn’t realize that I had turned Rome around, that I brought a glorious time unto Rome. Who will lead them now? The Seifearian Empire isn’t meant to end like this!

// Mars -}: You did win in battle your immortality and have proven on more than one occasion to be good for Rome. Therefore I shall grant you your body back. Taking back Rome over is up to you however.

// Seifelios -}: Thank you Mars.

With that, Seifelios is gone. When he awakens, he finds himself sitting up by a fountain in the middle of the city of Rome. About three young children are all around him as he looks at them, completely soaked.

// Kid -}: Are you okay mister?

// Seifelios -}: Huh?

// Kid 2 -}: You were looking for something in the fountain. We didn’t even see you enter it.

/ Seifelios -}: Oh?yeah?I was looking for something.

// Kid 3 -}: Did you find it?

Seifelios shakes his head and turns to the kids, a smile on his face.

// Seifelios -}: Yeah?I think I did.

He rises from the fountain and steps out, drenching out his clothes as he feels his neck?it felt different, stronger. Shaking his head and watches as the kids run off and continue to play as Seifelios looks up ahead of him. It was one of the fountains right outside of the Emperor’s Palace.

// Seifelios -}: So I guess it wasn’t a dream.

He heads up the stairs and without hesitation walks directly towards the Council Chambers. Of course, he is stopped.

// Guard -}: State your business.

// Seifelios -}: I’ve come to take back my throne. I hear they haven’t decided on a new Emperor yet.

The second guard immediately recognizes Seifelios.

// Old Guard -}: You’re?you’re alive!

// Seifelios -}: It would seem as if immortality has worked on my side.

// Old Guard -}: Let him in, let him in! This is Emperor Seifelios!!

// Seifelios -}: How are you old friend?

// Old Guard -}: I am doing excellent. So is Rome actually. Though news has spread about your death, I think after the shock value wore off people realized it wasn’t what they wanted. It’s a good thing Danteserius didn’t try to become Emperor for Rome had been peaceful since the last battle. So are you going to take over and find him and kill him?

// Seifelios -}: Things change Leoneaus {Pronounced Lee-On-Us}, they always change.

He winks at his friend and walks through, entering into the council as the older men look up to him in a bit of shock. He holds up his hands.

// Seifelios -}: I have come council to reclaim my throne. To reclaim what I never truly lost. I never broke my word when I stood before Rome on its beaches and proclaimed there would be peace. We have had it.

// Councilman Dantold -}: You proclaimed to have killed The Cross, but you hadn’t for he came back.

// Seifelios -}: Yes, I had. But I also needed to do it to disprove the rumors that I had died in battle. To let people know that I truly was victorious. He did come back, and he did extract a measure of revenge, but here I am. Standing, living, and breathing the same air as all of you. Ready to take Rome back and continue on with its glorious days. A free Rome is what I want and what I have already brought.

The council murmurs to themselves, realizing that the man spoke the truth.

// Councilman Sparrow -}: It is true, council. The candidates we have sought for the job do not have the skills that Seifelios has and he has proven that he wants what is best for Rome now.

// Seifelios -}: I always have. It’s just that I had let power consume me, but as I proven before, I want what is best for Rome and right now, that is peace.

// Councilman Brooks -}: In which case the council will meet and discuss if you shall become Emperor of Rome, once more.

Seifelios bows in respect and leaves the premises.

* * *

Days later word had spread around the Empire that Seifelios was once again Emperor. He made a speech but it was kept shorter than most. Kept to the point that Rome would remain peaceful just like he said it would and that no more will it deal with acts of betrayal and secrecy. The people of Rome rejoiced in that The Sefearian Empire had finally been restored.

The Emperor sits now, getting ready in his chambers and speaking to his friend Leoneaus.

// Leoneaus -}: So you’re just going to go over there? He has come at you on three occasions, what makes you think he won’t do so again? And you’re not going to bring an army?

// Emperor Seifelios -}: He only came at me because he believed that I was evil. Yet during that time it was he who was unwilling to be ruthless when he had to be. I realize he has come at me but I do not need to bring anyone with me. It will not come to that. Trust me friend, he may hate the fact that once again I am Emperor of Rome, but that is something I will deal with then. I must go now.

Emperor Seifelios finishes getting ready and heads out of his chambers, making the trip down to the stables where he gets on a horse and flies out across the fields, away from Rome and towards a small village. After a few hours rest he finally arrives, stopping his horse as he looks at the small town.

// Emperor Seifelios -}: The Town of Byterville.

He gets off the horse and enters into the town. Asking questions to the locals amongst the way as they direct him into the direction of where Danteserius lived. Seeing as he was dressed casually and hardly looked like an emperor, no red flags were alerted. No one expected there to be a battle. He approaches a house and sees a woman leaving with a smile on her face as he whispers to himself.

// Emperor Seifelios -}: Nikidemus.

He smiles, glad to see her again but turns his head so she doesn’t notice him. It works. She walks on by and into the main part of town as Seifelios approaches the house. Rather than walking in the front door he walks to the side, entering the backyard where he sees Danteserius inside through the window putting his child to sleep. Danteserius steps out and when he does he’s met with a blade to his throat.

// Emperor Seifelios -}: Short time no see, Danteserius.

Quickly before Danteserius can react Seifelios takes the blade away from his neck and conceals it back underneath his clothes.

// Danteserius -}: I knew you wouldn’t, even if you did I’d come back.

// Emperor Seifelios -}: Sounds like someone is trying to byte my style, but that’s fine Danteserius, I didn’t come here to duel with you again.

// Danteserius -}: Even though I’ve chosen a life of peace now, you know I’d win.

// Emperor Seifelios -}: Not likely. Everyone gets lucky once.

// Danteserius -}: What do you want?

// Emperor Seifelios -}: To drop by and see an old friend. I didn’t bring an army, I didn’t bring any weapons bar the blade. You tried to cut me down and yet here I still stand tall. Emperor of Rome. The leader of The Seifearian Empire. You cannot kill me, Danteserius, but I won’t try to wage war against you anymore. This would have been far more but I’ve no time for such men who try and take what I have and mold it into their own, as if it was they who came up with it.

Danteserius walks around and takes a seat at a table and shrugs.

// Emperor Seifelios -}: Your wanting to destroy me didn’t work for Rome had entered into a time of peace prior to our last battle. Those who wanted war just told you what you wanted to hear, that it was chaotic, but they were lies, as you clearly have seen. Otherwise I wouldn’t be Emperor of Rome again. I came here my friend to tell you that it’s over between us. While I am disgusted by your actions, I have no desire to strike you down. Things change Danterserius, things always change.

// Danteserius -}: So that’s it? You expect me to believe that’s it?

// Emperor Seifelios -}: Sometimes it really is that simple. Have a good life old friend.

Without another word Seifelios turns from Danterserius, hesitating as if expecting some kind of attack and then smiles a genuine smile knowing that it was over. He walks out of the backyard and back through the town. Passing by Nikidemus who seems to recognize him but wasn’t sure if it was really him since it would be surreal for him to just waltz into here. Before she can say anything he is gone, back on his horse, and riding back to Rome. Glorious days await Rome once more.

Long Live The Emperor.

Long Live The Sefearian Empire.

Long Live Rome.
