“DIPSET!!?/FONT>
A completely random outburst from Seifer as he stares into the tunnel. He shrugs his shoulders, it was feeling a bit too gloomy down in this place and he wanted to lighten the mood a little. Unfortunately nothing happened after his voice had finished echoing around and so he continues on.
“This doesn’t seem so bad, what’s the worst that could happen??/FONT>
You never?ever ask that question. Yet nothing does happen as he walks and then off to the right he sees a glimmer of light but that’s quickly shut off as soon as he sees the body. The body of Georgia James. He shakes his head, opening up his eyes again to see her still lying there, blood all around her.
“Dammit all. I must have been down here a while if she came looking for me.?/FONT>
He runs towards her and nearly stops in his tracks as he sees Deus. He holds an ax in his hand and he brings it down onto the neck of a gasping Georgia. She reaches out for Seifer and he dives to her just in time?to catch her severed head. He looks up, fury in his eyes as Deus flashes a sinister looking smile and laughs manically before disappearing. Seifer looks down?and sees nothing. No Georgia, no Deus.
“An illusion, I should have known.?/FONT>
He stands up, a little bit embarrassed by the fact that he felt for the trick.
“That’ll be the last mistake.?/FONT>
Seifer continues his journey, coming to another beckon of light. Only this one feels a lot real as it’s similar to the beginning ?a dark red gloom. He enters the end of this tunnel and finds a much different setting. At the beginning are still the cliffs but below is a river, a river of blackened blood. Bones and waste float in it and the smell is of burnt flesh. Up in the sky it looks as if a storm were brewing, but it’s merely a red sky with black clouds swirling around constantly.
He makes his way down the cliff via climbing the rocks and steps onto the ground, finding himself now having to cross the river to get to the other side or go back the way he came. With a disgusted look on his face he enters the river of blood and begins to cross it, however as he goes it becomes deeper and deeper. Eventually he is forced to swim across; as Seifer gets about halfway through he feels something like an arm brushing on him. He swats it away and swims faster?but then feels a foot?and then a hand?a leg?and finally he has a head bobbing up and coming right in front of his face. Seifer naturally looks around frantically, noticing that the river is filled with corpses as well. Bloodied and white, as if their bodies had been emptied of blood into the river and their souls drained from their bodies before being tossed into the river.
Seifer tries to continue but one of the hands tightens their grip on his ankle. He feels the force of it and finds himself being pulled into the river, his head suddenly becoming submerged as he goes under. A struggle ensues and after a minute or so Seifer breaks the surface of the water and takes a loud gasp of air and then coughing as he does so. The darkness entering into his lungs. Seifer powers out and through the bodies as he swims fast, pushing aside as many bodies as he has to before he comes to the shore.
“Finall?AHHH!?/FONT>
He jumps off of the shore banks and dives up onto land; the ‘sand?was burning his flesh. The molten hardened rock was rough as he looks at his stomach and notices the scattered pieces of burnt flesh. He puts his hand around the wound and cringes his teeth before standing up, his entire body red with blood.
“It’ll take more than rivers and illusion to push me past an edge I’ve jumped off before.?/FONT>
Seifer next makes his way alongside the river as it was the only way to go. Up in the distance all he saw was the river on the left side, high rocky cliffs on the right and the great plains down the middle. However as luck would have it, it isn’t a peaceful walk ?and he isn’t alone. He sees people, all around him. Left and right, as if he were walking through homeless row in New York City. Only they’re not sleeping or begging, they’re crying out in despair for the pain to end. Seifer ignores them, knowing there’s nothing he can do. Instead he pushes on. As he gets further the screams become louder until it’s all that fill his head ?his thoughts?he can’t even hear them.
Seifer starts to take off jogging, trying to get out of here as quickly as he can manage, he now finds himself running. Faster and faster. Louder and louder the screams become until he reaches the end of the plains?a cliff. Overlooking another valley, with another river. However it’s such a jump that if this were Earth, anyone would surely perish from the fall.
“This?this is not the way damnit. I don’t need to go further into the depths of Hell.?/FONT>
He breaths slowly, trying to get out his frustration in a calm manner rather than helling in anger, which is exactly what was wanted.
“Deus?if I get out of here, you shall suffer as I am. You will find yourself in the wrong place, at the wrong time.?/FONT>
He tightens his fist, but not in thought of what he’ll do to Deus, but rather, who he sees.
“Minos.?/FONT>
The monster of a man, a former King sits upon his throne judging the dead. Seifer takes the plunge, jumping down onto the plain below and landing with a thud. But Seifer isn’t harmed by the fall. He’s slow to get up but he does and he walks forth, with a vengeance going straight towards Minos. However before he can get there a voice yells out.
“HALT! Who dares step forth??/FONT>
Seifer spins around and comes face to face with Rhadamanthus. He knew a little of Greek mythology and recognized his mug. Seifer responds in an insulting manner.
“No wonder you’re damned to eternity with a terrorist name like that.?/FONT>
“You fool!?/FONT>
He charges at Seifer with a sword in hand, not allowing this intruder to have another word against him. But Seifer was too quick and sidesteps Rhad as he brings a knee to his gut and overpowers his arm, knocking the sword out of his hand. A snarl comes from the wise king as he attempts to call upon something, but Seifer has already jumped forward and kicked him with a front kick, stunning him long enough to grab the sword and drive it into the stomach of Rhadamanthus. He pulls it out as he falls.
“Looks like your wisdom has dried up, old man.?/FONT>
Now Seifer continues on, coming closer and closer to Minos. He has more confidence with a weapon and most importantly can feel Minos?energy growing. He knew what had happened and knew he wouldn’t be pleased with the ‘death?of his brother. As Seifer comes across the towered throne Minos was on he sees Aeacus walking towards him. Smirking Seifer holds his sword ready for battle.
“Aeacus. A heritage tracing to Alexander.?/FONT>
“You have been lucky thus far, but it ends here Seifer.?/FONT>
“Hah, perhaps you haven’t truly seen what Seifer the Great can do.?/FONT>
“Try me.?/FONT>
They clash. At the last moment Aeacus had drawn his sword and the two begin their battle. This one lasts longer as Aeacus seemed to possess more power than the wise king. Seifer takes a shot to the arm, nearly severing it but he’s able to battle through the pain, cutting the chest of his foe. Both of them take a moment to regain their composure before diving into battle once more. Aeacus attempts to throw a dagger in Seifer’s direction to catch him off guard but Seifer senses it coming and ducks down to the ground, swinging out his sword and cutting Aeacus across the legs, causing his body to drop down about a foot. The attack takes him by surprise as Seifer begins his sword forward and shoves it into the upper chest of Aeacus and pushes down, watching his already lifeless eyes become void’s of nothingness as he pulls it out and is struck upon the head with a foot, Seifer tumbles to the ground.
“ENOUGH!?/FONT>
Seifer with lightning fast moves is already turned around with sword in hand, leaning close to the ground however as he eyes up his next victim?Minos.
“What’s wrong Minos? Not wanting to suffer the same fate??/FONT>
“Fate? HAH! This is the underworld; you could only wish your fate was to escape.?/FONT>
“Wish? HAH! I am Seifer; I need not wish for the things I make happen. You shall fall, and in turn I shall make my escape.?He says as he stands up.
Minos ponders this for a moment, before grinning.
“I will offer you a deal.?/FONT>
“Not interested.?/FONT>
“Oh no this isn’t for a victory of any means later; it’s a ticket out of here.?/FONT>
“Keep talking.?/FONT>
“The souls I damn down here have thoughts of lust and greed, so too shall be my offer. I let you escape and in turn, your woman, becomes mine.?/FONT>
Seifer can’t help but burst into laughter, despite how severely scary the situation is.
“You?you’re kidding, right??He falls down to one knee, almost unable to contain his laughter. This of course angers Minos.
“YOU DARE MOCK ME?!?/FONT>
Minos zooms forward and strikes Seifer?but he has held up his blade to block him, cutting through the arm of Minos and as they both turn, Seifer has both the sword and the arm of Minos.
“Need a hand??/FONT>
He tosses Minos his severed arm that Minos, infuriated catches but when he does Seifer brings his blade forward and slices through the head of Minos, splitting his skull in two halfway down. The second he does, his sword is gone. He’s no longer standing on the lower plains.
The Eternal Flames Consumes You
Seifer opens his eyes and holds up his hands, expecting another attack. Instead he finds himself burning up as he looks around, flames are engulfing his body?burning him, but not killing him. His eyes light up wide as he tries to peer through the flames that are slowly going from bright orange to a deeper orange to a red to a deeper red until they’re finally black flames that continue to burn him until they are gone. Seifer is dropped and blacks out.
He awakens what feels like immediately after he was dropped and feels his face freezing on the cold stone ground. His body rather than burning is wet, cold, and smells worse than anything he has smelt before ?which is saying something. He looks up as the rain continues to fall on him. Rain that smelt worse than if all the sewers in the world was to pour upon him.
“Ugh.?/FONT>
Seifer stands up, his head throbbing. He looks at his skin which was no longer covered in blood but instead was being drenched in a repulsive gray as the dirty rain fell upon it.
“It’s?quiet.?/FONT>
Oh it's coming. He looks around surveying the gloomy land. The skies were no longer red, but dark gray. The entire place looked like a battlefield with only the dead corpses left to rot, and rotting they were.
“A little too quiet.?/FONT>
Told ya so. Seifer begins to wander through, wondering just what lies ahead of him next. Though, he had a pretty good idea.
“What else have you got for me?!?/FONT>
His question doesn’t linger very long before he finds out?via a roaring as the ground rumbles. He looks up beyond a corner marked out by rocks and finds his next foe. Six blood red eyes stare down on him, piecing through his very soul and sends chills down even our fearless Sempiternal Warrior.
“The hellhound.?/FONT>
A roar comes from the monstrous three headed dog as Cerberus begins to run forward. Seifer looks down at the fetid earth, wondering if it would work again. He shakes his head, realizing that Cerberus must have learned from past mistakes.
“If war is what you want Cerberus, then we shall war.?/FONT>
Seifer has no weapon except for his own body. He could run?but that would be the coward’s way. Instead he charges forward, unsure of how he’s going to be successful when they clash with one another but not caring at the moment. He knew that if he could somehow get to the throat of one of the necks and piece through?or if he could climb the beast and take out one of the eyes before the serpent tail strikes him?they near collision?fifty feet?forty feet?thirty feet?/FONT>
Seifer screams out “NOBISCUM DEUS!!?/FONT>
Twenty feet?ten feet?five feet?/FONT>
*FLASH*
Seifer gasps and lifts his head, breathing in air as if he hadn’t had any for days. Light floods onto his face. He looks up at the overcast sky, but still it was insanely bright for him. He looks over to his left where Georgia was holding his head as he sits up and sits confused. He was at the edge of her house, sitting in the back yard covered in dirt.
“You’re alive!?/FONT>
He feels very confused. “What?happened.?/FONT>
“That’s what I’d like to know Seif! You went for that walk a couple days ago. I know you like time to yourself but chummon, show your girl some more love and let me know what’s up!?/FONT>
He doesn’t respond.
“I been worried sick and praying and suddenly I found you out here. And my God what is that horrible smell?! You look like you’ve been through hell.?/FONT>
Seifer looks at his body. He was a dirty, filthy mess and he did indeed stink extremely bad.
“Tell me about it.?He says as he stands up, shaking his head. “I think I’m going to go take a long shower in some bleach.?/FONT>
“Yes, go take a shower, the smell is driving me insane. But don’t make it long because your match is tonight.?/FONT>
“Tonight? I was gone that long??/FONT>
She doesn’t answer, instead gives him a ‘you’re acting weird?look before heading inside. Seifer shakes his head and speaks to himself.
“So it wasn’t a dream??/FONT>
He begins to walk towards the house until he feels something against his leg. He reaches into his pocket and pulls out?/FONT>
The key.
He stifles a laugh and holds it in his palm.
“It’s time.?/FONT>
He takes one look back at where he had been found and shakes his head, remembering how close he was to clashing with the beast. He feels an odd sensation. A feeling of gratefulness?and one of disappointment. Seifer shakes his head and realized he had to get cleaned up and then tell his story. The story of how he had escaped from Hell.
Then he notices something out of the corner of his eye?a video camera. Already set up, as if it were a sign. “You’ve got to be kidding.?/FONT> He chuckles, he shouldn’t be surprised he’d set it up earlier on, he always liked to have easy access incase he wanted to shoot a promo at random times.
“Don’t mind my appearance, and thank God you can’t smell through the camera because most everyone would have passed out by now. I’m still curious as to why I haven’t. Dues I’ll be brief for the time being as I need to shower in the worst way and my mind?well it’s not exactly completely focused at the moment. Where’ve I been? Well, if I told people they wouldn’t believe me anyways, but I’ll get into that later. This match one can say has been a long time coming. Yes, while we don’t really any history between us, we’ve both been around for long enough to have crossed paths before?we never have. I expected that it would have happened at some point over in Grand Rapids, but alas it wasn’t to be. Now though I find you staring across the ring from me in the Main Event.?/FONT>
He smiles.
“That couldn’t excite me more. I’m sure you think you’re Mr. Know-It-All when it comes to me but there is little you really know. I claim to know nothing personally since you and I haven’t been around one another that much. What I do know?well, again, I’ll save that for later. What I do know is this. I’m going to throw you a swerve and tell you that I’m thankful for being in this spot. I know the reason we are is because Serenity was kidnapped and they couldn’t have the tournament match. Then again, Deus versus Seifer is a match capable of the Main Event of a PPV anyways. So it’s fitting it’s happening at Graveyard Games. I know you’re primarily the reason why it’s such a big match though because let’s face it?here in FWA, you’re like a god.?/FONT>
Seifer grins, walking over to the back of the wooden deck and leaning up against it, much closer to the camera now.
“Former World Champion with a history here that speaks for itself. While me? I’m known, sure, but I’ve done nothing here in FWA?yet. Soon enough I will though, and it all continues at Conflict’s Graveyard Games. We're certainly going to steal the show. See you sooner than you think.?/FONT>
Seifer winks and walks up the steps, shutting off the camera and heads to get cleaned and ready for the nights festivities.
He escaped Hell?for better or for worse?now let’s see how much he brought back with him.
