The scene opens to the sound of his voice. Following closely after the cameras spark to life, showing Seifer standing on a ladder in the middle of the FWA ring in Defiance. The arena is empty and besides the cameraman, it’s just Seifer. He’s leaning up against the frame and dressed in workout gear, plain black shorts and a dark gray Everlast cut sleeve tee.
“Since day one I stepped into the FWA I told you I was going to work my way up the proverbial ladder. That I was going to earn my shots and once again climb the ladder and conquer another mountain. However one thing I never do is just sit around and wait for the shots, wait for the opportunities to come to me. You do that too long in this business and you find yourself sitting by the wayside as nothing more than a mediocre talent. Maybe you’re better �?maybe. No one knows because you haven’t been given the chance to showcase or talent. Least, that’s the excuse one might make. Its never been an issue for me because I go out there and I make sure I can showcase my talent. I made it known very early on that I was gunning for Serenity and the Television Championship. Yet…�?/FONT>
He shakes his head.
“It seems as if she’s always got something going on. Always has other things she’s worrying about or doing. Which is more reason why I took a more firm stance in my mission. That I WAS going to get results this week, and though it’s not in the form of a title shot with her, I guess this will have to suffice. Like I said to Deus, I’ve no problem earning my stripes, it’s what I wanted to do anyways.�?/FONT>
“So Alex’s answer to that is to make me fight for the contendership against�?well to be honest a bunch of guys who here in FWA haven’t exactly earned anything. Don’t get me wrong it’s not a complaint by any means because I love competition and I’m getting that. Throw in as many names as you want, allow as many people to sign up and enter into this match because all it’s going to do is add in another pin for this expert bowler to knock down.�?/FONT>
He flashes that arrogant smirk, you know the one.
“First and foremost let’s begin with James Tsunami: the only one of my opponents who thus far has mentioned the match and most importantly, the one who deserves this opportunity alongside me the most. Now while James hasn’t exactly done that much in FWA �?nor has he been active recently, it’d be unwise of me to completely ignore the past connections with the British Wrestling Alliance that FWA has had. Especially when at one time they competed under the MSN umbrella together and have had supershows against one another as well. For me, the chance to step into the ring with James for this chance, is going to be a lot of fun. I mean after all, this is the man who was the first ever BWA Television Champ, not to mention a multiple one at that and of course the last ever BWA Heavyweight Champion.�?/FONT>
He nods his head.
“I know past accomplishments don’t mean much, but that’s just a little more for you boys to remind you just how much of a threat I am in this match, that I do my research. Then again, you all already knew that which is why at Conflict you tried to take me out. Hell, if it weren’t for�?uh�?my uh one fourth of the tag team champions Sparrow being in the area, I just might have had to wrestle a little beaten up. Then again, that would only make everyone else’s chance to win in that match rise from 0.2% all the way to 1.4%. Quite a jump, if you ask me. Luckily fans of The Madness don’t have to fret, cause I’m feeling pretty seiftastic.�?/FONT>
Seifer reaches into his pocket and throws on a pair of sunglasses. JEA! He now removes them.
“Nonetheless nothing was that serious for any of us so I’m sure we’re all going into this match ready to go. So James, it’s more than gold for you, is it?�?/FONT>
Seifer shakes his head.
“I call bullshit. If this was something completely different and about your homecoming, then surely you’d have already had a ‘homecoming�?match by now, right? Instead you wanted to make your return be for the title when you heard about the opportunity. Not only that, but you were the first to sign up. I’ll fully admit that to me this is all about the gold. I don’t blame you though, but least you can do is admit I’m right.�?/FONT>
He winks.
“Now then we’ve got Gabriel Saint. Ahh, nothing I love more than coming across a rookie, to a particular federation at least, who has taken the time to do some research.�?He pauses, “Actually I like coming across rookies who are complete and total n00bs because it’s fun to make fun of them but that’s another story. It’s guys like you Gabriel, who make other people realize that the next generation may be around sooner than we think. So while it may be a bit premature, good job. Its been a good year and a half since the Heineken movement came about but you seem to have a good knowledge of it and for that I applaud you. Hell, if you want you can even join the movement if you wanted �?but don’t let that cloud your vision into thinking I’m going to be thrown off so easily. You could have studied me for years while I have no idea who you are and in the end? It won’t make a difference. Maybe one day down the line, but not now.�?/FONT>
“Then the last person to jump in on the fun �?The Jackal. Judging by that name tells me two things Adam. Either you’re trying to rip off the NRA guy, or you’re just a big fan of Willis and Gere. Whatever the case is, makes no nevermind. So you’re a predator huh? Well from what I’ve seen it appears as if you’ve been the prey and Sparrow’s been the predator. One would think you’d have tried to do something by now but I guess you enjoy getting kicked around. Well then you’ve come to the right place because before you go for some gold you should try and settle your beefs. I mean, how do you know Sparrow’s not going to come around again and take you out of this match? Wouldn’t that just suck?�?/FONT>
He grins.
“That’s only speculation as I don’t need anyone to take out my opponents, I can do that very well on my own. Which is something that I’ve been waiting to do to Serenity for a long time. In due time�?that is, unless her supposed savior can stop me.�?/FONT>
“That’s right The Raven. The guy who suddenly came to FWA and began to do all these things to Serenity. I’d say poor girl cause I never knew her but it seems the more I watch what goes on �?or at least try to before I get a splitting headache from horrible television �?the more I just don’t care. You can make it your mission to save her from Riley, from Scarie, but you’re not going to save her from me. So try as you might Raven, speak from dark locations and attempt to come at me with philosophical thoughts and I’ll just throw it all back in your face. As I’ve told your dear Serena, it’s nothing personal, just business.
Seifer walks up the remaining rungs until he’s sitting on the top of the ladder.
“On Conflict, Seifer walks out with a challenge in hand for the top spot in the Television division - that’s all you need to know. I urge you to try to stop me boys because I'll enjoy it and when the nights over all of you will be winners. You will have gotten something special. You will have danced in the ring with Seifer and that is something to go home and talk about. As for me? Since dancing in the ring with myself would be ridiculous, I’ll settle for the shot at the title.�?/FONT>
Seifer winks as the scene seizzles out.
