| GUESS WHO’S BACK IN DA DOMAIN! You know you’re excited, you know you marked the hell out when Seifer came out last Monday Night on Hangover. You felt the surge of Seifmadness flowing through your veins and you couldn’t help but smile, excited that once again, your hero and mine, Miami’s Favorite Wrestler, multi time Heavyweight Champion, Master of the Domain, The Transcendent, The Immortal�?had finally returned. Not only did he return, but he shook up BUD in the process. For those who don’t know Seifer, that’s something you better get used to. When Seifer walks, the grounds below him metaphorically rumble! He came back and said that the rumors of a match between him and Drew Stevenson were true, but he wanted to earn it. Mandy Manson too had made her return a little before he did and wanted a chance to compete for the top strap. So he threw down the challenge, but Roxy had other plans in mind. Seifer, being the warrior and professional that he is, went along with it, he loves challenges. So while Mandy will go on to face the man she couldn’t beat one on one just a week ago without earning the title shot, Seifer will go through a series of five challengers to earn his shot. Hmm, don’t you find it a bit interesting that it’s five? Not four, or six, but five. Five can mean many a things, but you probably are thinking the wrong one. In our example for today, here is what five means. Five means Heavyweight Champions, including the current Champ. There are those who will get a bit upset Seifer is even being given this chance to jump right in and if he can win all his matches, get a shot at the Heavyweight Championship. Too bad, you should have stepped up to the plate. Now Seifer’s back and you can bet your ass it’s only a matter of time before the spotlight is back on him. After all, let’s take a run down at some of the past champs here. How many people do you know on the current roster can say they’ve beaten the current Heavyweight Champ Drew Stevenson in the past? No, no, don’t answer just yet. Make your mental list, then from those people tell me how many can say they’ve got a victory over the last champion, Bobby Johnson? Again, don’t answer. Now with that list, who of those can claim victory over the champ before that, Dante Cross? That list is getting smaller and smaller, isn’t it? How about the champ before him, NovaCaine? Alright, last one, the fifth one, Dark Child, before him it was vacant. So, as the list got narrower and narrower, what name are you left with? Who holds a victory over the past five BUD Heavyweight Champions? Hmm, if you can’t guess now, you’re mentally retarded. I don’t think Seifer has anything to prove, but for the new kids and for Roxy dearest, he’ll do just that. Five challengers? If I know Seifer, he’s looking forward to it. Behold, your Master returns to his Domain.
The scene opens up on a road. This road will only be going in one direction. Traveling down that direction you will go straight for a long while. Then you will begin to curve to the left and turn. Then you will go straight, not as long as the first time however. You will find yourself curving again to the left. Once more you’re going straight, for the same distance as the first time. A third turn, curving to the left as you again hit another short straight term. You’re nearing the end, rounding the corner of the fourth turn and now the straight away again, almost there, bam, crossed it. Now, do that for 499 more times and end being ahead of the pack and you’ve won yourself the Daytona 500.
Seifer sits in the empty stands right above the start/finish line at the Daytona International Speedway. He’s wearing a pair of jean shorts and a 50th Running of the Daytona 500 t-shirt. A grin is on his face as he peers down and around the two and a half mile long track. “Tomorrow The Great American Race begins; the Daytona 500. A race that not only has the Super Bowl aura since it’s NASCAR’s biggest race, but also oddly enough, is the first race of the Sprint Cup Series. The first race, and already the tensions are running at a fever pitch. I’ll spare you the details of American racing for those who could careless and get right down to the point. After the race I’ll be flying into Vegas and then Monday night I’ll be stepping into a BUD ring to wrestle for the first time in over a year. This isn’t going to just be any match however, it’s going to be the first match in a challenge series that’ll put me one step closer to the Heavyweight Championship should I win.�?/FONT> He grins, liking the sound of that. “However, I’m also not just facing any wrestler. No, Roxy knows what I’ve done in the past for her, she knows the level I’ve raised my game to beat others, she knows what I’ve drawn out of other people and I don’t think she wants to waste anytime in seeing some of that ‘magic�? Why throw me around with a bunch of scrubs I’ll easily wipe the floor with, wasting everyone’s time with putting off the inevitable? That being shining with some of the best BUD has to offer, not just, as you probably thought, winning the title. Flipside, why put me right in a title match even though I’ll get it eventually? She not only wants me to earn it but in doing so, millions of Seifer fans tune in each and every week. They want to see what kind of classic, show stealing matches my opponent and I will produce. It’s smart business.�?/FONT> Seifer stands up and walks over to the edge of the fence. Tomorrow, the racers would be driving by this section going about 190 miles per hour; it was going to sound awesome. VROOM, VROOM VROOM VROOM VROOM VROOM VROOM VROOM! Now speed that up by about one hundred and you’ll be good. He grins and leans up against the railing. “It starts this Monday with Jade Jiles. As I said, not just ‘any wrestler�? As quick as it starts, it can end just as fast. This, I’ve got to say, is a first. I’ve known Jade for years in a few different ways. From working with her as an employee in the same company to watching her get with Mace and the debacle that later became the rused nws and a lot in between. This isn’t about a history lesson though; it’s that never once have we found ourselves in the same ring together. I could go into a whole slew of insults, saying this, saying that. Bringing up this, bringing up that, but really, what’s the point? Seifer versus Jade is probably a match people have wanted to see for years and finally, it’s going to happen.�?/FONT> Suddenly, out of nowhere, a Shawn Michaels lookalike dressed up as Hulk Hogan in the red and yellow and jumps up from the race track, looking and pointing at the camera. “SEIFER VERSUS JADE JILES! FOR THE FIRST TIME BROTHER! THE LAST TIME BROTHER! THE ONLY TIME BROTHER! OH BROTHER BROTHER BROOOOOOOOTHHHHHHEEEEEEERRRRR!!!�?/FONT> He flexes like a mad man and then makes the mistake of turning around�?BLOOD SPILLER! Seifer levels the imposter with a super kick that would spill your blood, ah ha. “He did have a point though, you probably won’t see this again so ladies and gents, you better enjoy the show we’re going to put on. Jade, long time no see. I’ve got to say that I’m looking forward to this. Beyond this being my first match back in BUD and obviously the challenge match, it’s going to be fun to tangle it up with you. See, I’m throwing the challenge notion out the window, to me that isn’t a factor since I know that as easily as I’ve got the chance, it can go away just like that should you beat me. No, instead I’m more focused on seeing what we can do in that ring. I know, you’re probably thinking “Seifer? What the fu�?is he really throwing nice words my way?�? Yeah, I am. I’m sure you get the tired old insults all the time so I figure coming from someone who knows you a little, I’d give you the respect you deserve.�?/FONT> Seifer reaches into his pocket, pulls out his cell phone and reads something. Since he didn’t do anything, it looks like he might be re-reading something. “You know, I got a text earlier, someone saying that you may not show up. Personally I don’t know if that’s true or not as no official word has been thrown my way if you’re going to be there or not. I hope you are Jade, cause this not only could steal the show, but become an epic clash.�?/FONT> He puts the phone away. “If the rumors are true, well then I extend a challenge to say ‘screw it�?and have the match with me if you can. While I’m sure some want to see me succeed, others would probably love to see me fall. Nothing is guaranteed because if it was, I’d be facing Mandy for the #1 Contendership. So come on Jade, show me what you got, I know you’re talented when you put your mind to it. Besides, you’ve got Sparrow backing you.�?/FONT> A smile spreads across his face. “You don’t even know how long I could go on that subject, from your marriage to my history, and future�?with the Birdman. But, we’ll save that for another day. Point is Jade, you’ve actually got things on your side. I’ve got no three time Champ backing me up. You win, and bam, you could be on your way to staking claim to a title shot of your own. You lose, well, I can guarantee that we’ll put on a killer match and you’ll still get received well. So as far as the text I got? Until I get official word, I’m taking it with a grain of salt.�?/FONT> Seifer sits back down again, once more looking at the track. “The beginning of a series that will lead to a championship. For them out there, it’s going to take ten months, for me; it’s going to take five weeks. It all begins now. Seifer versus Jade Jiles. Fasten your seatbelts BUD; I’m going to take you on a seiftastic ride you won’t soon forget.�?/FONT> With that, the scene seizzles out. |
