Headway has been made. Not just for the Attitude Championship match as now Seifer has struck, but in the Pay Per View as a whole. Legends Reborn is indeed what everyone is saying - it’s freaking stacked! You’ve got a solid Main Event between two men with a lot of history, ones the current World Champ, the other a former. You’ve got a Championess title match between the long reigning champion and a former World Champ as the challenger. You’ve got a very hyped, potential to steal the show match between an up and coming superstar and a seasoned veteran. You’ve got the hottest FWA rookie going up against a man known for putting out outstanding performances when he shows up facing off in a ladder match that you know will get the crowd pumped. You’ve got a couple other matches that may be slighted by all the star power, but you best believe they’ll try and get some of that light shone on them.

Oh and of course you’ve got a dream match being handed to you on a silver platter in Superstar Joe and Seifer! I think it’s safe to say that those wrestling enthusiasts are right, this card is stacked. In fact, I dare a company to even come close to a PPV this spectacular because looking around?you aren’t going to find one any time soon.

That being said, it is up to the champions to show that they want it more than their challengers. So, our DHS spreading Attitude Champion will do just that.

New Orleans, Louisiana.  Or maybe?nbsp; Athens, Georgia.

The scene opens up in a twilight zone area somewhere between New Orleans where the original Press Bash Coverage was set to take place and Athens where the actual Conflict happened as well as the Main Event of Shockwave of Conflict dealings took place. So to make things simpler, or maybe more confusing/entertaining, we’ll just combine the two.

New Athens, Georiana.

The scene really opens.

“Man, this place is freaking awesome.?/FONT>

Seifer stands in the streets and looks around the brand spankin?new city of New Athens. It’s the middle of the day, sun is shining brightly and he’s dressed in some comfortable Birkenstocks, a white toga and some leafy stuff in his hair and a pair of silver and black Oakley’s. Seifer can’t help but notice that New Athens looks a lot like?Athens.

“The buildings?the architecture?it looks so much like this place…?/FONT>

Athens, Greece.

“This place in Greece?ATHENS! Yes, it does indeed look like a splitting image of Athens, only the buildings and pillars aren’t crumbling, it’s like they’re new or something.?/FONT>

Imagine that! Seifer is impressed with himself, nearly gives himself a pat on the back but decides to hold back, maybe when he beats Superstar Joe he’ll do that. He looks around for a place to venture into and finally finds what looks like a Gyro shop and he takes a seat at one of the stools, it’s all blue and white inside and he looks at the menu, all in Greek but then in small letters underneath it’s English. Seifer takes off his glasses and looks to the cameras.

“Good thing I’ve got 15/15 vision because that’s small text and its been about sixty-seven years since I last used Greek. I know, as much as I travel you think I would get around more but surprisingly I haven’t been able to get to Athens since then. I know, with my celebrity like status and being an athlete you’d think I’d have gone to the Olympics in 2004. And yes for the love of God I KNOW that I should have competed in them because I won a gold medal in wrestling the first time they were held there back in 1896 but DAMMIT SOMETIME THINGS COME UP!?/FONT>

An older man next to him looks over and lifts an eyebrow.

“Actually I didn’t ask any of that, but you competed in 1896? Damn, and I thought I was old. How’s that possible you young punk jokester.?/FONT>

“It’s?a long story. I was talking to that camera, and the make believe people who were asking me those questions.?/FONT>

“Sounds like you need to see a shrink. Who talks to cameras nowadays??/FONT>

“Um?athletes, celebrities, reporters, even people sitting at home on their webcams.?/FONT>

“You got me there kid.?/FONT>

“Ah, if only you knew.?/FONT>

Finally, Seifer orders his food and then plays the waiting game, sipping slowly at his fountain Pepsi that strangely tastes nothing like Pepsi.

“Man I know they use different water and sugars but I thought New Athens was in the US, this whole city has a foreign feel to it.?/FONT>

“Well it is new.?/FONT>

Seifer shrugs and spins on his stool, leaning back against the counter and looking out directly at the fountain right behind a statue of Zeus.

“You know, one of these days they’re going to make a statue of me. Only unlike Charles Barkley there won’t be one with me eating a Philly Cheesesteak, nooooo way!?/FONT>

Credit: those great T-Mobile commercials with Charles Barkley and Dwayne Wade. Seif can’t help but laugh, finally though he gets down to business.

“Welcome to the second location on my journey’s. This time, it really feels like a journey as I’m in New Athens, Georiana. If you don’t know why?well sure as hell don’t ask me. I had to improvise and include both where I was conducting the Press Coverage and where Conflict really was, you know, roll them all into one and I just stumbled across this place. What makes these places so special is that night was an eventful night. Not only did it include more details about shockwaves where at the end you got conflict, but it was the night I retired the TV title and brought back the Attitude Championship. The night that Attitude was reborn in FWA.?/FONT>

Seifer smiles, ahh a rebirth.

“Reborn?to start anew. You know, I kind of like the way that sounds. Starting anew, getting a fresh perspective in say?your career? A fresh path you need to pave as you embark on creating your legacy. Legends Reborn, what a perfect name and who really better than moi to put that into effect? Thus far while my career has been outstanding here, I’ve yet to reach, or even get a chance to reach that higher plateau. And right now, that’s fine, I’m in no hurry. I’m the Attitude champion and I plan on after this PPV, remaining that. Yet I’m facing a man who is tough, a man who is hungry and wants to beat me. I know that I’m going to have to bring it if I want to win and what better way to bring it than to start anew. Then to come at him with a flare, fire and passion that someone that has just been reborn has??/FONT>

Seifer nods his head, liking the sound of that.

“You know, it’s pretty funny to hear my opponent bickering about being used in a Corona ad. I know he’s got this clean cut image of a guy who doesn’t drink and all of that, but an ad is an ad, money is money. The fact that he was tricked into it is what makes it hilarious. How does a guy who expects to step into the ring with me and out smart me, force me into making mistakes, how is he going to fair when a company easily manipulated him into drinking their product by using some of the simplistic tricks in the book? It’s not like I don’t have plenty of plans and schemes to use to throw Joe off track. Sure Joe will sue them, but Corona knows that just six some months ago he was more or less left out on the streets, even had to live with a fellow peer for a little bit, and while FWA pays well, do they really pay more than a company like Corona??/FONT>

Seifer grins.

“Not my problem though. I gotta say I do enjoy Corona, and Joe being from Cali even if he didn’t drink you would think knows about Corona, it’s called being aware of what‘s going on around you at all times, something that helps us wrestlers. Nonetheless, it’s not time to be talking about them if I want to ever re-start my Heineken movement, speaking of, hey Izzy, maybe we ought to get together sometime and discuss that business, could be good for FWA.?/FONT>

Seifer winks, Isabella would know what he was talking about.

“Joking and playtime aside, I finally heard the words Joe had said. To be honest, I’m flattered. Even though all he is doing is laying out the facts, he didn’t have to, he can come at me and try and break me down however he wants. So thank you Joe, the feeling is mutual, it’s why earlier on I said it was going to be an honor. Now however, that’s more or less the most you’ll get out of me when it comes to ‘respect? Those who know me know I don’t really play the game guys like David Van Dam and Drew Stevenson do when it comes to blabbering on and on about respect all week. Joe mentioned loving a good war of words and he hit it right in the head, with me, there is never going to be a shortage of that. As much as there isn’t genuine heat heading into this match?there is certainly genuine desire to take my championship belt.?/FONT>

Seifer can’t help but smile at this thought.

“That alone is reason enough for me to, for at least this week, paint Superstar Joe as my enemy. I’m not as sniveling as some might think, I don’t like to keep my enemies close, I’d rather than just have them in my eye sight always on the opposite side so they know that when I come, I come strong and hard, ready to topple them over and the best part is they will know it’s coming from a mile away and yet it STILL happens. That right there, is a great feeling. Though it’s also quite the task especially when I’ve got someone like Joe across from me. It’s not as if I can just ran like a bull straight into battle and expect that I’m just going to plow right on through him. No, I have to be crafty in my run the way I dodge to show that I’m not going to be narrow minded in my strategy heading into this, I’ve got to actually use my brain when it comes go time to not only out wrestle Joe, but to out think him. He’s the kind of guy who I’m going to have to be working on all cylinders and level to beat.?/FONT>

Seifer reaches over and finishes off his Pepsi and orders another one, or at least waits to do so, the place was pretty busy.

“Are you getting the picture clearly in your head, FWA and fans worldwide? As epic an event Shockwave of Conflict was?this is bigger. If you couldn’t tell by reading our names on the event then you can certainly tell with how this match has begun, the words we’ve spoken. It’s like the two of us are climbing a serene mountain of pristine beauty to the top, to the climax and at Legends Reborn the climatic clash will happen and one of us will fall, the other will stand tall holding the Attitude Championship.?/FONT>

Another grin.

“And now my dear opponent, we come across our first real mode of conflict. Our first problem and the one we knew was there all along. I HAVE gotten attached to this championship, I have gotten used to being the Attitude champion and I damn well love being the Attitude champion. Why wouldn’t I? You said it yourself, this match alone is going to lift that title to heights it has never seen before, hell I even go so far as to say heights a non world title has ever seen before! There is no way, no chance in hell I don’t want to be the guy reaping those rewards when it’s all said and done, that I want to just give away what I worked hard to re-establish last week against GJ and then put over the top with you, not a chance. Yet?all that is just words, isn’t it? I’m not really big on throwing the past in someone’s face but every now and then it all fits into place nicely. Last week, I had strong words for Georgia and at the end of the night, no matter if you were there or not, I got the job done. Last week, you thought you were going to come away with the victory, but you were surprised and ended up losing. Now you’ve got strong words again Joe and as easy as it is for me and everyone else to want to believe that you’re going to be at the top of your game at the very best we’ve ever seen?I doubt that.

“I doubt don’t that you want to, I don’t doubt that you’re going to come at me like you haven’t come at someone in a long, long damn time. I know what I’ve got in store this week. I also know that we’re not even a week removed from your loss. It takes time to get over things like that and I don’t just mean mentally. Mentally I believed you’re ready to fire on all cylinders because this is Legends Reborn. It was at this PPV last year, Born Legends, that you captured World Championship gold. It is your chance to use my championship this year to put a bright life force into your fading star that is Superstar Joe. I can tell you’re ready for this. However the faults I see, your pride covers up. You still have holes in your game you need to patch up and one week just isn’t going to cut it. You may have put duct tape on it and expect me not to notice but I do notice and you can bet your ass I’m going to be exploiting all those little holes I see that are significantly larger than mine because its been a long time since I have faltered. So thanks for your tough talk on what you’re going to do, the amount of holds you have in your arsenal that you’re ready to deliver?but until you do deliver, talk is cheap. Until you can back it up, talk is cheap and like it or not, Eigenschatt did defeat you, by hook or by crook he did and until you remedy that, it’s on you.?/FONT>

Finally Seifer’s drink comes but it was taking forever for his gyro. He sighs and glances around, luckily everyone seemed to be going about their own business, eating lunch with friends and family, some flying solo and in the streets he noticed that a small crowd was gathering around the fountain, only a few people right now.

“I think it’s safe to say it should go unsaid that I know you can back it up as you have countless times in the past, but the deep past isn’t what I’m focused on right now, I merely went off what went down last week, and at the PPV, but you already admitted all of that yourself. All I’m saying is sometimes things are harder to just ‘turn it around?especially when you’re going up against the likes of me. Trust me on this Joe, I’ve faced many guys who haven’t been on the right track and thought that their match with me was just what the doctor ordered because of my status and skill, and I exposed them. They spoke with their words what they knew but their actions took for granted just how tough I was actually going to be and I left them lying on the mat wondering what went wrong. I liked your Wall of Legends though Joe and in fact, when I reach the appropriate location I too will be commenting more on that and giving you a little list as well. However it’s not going to be fate which decides what picture goes on the wall, it’s going to be me and you, one of us will control that.?/FONT>

“Don’t believe in fate lad??/FONT>

“Sometimes, but when it comes to fighting, I like to believe I control the outcome. They don’t call me the pulse of matches or wrestling for nothing.?/FONT>

“Speaking of outcomes, did you hear what he said about the loser? How it’ll be affected??/FONT>

“You’re a fan??/FONT>

“No lad, you just told me to read this to segway into your next spiel.?/FONT>

Seifer blushes, oops? He takes the paper and shakes a fake angry fist. DAMN YOU SCUBA STEVE!

“Indeed I did. Joe, your outcome of how the loser will be affected is pretty negative. Just because you lose to me, doesn’t make your return a failure. There is no dishonor in losing to me, probably about ninety five percent of the people I’ve faced have been down that route, a lot of them take it as a learning experience and get even better. You may have to fight a bit to get back into contention and definitely have to work harder to get up to the ranks of World contender, but it’s not all a total loss as I’m willing to bet our match will be worthy of a match of the year honors, here, in PWI Magazine and in the minds of many. As far as I go, I have more to lose simply because if I lose, there goes my title. But not everything would come crashing down with one loss, I’m good enough to make sure that doesn’t happen. I can go for a rematch or I can even rack up some wins and then attempt to make a World title run. The mere fact that we’re going to be apart of such a dream match gives us a sense of invincibility Joe. It means that no matter the outcome, even the loser will come out better than he would if it was just some regular title match. So look on the bright side, when you lose you can get your revenge against Domo-Kun and then we’ll see what’s going on to see if it’s time to challenge me again unless my dance card is full or if you’ve got other business to attend to.?/FONT>

Seifer winks, yes it was about time he brought forth that attitude, that arrogance that Seifmadness followers have come to know and love.

“Oh come on, you knew it would be here sooner or later!?/FONT>

Finally, his food is ready, Seifer takes it and pays. He jumps off the stool and begins to make his way to the fountain where the crowd of people had gotten even bigger. The cameras follow him as he pushes through to get to the front, when he does he sees a man dressed in a white robe holding a bible and speaking in Greek while a young boy stands beside him, dressed in white as well. They are standing in the fountain as a crowd of onlookers are all around and a mother is sitting on the edge, a gleeful smile on her face.

“Ah, a baptism. The act of being reborn again in Christ. Perhaps this Pay Per View won’t be a rebirth when it comes to religion, but it will certain be a rebirth when it comes to me and my career. Cleansing myself and preparation for the next thrust in my career. Oh how glorious this is going to be.?/FONT>

Seifer sets his food down and reaches down into the water, splashing it on his face and head and turns one last time to look at the camera.

“FWA, on behalf of myself and Superstar Joe, you’re welcome. Because what we both intend on making the show stealer is only now starting to pick up steam.?/FONT>

The scene seizzles out.
