Jacksonville, Florida

The scene opens up with a shot of the Atlantic Ocean. However it’s not one looking out onto the horizon but rather one looking at the beach of Jacksonville. It’s late in the afternoon and the sun is way in front of us dipping down across the state into the Gulf. The cameras pan around the beach and come across the boardwalk and pier before eventually panning back around quickly to the horizon and then backing up, heading back in the direction it came and resting on Seifer who is leaning up against the wooden railing at the end of the pier, staring out into the distance.

He seems quiet, as if contemplating something very deep. Off to his left is a fishing pole with a line cast into the water. That’s when someone FWA is unfamiliar with walks up to him and pats him on the back. He’s about six foot, muscular, dark skinned, and seems to have brought Seifer something.

“Seif my man, I’ve got your car, my bad for taking so long.?/FONT>

“No problem Jules.?/FONT>

Jules can tell something is up with Seifer.

“What’s on your mind? You’re staring out at that horizon as if a very big decision weighs on your mind. You get your girl pregnant or something? I’m Pro Life when you can handle it and I know you can.?/FONT>

“It’s not that.?/FONT>

“Marriage?! Man you ain’t even been with this chick for very long, you can’t be thinking of getting married!?/FONT>

Seifer shakes his head.

“It has nothing to do with a chick.?/FONT>

“Then what’s up??/FONT>

“I can’t decide…?/FONT>

Jules laughs and stops Seifer from finishing as he walks around the bench, putting his hands on the back of it and laughs some more.

“I got it playa, you can’t decide if you want to pin Joe or if you want to make him submit. I KNOW that’s it! I don’t blame you for thinking so hard on such a thing. I mean on one hand a pinfall is damn good, it’s quick, it’s easy and you get the right angle on that Blood Spiller, he’ll be seeing stars and you’ll pick up the Dubya much easier. Submission on the other hand, boy that’s gonna be a struggle. You know he’s going to fight that with his every last breath! But when you hear the ref telling?you that he tapped because you can’t hear it yourself due to the thousands and thousands of screaming fans, man that’ll be a sweet feelin??/FONT>

Seifer now shakes his head and turns around, a smile on his face.

“Jules, I’m hardly thinking of which way I’m going to try and win the match. The way I see it, when the time comes, I’ll know what to do. I’m going to end it when I can, and if it’s through pinfall so be it, submission, so be it. Whatever comes up, comes up and that’s what we’re doing at the time, can’t make a sure fire decision on a match of this magnitude, gotta leave myself options. But no, that isn’t what was on my mind. I’m trying to decide if I want to go to White Castle here in Jacksonville, or wait an hour or so until we get to Daytona Beach and go to Krystal.?/FONT>

“Oh man, here I thought you were trying to make decisions on easy stuff. That’s?that’s a real thinker, no wonder you’re spending so much time on it!?/FONT>

“I know! Come on, like I’d waste time in thinking how I want to end my match with Joe. That’s not till this weekend, I gotta eat first. This pole isn’t catching a damn thing.?/FONT>

“Maybe it’s the operator of the pole.?/FONT>

“Don’t hate, besides, it’s just a prop, with a little bait.?/FONT>

“You and your props.?/FONT>

“Welcome to the world of cutting promos in the wrestling biz Jules. Oh, FWA, meet my friend here. Those who have the Seifmadness flowing through your veins will probably remember him from various random promos I’ve had him appear in.?/FONT>

“Like a celebrity shot in beer pong.?/FONT>

“Only you’re no celebrity.?/FONT>

“And we ain’t playin?beer pong.?/FONT>

“So then?kinda like nothing, huh??/FONT>

“Shut your mouth and cut your damn promo foo so we can go eat!?/FONT>

Seifer snickers and jumps up on the corner of the railing, sitting comfortably.

“Well, let’s continue, shall we? Welcome to Jacksonville, Florida. My third stop of my DHS tour around the country. I bet you’re wondering why I picked Jacksonville and it has nothing to do with being in Florida. No, I picked Jacksonville because of who I faced that night and what went down. It was Jesse James Miller, one of the guys you faced to get your shot. I may have stood tall at the end but that isn’t the important part. What’s important is what that match really represented. The fact that you were originally slated to guest referee. The fact that it was a match hyped as a ‘what if?when it came to Jesse and my title. The fact that it represented me in the ring with my first challenger and mixing it up with a potential challenger in the future. If I had the Attitude title on me I’d hold it up now to show the world that that night was the true beginning of Seifer’s tough road ahead of him with his Attitude title reign.?/FONT>

Seifer nods, knowing what it all meant.

“I knew it wouldn’t be easy, especially when the World title is harder to acquire a shot for as you need to really have earned your way. Where as the top mid card?or rather only mid card title is a little easier to attain such a shot. Then again, that’s what I enjoy. I like being the ‘other?guy with a singles title. The one who you’re going to have to go through whether someone likes it or not. There are a lot of dogs in FWA and some of them want gold for glory, others want it to propel themselves and others might even want it due to threats, but at the end of the day, that buck goes through me and I love that. I embrace that and I’ll be saying this a lot this week so get used to it, but I’m not ready to let go of that.?/FONT>

Seifer looks around, spreading his arms out to encompass the entire city.

“That’s why I picked this city as my next stop. Because this is where my attitude in this reign was truly born. Not like the week before when I announced that it was coming back, but on that night when I thought I was going to look my challenger in the eye and he looks back at me from a neutral point of view and we just knew our time would come. Now of course we know that didn’t happen, but as I said before, I understand your reasoning once you heard my announcement.?/FONT>

“How come he didn’t make his announcement sooner? Was he trying to get an upper hand or something??/FONT>

“I’m sure it was a disappointment to his fans but they were rewarded the very next week. Really, I don’t know. This is a chess game we wrestlers like to play and it was probably one of his moves. He informed those he needed to, so why go public? Let me think about the fact that someone I don’t know well that’s coming for my belt is the referee of my match, maybe force me into being a little more cautious heading in. Granted it did nothing in the match when I knew he wasn’t there, but I was curious at the time, way in the back of my head pondering why he wasn’t there, would he be coming out later??/FONT> Seifer shrugs, “Though it isn’t as if Joe is trying to play games with me because I think he has seen enough of me to know that I’ll laugh at someone attempting to mess with me.?/FONT>

“It just ain’t smart.?/FONT>

“You got that right. No so far this pre match has been pretty straight forward. We both want what I got, but who wants it more??/FONT>

Seifer does the little RVD taunt. Num-ero Uno.

“You know, with both of us going into this with the mindset that we’re going to give it everything we got, you know it’s going to be an epic match, you know that the follow up match is going to have a very hard time following us and keeping the fans excited like Joe has been saying. The fans are humans just like us and will probably have to take a piss ,want some drinks and will be waiting all during our match knowing that they just CAN’T leave their seats. Well, except when they’re standing up and chanting “THIS IS AWESOME! *Clap Clap, Clap Clap Clap* THIS IS AWESOME!?/EM>. Joe questions why Alex would do such a thing but I think that’s part of his plan. The man likes to scheme whenever possible and what better time to catch everyone by surprise when most people are exhausted from the massive amount of reacting they will be doing in our match and won’t be paying as close attention? He’ll have everyone fooled and most will be like ‘whoa, what happened??So if I were Richard Mercy, I’d be very careful, even more so than he already plans on being.?/FONT>

“Nice theory.?/FONT>

“I know, it makes sense doesn’t it? If I was scheming some evil plot I wanted to get away with without many people noticing until it’s all said and done, that’s what I would do. Then again what I would do only matters when it comes down to my match. What happens before us, none of my concern. What happens after us, none of my concern. All that I’m focused on at Legends Reborn is my match. Joe said he likes a pure wrestling match and looking at his repertoire and what he can bring to the table, he’s good at them, very good. And as history has shown, I excel at those and enjoy them a lot, but one of the benefits, or maybe problems facing me is that you never know when I’m going to flip the switch and really turn it on and get down and dirty, ya just never can tell.?/FONT>

“So we could essentially see a wrestling classic and then in a moment’s notice a brawl to end it all??/FONT>

“Isn’t that what makes this match so great? We keep saying it but it’s only because how true it all is. The fact that you’ve got two huge stars fighting for the first time with essentially no past between us is the ultimate ‘unknown?factor. A lot of matches you could predict who is going to win but most importantly, how things are going to go down between them. With us, you have no idea. I may come in and totally mis study Superstar and he may surprise me and steal my title within?five minutes. Likewise he may read me wrong and the next thing you know I’ve had one of the shortest defenses of my career?but the likelihood of either of those happenings is rare. No people know they’re in store for an epic match but they just don’t know what’s going to go down, how it’s going to go down and the only thing they can do is sit back, or rather sit forward, and enjoy.?/FONT>

Seifer chooses to kick back, leaning up against one of the wooden posts and placing his feet on the bench.

“Now, technically I am the favorite heading into this match. I saw the Vegas odds, 5 to 4 favorites, but to me that’s not really being the ‘favorite? even if I am champion as that doesn’t always matter as we saw when it comes to the Championess match. It’s clear that the one point advantage went to me due to last week but because Joe is a fantastic competitor and FWA fans have seen what Joe can do, it isn’t more, even if I have had more recent success. Then again, the topic only came up so I’m mentioning it, generally I don’t even pay attention to who’s the favorite and who’s the underdog, not really going to make any bit of difference in the long run. Ask people in New England about that.?/FONT>

He winks, then laughs.

“On second thought, just ask people in New York. The peeps in the New England area will probably try and burn you or something.?/FONT>

“Crazy bitter bastards.?/FONT>

“Everyone’s luck eventually runs out, but usually when you’re good enough, it keeps going on for a long time. Me? I don’t feel as if I’ve been going on for a long time, I feel as if my reign really has only begun to pick up steam; if I lose here and now, no matter how great a show we put on, it’s going to feel as if my reign ended prematurely. It’s going to feel like there was more I could have accomplished, more challengers I could have faced, and more exciting matches to continue boosting up the title’s credibility, it’s obvious I’m just not ready to stop being the Attitude of FWA.?/FONT>

Seifer hops off of the railing just as his fishing line begins to tug. Seifer grabs it and the struggle begins.

“Hah! It looks like my luck isn’t about to run out yet!?/FONT>

The fight ensues but it isn’t that big a fish so Seifer doesn’t have to fight for very long before he reels her in. A good fifteen incher or so.

“Not to shabby for a newb.?/FONT>

“Pft, get outta here, I barely did any work for this thing. If only that were the case for this upcoming match but this is work I actually enjoy. Every day I’ve gone to the gym, I’ve enjoyed it. Every tape I studied, I enjoyed it. Every time I’ve come out and cut a promo, I’ve enjoyed it. I had a blast working Shockwave of Conflict and it was the most enjoyable experience I’d had in a long time?I didn’t expect that to be out done so soon but Superstar Joe?Attitude Championship?on what is on its way to becoming the biggest FWA PPV ever Legends Reborn? Oh man, this is indeed a blast.?/FONT>

Seifer unhooks the fish and throws it back into the water.

“What are you doing? That’s FOOD!?/FONT>

“I’ve made up my mind, Krystal in Daytona it is, they’re more old school, White Castle is that new flash and this match is anything but all flash. This match?screw it, I think everyone knows by now how seiftastic this match will be. See Joe, I too got my Seiferisms topped on with Seifitude, well, let’s just say it’s going to be a long, very entertaining night.?/FONT>

Seifer grabs the fishing pole and takes one last glance at the ocean before it’s past the bench and him and Jules walk down the pier as the sky has gotten much darker now that the sun had set across the state. The scene fades to black.
