Realm of Immortality

There is a commercial out there by Nike that has a really catchy song by Saul Williams; the whole commercial is focused on athletes running, jumping, playing�?training. The concept of the commercial is for those who have the desire to be the best at whatever they do. It is of course also to sell a shoe, but in doing so, in getting your blood pumped up, you want to go out there and work even harder. They advertise at the end after various different times of betters you can have that ‘My better, is better than your better.�?That is what this match is going to boil down to.

Seifer. Superstar Joe. Whose better is better than the other’s better?

Both men know that to win this match they’re going to have to wrestle as mistake free as possible. It’s generally like that with all sports, but when it’s one on one competition, it makes that much harder. If you’re playing football and your offense can’t score a touchdown to save their lives but keep kicking field goals, you actually have a chance to win if your defense keeps knocking the QB around and forcing turnovers. In basketball if your two star players suddenly go flat, all is finished right? Not if your third scorer has a big game and someone off the bench really delivers, you have a chance. Yet in sports like one on one tennis? If you continually are making unforced errors, there is no partner to bail you out by acing their first serves time and time again, if you don’t do something, you’re finished. The same thing with wrestling. If you aren’t as quick to the punch and allow your opponent to get the upper hand each time you could have it, if you keep allowing him to counter your moves and aren’t stopping him when he hits you with his, by the time the match goes on you’re standing there in a daze realizing that your head hurts, your body aches and your vision is blurred while he still is talking trash, taunting you and ready to dance circles around you. In one on one competition there is no partner to tag out to so you can rest and they can work your opponent. It’s all on you.

Seifer knows this and he has accepted it. He has been in big matches before and while each one is different, the feeling, the aura, the electricity is no different. He won’t be phased by that and in his mind, neither will Superstar Joe. Whether or not that is the case, he never will know, but if he assumes he won’t be, then that forces Seifer to train even harder and to be ready for anything. Seifer is ready. The question is�?are you ready�?For Seifbo No. 5?!

DUN DUN DUN!

Miami, Florida

Seifer is sitting in what appears to be his home. He’s in a leather chair behind a beach wood desk and adorning both walls behind him are bookshelves, one filled with books, the other with dvd’s. In the middle and directly behind him is a large window that overlooks some palm trees and through those trees way up in the distance, another house. To his right and our left, are some French doors which lead out onto the deck that over looks his backyard with his swimming pool, waterfall and the beach beyond his yard. The cameras pan back over to Seifer who is resting comfortably leaning back with a white aloha shirt on and a pair of jean shorts, sitting on the left side of his desk is his Tag Team title and on the right side his Attitude title.

“Welcome to my humble adobe here in the MIA. You just had to know that this would be the next stop seeing as we’re this close to it. I mean I didn’t have Jules bring up my Bugatti for nothing, ya know? Nothing like racing down the state at breakneck speeds and bribing police officers with large amounts of money when they pull me over.�?/FONT>

He pauses, then realizes that kids could be watching!

“I’m of course kidding.�?Shifty eyes.

“Before I get into what Joe said, I will begin with what I had mentioned to earlier. Back when Joe stood in front of his wall of legends, I told him I’d comment on that more later and give him a list of my own, and now, I shall.�?/FONT>

Seifer stands up and walks over to his left, away from the French doors and over to a wall next to the dvd bookshelf where he’s got a bulletin and dry erase board together. Above the dry erase he has four pictures tacked to it. Georgia James, Isabella Taylor, Ryan Cain and Deus. Below Seifer had wrote in ‘FWA World Championship List�?/P>

“So perhaps it’s not as fancy as yours is Joe, isn’t in frames and I just printed out these pictures a few minutes ago. Yet, it doesn’t matter how good it looks, all that matters is that it was done. This is my list Joe, this is the list I want you to join. Unlike your list of legends, I’m going to be on there win, lose, or draw. As I said, that’ll be an honor, but it doesn’t matter which picture is on your wall even though I know which one you want, either way it’s still going on your wall. However to make my list, well, there’s only one way you can make my list and that’s following in the footsteps of these four and that’s falling to me.�?/FONT>

Seifer steps over and grabs the Attitude belt, holding it up before slinging it over his shoulder.

“See, this championship means a lot to me. Maybe it’s the name, maybe it’s what it represents but I enjoy being champion. I want to continue on with my reign and make this title one of the best out there. However I still have my main goal in mind, and that’s the FWA World Championship. When I first came here, that was my main goal, I knew what I had to do to get there and every week, I’m being that architect that was talked about and building my way to the title from the ground up. I’m not ashamed to admit that this title is a big key into getting there, but you are also a key, a large building block. That list over there, not all of those matches happened in FWA, some of them even happened before said stars won the World Championship, but that doesn’t make a difference in the long run. So all together, I’d like you to have the honor of being the fifth person on that list. Though here in FWA, it still is impressive as you’d be the third…�?/FONT>

He thinks for a moment, contemplating.

“Technically I guess I could even call you the fourth since I did pin Ryan Cain back in that tag title match. Either way it doesn’t matter, I want you to be the fifth person Joe, I want that honor all for you.�?/FONT>

Seifer laughs, he knew Joe probably wouldn’t take too kindly to Seifer wanting him to be on the list of champs he has defeated.

“I’m going to get where I’m going to get one way or another, and for me right now, I believe I have to go through you. Even if I technically don’t, I’m not allowing those thoughts to enter my mind because stepping away from the future and landing right back to the present, this is what it’s about.�?Motion to the Attitude, “It’s not about lists of legends and world champs, it’s not about any other title besides my own, that’s what we’re fighting for and while in the back of my mind I’ve planned and did all of this, none of that is going to matter when we step foot into that ring. I’ve got one goal in mind in the here and now and that’s taking you down to retain my title.�?/FONT>

Seifer begins to walk out of the room before taking one last glance at his list of World Champs.

“It’s gonna be tough, but with the right salt and a little bit of peppa, I think I can add Joe as the fifth to that list.�?/FONT>

Suddenly he gets an idea, turns his head slightly towards the sky and the magic begins.

The stage is set in a small coffee house like auditorium atmosphere that can probably house a couple hundred people. The seats are filled behind and up in front are a dozen or so coffee tables occupied by VIP celebrities and other professional athletes. The red curtains on stage have a single shining light on them as they gracefully are pulled apart and standing there dressed in a pair of Armani brown shoes, tanned colored pants with a matching blazer, white shirt and a tanned vest as well as a round hat on his head, hair tied in the back and a wooden cane in his hand. He stands with his head lowered to the crowd and is already mic’d up. His voice echoes around the auditorium as the clapping stops.

Ladies and Gentlemen this is Seifbo No. 5!

The music begins to pick up but Seifer stays still, except for his right leg which is beginning to tap slightly to the music.

One, two, three, four, five
Everybody in the car, so come on let's ride
To the arena around the corner
Supes Joe say he want some Attitude
But he really don't wanna

Now, Seifer begins to move, breaking out to the side and throwing his legs from side to side, swiveling those hips around and showing that living in Miami for as long as he has, he’s got some of that Cuban motion going on.

Victory like I had last week
I must stay deep 'cause talk is cheap
I beat Izzy, Georgia, Ryan and Deus
And as I continue you know they're getting sweeter
So what can I do? I really beg you, my Lord
To me winning is just like a sport
Anything fly, it's all good let me dump it
Please set in the trumpet

As he hit’s the chorus a group of four dancers join in behind him, they are all dancing in perfect sync and beyond them another set of curtains lift to see the band playing and rocking out.

A little bit of Isabella in the 2K
A little bit of Georgia made her tap
A little bit of Ryan put him down
A little bit of Deus is what I beat
A little bit of Joe in Cali
A little bit of Scarie could be next
A little bit of Davidson might return
A little bit of you makes me your champ

Now is where it gets CRAZAY! We see from the left and right a whole plethora of dancers, only they aren’t just any dancers but�?FWA SUPERSTARS! Oh yes indeed, everyone from Sparrow to Isabella to Ramirez to Heather to Jade to Deus to Scarie to Riley to William to Jesse to Richard to James to Franny to Eden to Tony to Alex to Katherine and everyone else in between, even Superstar Joe is getting down!

Seifbo number 5!

All the stars are lined up in unison with Seifer in the very middle and they’re all going off his flow.

Jump up and down go and move it all around

One to the front and one to the side
Clap your hands once and clap your hands twice
And if it looks like this then you're doing it right

They’re just going all out on this musical man, you should see ‘em dancing! By far funniest dancer goes to Mr. Scarie, can’t you just picture how awesome it would be seeing a dude with a sack on his head shaking it from side to side and gettin�?down?

The music finally stops and Seifer stands still and then begins taking that cane and whacking people in the faces with it.

“DUDE!�?Jules yells, snapping him out of his day dream and smacking him on the head.

“Ow! What?! How did you get in here?�?/FONT>

“Who cares, were you just day dreaming about dancing to Mambo No. 5 with FWA stars?�?/FONT>

Seifer shifts his eyes around, “It was actually Seifbo No. 5, but yes.�?/FONT>

“Oh�?my god.�?/FONT>

“You sound a lot like Turk from Scrubs right now.�?/FONT>

“And you’re acting like JD big man.�?/FONT>

“You mean to tell me…�?/FONT>

“That they,�?he points to the cameras, “All saw your little skit due to the beauty of television? Yes, I am.�?/FONT>

“Fuckberries.�?He shrugs�?when in Rome�?holding his titles he lifts his hand up in a marching fist, “OFF TO SAAAAAAN!�?/FONT>

FAAAAAAAAAAAAADE!
