Silence.

It's not as golden as you might think but as one six foot eight wrestler, friend, and stable mate of Seifer said "It's what he does when he knows he's going to lose."

The biggest sham out of all this isn't that two of the four defending champions haven't uttered a word yet for FWA's final show, it's that Seifer waited this long to do something. FWA closing isn't any one person's doing, we know this, it's just the dwindling state of wrestling, then again that too is nothing new.

You can't look to the past and make excuses, what's done is done. The point is, Seifer's got his shot now and he isn't going to let Deus go the silent route and leave unscathed with just a loss on his record. Well, he can't control if Deus will break his silence or not, but while FWA's still kicking, he certainly can use his air time for all its worth.

A similar setting from before only instead of the San Diego arena, we're in the Defiance arena. Instead of a couple thousand screaming fans, there is not a fan in the seats. The ever so classic empty arena. Seifer's not in the ring however, he's sitting in one of the rows up on the first level arms spread out on the seats next to him and his legs are kicked up on the seats in front of him. One his right is the Attitude Championship and his left the Tag Team Championship he never lost.

"When I look back at what I've done in FWA and the impact I've made, I'm pretty proud. I've had countless of match of the year quality matches with some of FWA's top names. Hell, I've beaten more former World Champions than anyone else. I've had amazing reigns and have managed to take a title and raise its prestige higher than any active mid card championship around during my reign, and I've secured a spot in FWA's Hall of Fame. Even if that will be mute, guys like myself and Davidson can take pride knowing that we actually did something in FWA's last show knowing that we'll go down as Hall of Famers. What I'm probably and surprisingly most proud of, and at the same time disgusted, at is that I made such an impact without ever winning or competing for the World Championship. To me, to have lasted that long and done as much as I did, going undefeated save for one thrown tag team match with a partner I ditched a couple weeks later, is a testament to my career and all the people who call me a 'titleholic' or as I proudly sport the nickname of 'championship magnet'. Don't get me wrong, I love winning title belts, it's fun, but I've shown that I don't need a World Championship to prove I'm the best."

Seifer grins, he knew it was true.

"I told you I was at the same time disgusted by this because I pulled a complete one eighty in my career. I've never just sat back and waited for things to come with me, take it easy and go with the flow. Maybe that's why FWA is falling now. Because that is essentially how FWA has been the past couple of years, laid back is good, but this place was TOO laid back. It took forever for anything to get going so I found myself just going with the flow, stealing the show when I was booked and focusing my core energies elsewhere. That's partially why it's only now I'm getting my long deserved title shot. Yet at the same time, it's not as if I've been in the hunt for that long a time either. As you know I reigned as Attitude Champion but when I finally decided enough was enough and challenged for the World Championship, it didn't take too long before I got my shot. I challenged you Deus, remember? No, probably not because you never responded. So I went forth and won the contendership, proving that as soon as I decided to go for the World title, there wasn't anyone that was going to stop me.

"So here we are Deus. I'm going for the World Championship and you're the only guy left to stop me from it. Think you can do that? Think you can stumble out of your cave and come out to fight one more match? Come on Deus, I'm BEGGIN ya to do something, you're a World Champion for fucks sake! Then again, you've been a disappointment for a World Champion, especially lately. Last time we were in the ring was a couple weeks ago with Marcus Davis in that triple threat and you didn't even bother to cut a promotion, just like I'm sure you won't bother this time."

Seifer throws his hand up and gives a 'bah' sign.

"To think you've been champion for such a long time... the more I think about it the more I realize my lack of challenging for it way earlier is what helped kill FWA. Had I done so back in the spring we would never have had to deal with your 'do nothing till you have to and then only maybe' attitude and never in any hurry to get anything going. You might wrestle good and be well spoken but you're boring as hell when it comes to any interest in your character and what you bring to the table. Maybe you weren't always this way but for as long as I've known you, its been like this. Yet rather than just walk away you use your connections to keep you relevant in the game, without them you'd have been washed out to sea a long time ago. Best part is, you know it too."

Seifer winks.

"At least when I'm World Champion, things happen, people get exited and the damn business as a whole gets moving. That's no ego either Deus, my past speaks for itself. That's one of the reasons that makes me so good is that I probably have the least amount of weak points in my armor for someone to attack out of any wrestler past and present, and that's being honest. I'm real Deus, you? You're just a guy that's finally getting put against a true top dog and you're being exposed. I mean, wasn't it the consensus that you 'deserved' the World title shot against Scarie all those months ago? Yet, did you really even deserve that? No, you lost in the tournament and then had a second chance and lost yet again. You got it because you're Deus and here you're relevant because you stick around and people think you are. You're pretty good when you show up, I'll give you that man, but that's a rarity. In a combined four matches we've had against one another including the tag and this one, you've put up a grand total of... 2 promos so far. TWO WHOLE PROMOS DEUS! That's an average of half a promo per match, that's so awesome, no wonder you're World Champ!"

He can't help but roll his eyes, the sarcasm just oozing out.

"I'm really glad that I went forth and finally did something, put my own belt on the line and challenged you to a last man standing match. Because at least another defending champion besides TJ will show that they actually give a damn about FWA's final show and most importantly I'll put down FWA's golden boy for the ten count and when I do, I'll be able to hoist the World Championship over my head."

Seifer points now to the ring, and then around at the arena.

"This normally comes first but I wanted to get right down to business. Why the empty arena that's used so often but always a classic? Because when it's all said and done, this is what'll be left of the FWA, nothingness. Emptiness Deus, nothing... which is exactly what you'll be left with. You'll go down in history as the last man to lose a match and a championship in this company. Some golden boy huh? Where's your Heather now?"

OH SNAP!

"Oooh did that hit close to the bone? Toughen up kid, she never loved you anyways. Maybe you'll find it in that drunken soul of yours to say something, but I doubt it. Oh and before I finish up I heard that NED had some choice words for me. That's... awesome. Craving attention any? If you don't want a match, keep your mouth shut because it only makes you look bad and as shown the four times I challenged you over the years, you don't want it with Seif, NOOOOOO."

YOU GUYS DON'T WANT IT WITH HOV, NOOOOO!

"FYI, I'm not done either. I think I'll do an interview next or something since Deus lost his voice. Why the hell not, it's the final show and I'm going to win the World Championship. TOUCHDOWN BABY!"

Seif throws up his arms indicting a score and we seizzle out.
