Then again they never did need many to completely dominate everyone who stepped foot into their path, even if it is a couple veterans. Hey, minus their obvious partnership and how far back they go, you know what else they’ve got in common? Both are Main Eventing shows in two different companies on the same night. Cross in W2K and BUD, Seifer in PWT and BUD. Damn, talk about a couple stud’s, you just can’t fuck with ‘em.
The scene opens up outside of the streets of Vegas. The MGM Grand can be seen up in the distance, lighting up in all its glory. Off to the side we see two true Kings. Seifer’s leaning up against the edge of a fountain staring off into the distance, in a bit of a zone but focused none the less. Cross is standing and few feet away.
“What are you thinking man?�?/FONT> “About this match later on. About the amount of shit talk Dante has been doing and how it wouldn’t be me to ignore it and not respond to it like only I can.�?/FONT> He turns to the camera. “So here we are, so close to the time we finally meet in the ring again. I’ll start with you Nikki. Is that all you’ve got sweetheart? Continually trying to jab with me Rebecca? As if it’s really going to get to me? I mention Amethyst and now you try and hit me with the same stuff. Yeah, Rebecca isn’t by my side. Then again it’s not like I’ve got someone by my side that was already tossed to the wayside a couple times before she jumped right back into bed. You don’t want to play this game with me Nikki, ask your boy toy over there, I don’t fuck around.�?/FONT> Cross looks into the cameras now. “And people are saying that this ISN’T the top feud in BUD, let alone wrestling? They must be smoking a hell of a lot more than Dante and I have combined.�?/FONT> Seifer nods along. “That’s probably about the only thing I’ll agree with Dante on, we’re the wrestlers here, we’re the top talent of yesterday, today, and tomorrow and there won’t be anything that changes that. Well I am anyways, I know it pains Dante to admit it because he thinks I’m passed my prime, but that’ll just end up being his loss. We’re the ones people pay to see.�?/FONT> “Actually I am. Cause they’ll probably never get the chance to see Cross again in BUD.�?/FONT> “You mean if it had been hyped.�?/FONT> “Not like BUD sells out anyways.�?/FONT> “o0o0o0o I can already hear people rushing to the camera crew to tell you how they sell out all their shows.�?/FONT> “Do I give a fuck?�?/FONT> Seifer grins. “That’s why he’s my partner tonight. Dante, about Lori, did I miss all what you did to her? Nah, I didn’t but I also don’t care. I said it then, I’ll say it now, it was Lori Anne McMahon! I don’t see why you are bragging about beating her within�?an inch of her life like it’s supposed to scare or impress me. No one cares.�?/FONT> “Fine, I’ll give you the Juneau deal since he couldn’t earn his contendership and so you didn’t give him the time of day because he wasn’t worth your time. But that doesn’t mean you got one here because as Heavyweight champion sometimes you gotta do what you don’t want to do and that’s fight people that are undeserving. I’ve done that a few times because when there is NO ONE worthy of stepping up, you gotta fight those who have the balls to step up, worthy or not. That’s what a REAL champion does, not sit on his ass so he gets a long reign and only putting it up against those management forces him to defend against or those he thinks have earned it. Otherwise you get a joke reign�?and to think you went at Sean all the time about his reign. At least he was willing to defend against people, unlike Mr. 3 Month Champion with only one real defense. Yeah man, you’re really restoring the credibility to that belt.�?/FONT> Two big thumbs up. “I’ll bet he’s going to get pissed over that. Hell I don’t think she ever acknowledged the match bar maybe once or twice but certainly not in the form of promos. Which means that according to Dante law, that means it was obvious who was going to win. So that definitely isn’t a real defense.�?/FONT> Smirk. “Man Dante, all that bragging I’ve heard you do about how you defeated BUD’s Queen Bytch, really ain’t shit at all. It’s okay, good thing I’m here to keep your ego in check.�?/FONT> “You know he alluded to me being your partner, right buddy?�?/FONT> Cross smirks... is he up to something? “I know�?I know. Let’s assume he was talking about you. Maybe I am just walking right into a trap.�?/FONT> Seifer gets up and the air in the area stiffens real quickly as Cross and Seifer come face to face, which draws the attention of a few people passing by. They continue to stare at each other until breaking up in laughter. “Damn man, his mind games are rich. Yeah Dante you and Cross go way back, but so do we. We go way back before BUD as well.�?/FONT> “Dante, you said I should be smarter than that? Sticking my nose into your business huh. I do my research too, it sure wasn’t a problem when Nova stuck his nose in your business. Or when Manson did it. Or now that Nikki is doing it. So since the odds seem a little uneven and Seif was the one who called me up, I figured I’d even them right on out.�?/FONT> “This could have been avoided if you’d been smart enough to get a stipulation that said I had to pick a partner who has a contract with BUD. Either way, thanks for bragging about what you’ve done the past six months there Dante, but exactly how is that going to help you in this match? You don’t think I know what you’ve done? I do. That’s why I’m here but it seems you’re too afraid I’ll get active and take back the spotlight that you ignore that and have to remind everyone that you’re the man now. You want me to say it? I will. Had Nova not bailed on BUD, I wouldn’t have had to bail them out. Yeah Nova, keep my name out of your mouth until you know what you’re talking about. Seeing as you don’t know how much they asked me to come back. Even after the first couple times do you know what I said? ‘How about Jimmy Stryker�? I suggested it because I really didn’t want to make the sacrifice just to potentially win again. Finally it got to the point where either I let their biggest PPV fall flat on its ass with a horrible Main Event if that, or I step up and make yet another sacrifice for BUD. Five World Championship here. The only shame I have in that is that it took away time from me competing in a place like W2K since I’ve yet to really give them my time and a fair shake.�?/FONT> He looks over at Cross and then back to the camera. “Maybe one day though. But other than that, I’m not ashamed I did it. Just like the previous year, get your facts right Nova, it wasn’t management who asked me to be in it, it was Andrew Underwood himself because RuCK made it more than clear he’d only show up if it was me who made it.�?/FONT> He shrugs now. “Back on topic now. See despite the bad rep BUD gets I’ve proven that I’ll go to bat to whatever company I’m working with if they stay loyal. I’ve made more sacrifices for this place then you ever will. You? You’re big now and great for the company but as soon as things don’t go your way you’ll be gone, again. So enjoy the green turf because if it wasn’t for a guy like me and others it’d be nothing but mud. This wasn’t just on camera antics, it was off camera as well and not once did we give a fuck. Guess what? I still don’t. If I had the chance to do it over again not a damn thing would change. So tell them that, see if that gets you any brownie points for exposing something that everyone already knows or should at least unless they’ve been living under a mountain. As far as the people goes, pfft, for as much as you know me you probably still think I care about them right? A couple seconds pass and he slaps him in the back. “What?!�?/FONT> “You’re supposed to say ‘you’re fucked�?�?/FONT> “But Dante’s already fucked man.�?/FONT> “True, we’re going to open up hell in there.�?/FONT> “And all he’s got is some smark buddies. Which that was pretty clever by the way, but again, it won’t help you and it won’t change the facts. The facts being that tonight, you and your gal are going down. You got one over on me last time pal, this time, things will be much different. You may run BUD, but Cross and I? We run MSN. And tonight, we’re running the show.�?/FONT> He winks. Seifer and Cross turn past the fountain and the indented sitting area they were in as the cameras pan around, catching them as they head up the streets of Vegas towards the MGM Grand with all the lights, people, cars and excitement as Ungrateful V nears. Scene fades to black. |
