Has he lost his mind? Can he see or is he blind? Can he walk at all, Or if he moves will he fall? Is he alive or dead? Has he thoughts within his head? We'll just pass him there Why should we even care? Thus far Seifer has been crowned the official King of the South and MJ Storm has paid his own little tribute to hardcore. Now we move into the next stage of the pre match festivities, the countering and even more words of wisdom, at least from Seifer’s side. People might be looking at this match and not knowing quite what to expect, it’s taken a slower role in the form of promos but that doesn’t mean the match itself will be anything short of spectacular. Remember kiddies, it’s not always about the quantity you’re putting out, but the quality of it all. But that’s not to make any excuses; you’ve got to realize that Seifer and MJ Storm will be wrestling for an hour straight. For MJ that’s probably not going to be that big of a deal as he just recently went for five minutes shy of an hour against David at the last PPV. But for Seifer, someone who hasn’t wrestled for more than thirty minutes since probably March, it’s going to require a bit more endurance training to make sure he’s in tip top shape. That mixed in with Seifer having to plan a New Year’s Eve party in Honolulu while in New Orleans explains why he hasn’t been all over the air cutting promos. One of the things that makes Seifer great is his intense training that enables him to have a very high endurance level. We’re talking about a man who has wrestled for over two hours on one occasion and a couple others nearing that mark. So knowing how hard Seifer pushes himself, even when he wasn’t active, leads us to believe that he’ll be just fine. Don’t expect your favorite wrestler to be gassed anytime soon.
Especially not with the kind of match this is. Little did MJ know that he challenged Seifer to a match he will be wishing he hadn’t challenged him to. They could of done something else, but he wanted a hardcore Iron Man match. It wasn’t MJ’s fault, he didn’t know any better seeing as it’s been such a long time since there was one of these in wrestling. But MJ just signed his death warrant, as there’s no way Seifer’s going to lose in this type of match. It’s just not happening.
Don’t know what I’m talking about? You’ll soon find out.
The scene convenes on the streets of New Orleans. Inside of the French Quarter as the cameras pan up and down Bourbon Street before coming to the corner with St. Phillip street where we zoom in on the Lafitte Blacksmith shop, one of New Orleans most famous taverns. Inside of the tavern it’s as can be expected, pretty dark for early in the afternoon. There isn’t too many people in here as the cameras pan around the place, finally spotting Seifer who’s wearing a white linen short sleeve shirt and a pair of jean shorts, sitting in the corner booth a good three booths away from anyone else. He’s leaning back with his head resting on the wood above the booth, in his hand is a glass of water as he takes a sip before setting it down, noting the camera near him.
“A trip to New Orleans isn’t complete without a visit to the infamous Quarter. One of the oldest and most historic places of this city, plus one of the places that wasn’t really affected by Katrina. I came here to get away from it all and take the time to cut a promo. I know, coming to Bourbon Street to get away from it all doesn’t make too much sense. But it’s early in the afternoon and as you can see,?/FONT> he gestures his hand around the room, “We aren’t too busy at the moment. Besides, when dealt with a challenger, I don’t mess around and thus I wasn’t going to spend my nights getting wasted beyond belief. And since I’m throwing a New Year’s Eve party down in Hawaii, I figured this would be as good a chance of any to stop by and visit.?/FONT>
He takes another sip of his water and rubs his hands around the cold, wet glass.
“Looking around this dark place reminds me of times of old, when I used to have a ‘darker?edge. Not in my appearance but in my actions, doing things that most wouldn’t dream of ever doing. Things that gave many nightmares with the thought that if you pissed me off, I could be doing that to you. I caught your homage to hardcore MJ and at the end of it, I found myself smiling. You really do enjoy hardcore don’t you? I mean, all the weapons, all of the ways you can use them to inflict damage on someone. That’s hardcore to you is it??/FONT>
He shakes his head and brings his hands from the glass and over his face, and brushing his hair back.
“I guess everyone has their own definition of hardcore, or well, most probably have your definition of what being hardcore is all about. For you it’s about the different kinds of weapons you’ll be able to use, how you’ll be able to inflict your damage. Yet you are just like probably ninety-nine percent of wrestlers and fans alike out there who believe being hardcore is all about bashing someone’s head in with a steel chair or sticking someone in a garbage can and going crazy on them with a kendo stick.?BR> Seifer clasps his hands together; a little smirk is displayed on his face.
“It might have worked for you if you were going up against a man who thought the same thing. Then we’d both bring a whole slew of weapons and proceed to bash in each other’s head until the other person wasn’t moving. If you thought that this match was going to be that easy?you’re sadly mistaken. Allow me to let you in on a little secret, this ‘Hardcore Ironman?match you challenged me to, is one that has been done before. But you’re right, as far as my knowledge it hasn’t been done in PWT. Tell me, do you know who Jacob Mitchell is??BR> He nods his head, “Of course you do as I know he’s one of the ones who ripped on you during the federation altercation. Well, Jake happens to be like a brother to me and did you know that one of his matches is something called a Steelman match? Which is the exact same thing we’re going to be fighting in at Holiday Havoc. Now because Jake hasn’t had this match in a long time and I don’t think you’d go so far as to steal someone’s own match, I’m willing to bet you were unaware of it. I guess sometimes you just get unlucky because you unknowingly challenged me to one of my best friends own specialty matches. To put it in Layman terms, there isn’t a chance in hell I’m going to let you beat me in the Steelman match. You should of done your research a bit more carefully MJ, because while I’m sure your drive of getting the chance to beat me in my friend’s match may increase some, mine has just increased about ten fold.?BR> He adjust his seat and is quiet for just a moment before looking back into the camera.
“That means you’re fucked there buddy. You can go ahead and bring whatever weapons you’d like to the ring, ones that make noise, ones that don’t. You want to keep it secret from the fans how much you’re hurting me be my guest. But don’t be surprised when you find out that I can take a hell of a lot more pain and punishment then your average joe. When I train, I fuckin?train. It’s one of the reasons why I’m undefeated at four and zero in Iron Man matches. I don’t gas easily, I don’t let pain get to me. Most importantly, when I’m going, I’m going and I’ll keep going until I decide I want to stop. Sometimes I don’t want to stop.?BR> Seifer pulls some money out of his pocket and puts it on the table where the check is, having eaten prior to the start of the promo.
“Pay close attention MJ, as your body depends on it this Sunday.?/FONT>
He steps out beyond the booth and makes his way out of the tavern, the cameras following closely behind. Once outside we stroll down Bourbon street, passing by many antique and art shops as Seifer pauses in front of each of them as the cameras zoom around. Finally we reach a corner that isn’t filled with many people as Seifer leans up against a brick establishment.
“Were you paying attention? I hope so because what I’ve just shown you is what I’m going to be doing to you in that ring, in that arena on Sunday night.?/FONT>
Seifer gives a momentary pause.
“Confused? Then let me clarify it all for you. I just paid my own silent homage to hardcore. You went through a list of various weapons, I went through pieces of artwork. That’s what I was referring to earlier Storm, you and the rest of the world view hardcore as a way to use weapons to your advantage, I view hardcore as a work of art. To truly master it, means you’re able to go beyond the conventional wrestling methods of torturing another human. You’re under this impression that having a hardcore Ironman match is going to be right up both of our alley ways. You because of the hardcore aspect and me because I can and have out wrestled anyone on any given night. Yet the reality of it is, this Steelman match is right up my own alley. You’re giving me the chance to do whatever the fuck I want for an entire hour.?/FONT>
Seifer flashes a slightly sadistic smirk we haven’t seen from him in a while.
“I noticed one of the weapons you had was a Crown of Thorns kendo stick. A weapon forged by guys like Dangerously, Michaels, and Syck among others surely. So it makes you feel a bit different does it? Makes you want to really jam it in someone’s face and mash it like a grinder. Well I know all about that very weapon as if you’d of done your research, you’d see Christian Michaels did quite a number on my face back in our KoPWT match. The only difference is that when I held it in my hands, I didn’t feel a thing. The feeling you’re getting is one that I receive without holding a specific weapon in my hand. My steel chair wrapped in barbed wire doesn’t do it for me. I do it for me. I said hardcore to me is more of an art form rather than just another way to bash someone’s head in with a chair and Sunday you’re going to find out exactly what I mean. You’re going to see a Seifer you haven’t ever seen in PWT before. No, you won’t be getting the most sadistic Seifer the world has seen because quite frankly, you aren’t worth it.?/FONT>
He shrugs as he notices a young man in his peripheral vision that had been standing off to the side and in the distance watching him patiently, seemingly enjoying the promo. He ignores it for now and continues.
“Don’t get me wrong, we’re going to be putting on a killer show and I’m glad you’ll be bringing in a killer instinct because at the snap of my finger I can raise the bar beyond your reach. But no matter how much you want this to be one of those attention grabbers that everyone will be waiting for it to begin with baited breath, Seifer vs. MJ Storm isn’t going to be. It’s because you aren’t the star you think you are MJ. Your name doesn’t hold as much credibility and water that you so desperately wished it does. But that can all start to change on Sunday. Let me let you in on another little secret my friend…?/FONT>
Seifer motions with his right hand for the cameras to come in closer and it does so as Seifer reaches up to his neck and checks his pulse, smiling as he does so before return to a serious expression.
“I control the pulse of this match. I control what happens, what doesn’t happen. You’re going to get lucky a time or two and manage to get away, but it’s only a matter of time before my finger goes back over the pulse of the match. I’m pulling the strings out there MJ, not you. If I want this match to be a complete and utter disaster, I can do that. If I want it to be the greatest match of all time, I can do that. But I won’t be doing either of the two. On Sunday you’re going to find out just some of the games I know how to play, you’re going to find that the confidence you’re exuding has only lead you into a false sense of reality. By the time you realize you’re way in over your head, it’s going to be too late. Lucky for me I’ll be watching your expression when it finally hits you. When you realize that you’re in the ring with a fucking killer who at a moment’s notice could end your life if I so choose to. I’m not a bad guy MJ, really, I’m not. I just enjoy playing games and on Sunday, we’re going to play some games. Because remember, you’re the one who challenged me, not the other way around. You’re the one who wanted this match, I could have cared less. Which means you’re the one with something to prove, where as me, I’m just going in there to have a little bit of fun unfortunately for you it’ll be at your expense. But as I said before, you may just be able to come out of this loss shining like a bag full of diamonds. If I deem you’re worthy enough that is.?BR> Seifer pauses again, finally changing his focus on someone off to the left him that’s down the sidewalk.
“Either you’re a wrestling fan or communications and media is your field of interest.?/FONT>
The man coughs, a little nervous and answers after a slight stutter.
“We?well just a big wrestling fan is all. I uh didn’t mean to intrude.?/FONT>
Seifer shrugs, “Don’t worry about it, half the world is going to see it anyways on TV, you’re just getting a first hand view.?BR> “I’m Frank. I saw you coming out of the tavern earlier with a camera and I knew you were cutting a promo so I decided to stick around and watch. Pretty entertaining.?/FONT>
“Thanks.?/FONT>
“Say, can I ask you a question.?/FONT>
He doesn’t respond, just nods so the kid continues.
“I’m a big fan of PWT, I’ve got some pretty good tickets for the event tonight with a couple buddies of mine, we’ve been wrestling fans for over ten years. Anyways, I was watching MJ Storm’s promo and I was wondering what you thought of Crash Holly. He seemed to have a lot of respect for the guy.?/FONT>
Seifer rubs his chin for a moment.
“You want my honest opinion??/FONT>
“Of course.?/FONT>
“Crash is great, may his soul rest in peace. He took the 24/7 hardcore deal and ran with it, making it fun and entertaining. But on the same token as cool as it was, I don’t find that was true hardcore. Yeah, MJ’s right, it’s what the masses think hardcore is today, but it’s not true hardcore, at least not in my book.?/FONT>
“I thought it was cool but I get what you’re saying. Raven’s also one of my favorite wrestlers as well and he used a lot of weapons.?BR> “Yeah, he did. Bringing down the shopping cart and all but if I recall that was made into pretty much his gimmick in the WWF. I know he did it before and even after, but it was never the main focus. Raven is one of my favorite wrestlers as well and what his hardcore streak used to be before the E watered him down is what I believe mine to be. He plays games with his opponents and when I’m in the mood, I do that as well.?BR> “I know you look at this as an art form and will be doing things most people don’t see, but you’re still going to use weapons right??BR> “Of course I’m going to use weapons, it’s part of the fun. But I doubt you’ll see me bash him in the head ten times with a chair. No, I like to get a bit more creative in my matches and on Sunday you Frank,?/FONT> he now shifts his attention back to the camera, “Everyone else watching, and especially MJ will see just why they call me the original ‘Creative Genius?a moniker I’ve had for years, not what Heyman is now being called.?/FONT>
“That’s awesome dude, I can’t wait for the match.?/FONT>
“It’ll be pretty exciting that’s for sure. Where you sitting??/FONT>
“Section 107, on the edge in the first row.?/FONT>
Seifer nods, ?FONT color=#cc0000>Right on, I’ll point to ya sometime during the match.?/FONT>
“Hell yeah! Hey I gotta get going but take it easy dude, it was cool meeting you. Think you could you autograph my hat for me??BR> “Sure thing.?/FONT>
He hands it over as Seifer pulls out a marker from his pocket and signs one as he hands it back over to the kid who smiles and puts it back on. Seifer pockets the marker, he found it always good to carry one incase he was in a hurry and some fans wanted an autograph but didn’t have one, that way they go home happy and he could get on with his day.
“Later Seif, I’d say good luck but I know I don’t need to.?/FONT>
He takes off, totally psyched that he got to meet one of wrestling’s biggest stars as Seifer grins before looking back to the camera.
“See, he knows what it’s all about. You’re wrong MJ, you don’t think I’m going to be able to douse your flame but as I said before, I control the pulse of this match. What you fail to realize is that you’re no different than any of the others. Maybe to the outside world who think of you as a joke, but to me? You stand just as much of a chance as David did. I’m not going to be going any less harder on you than I did on him, only this time I’ve got more freedom to do whatever the hell I want. You’re truly delusional to think you even stand one iota of a chance against me.?/FONT>
He now smiles.
“But then again, I wouldn’t have it any other way. One hour MJ, just you and me for one entire hour. I’m from Miami where bringing the heat comes natural, let’s see if you can handle for one night only?the Steelman.?/FONT>
