I think yesterday must have been our quietest day on here since we started.  Carole and I are joining sites on different networks to find ut how the work and Aimoo seems promising as you can have different boards and apparently can copy and paste okay, but that is something I want to do for myself to make sure.  Carole is checking out one on org.  There's about 60 of the networks out there that we could move to, and that was at the last count which one of the sites did while researching for themselves.  We'll keep you up to date with anything we can find out!
A man in love is a fool, and an old man in love is the greatest fool of all!  That was yesterday's saying.  Wonder if today's will be easier for you?
We went to docs yesterday, we had a nine o'clock appointment.  As sual Brian had us there before half eight and luckily the first app. didn't turn up so we were in and out by ten to nine.  We went to the café to see if we could get parked and get a table and we were lucky enough to not only get parked in the bay next to the one we are usually on but our usual table was empty.
I was amused to hear Doctor give Brian a ticking off for not going to see him when I said he should.  Dr is always telling him about that, as brian puts it off as long as possiblel.  He has been given antibiotics to take for a week, three a day.  He has also been put on a high dose of steroids.  He has been taking one a day for a long time but now he has to have seven a day for three days then six a day for three days, five a day three days and so on until he gets back to one a day.  I hope they do the trick.  I was on five a day for five days with my chest infection and I felt so much better by time they were finished so I have high hopes.  We had another bad night last night, his coughing fits are very distressing and he gets upset because he's keeping me awake, but as I said he can't help that and it's something we have to live with until his pills work.  I told him it was more important for him to keep still as his cough I'm used to, his wheezing I'm used to but the rattling from all his pills is louder than ever, lol.
Here's a smile to start your day............

A woman goes to a pet shop to buy her hubby a present.  'What can you
recommend?' she asks the assistant.

'We have a selection of large bullfrogs,' he replies. 'Apparently, they've
been trained to give oral sez.'

The woman immediately buys one, thinking if it works she'll never have to
perform the distasteful act on her husband again.

When she explains the frog's ability to her husband, he is very sceptical.
However, in the middle of the night, the woman awakes to the noise of pots
and pans crashing around.  She runs to the kitchen to find her husband
reading cookbook recipes to her frog.

'What on earth are you doing?' she asks.  Her husband replies: 'If I can
teach this frog to cook, then you're out the door!'

Keep smiling,
love Joan

I made this with Carole and Phillipa in mind but anyone else who has been there is welcome to it.

Morning Joan,
Here is hoping that Brian's tablets do the trick. Glad the Doctor had a word with him re visiting.
Well as you said the board was very quiet yesterday I kept popping tint the arcade but no one seemed to be around.
I'm on duty at the Church Centre this morning so will not be around till the afternoon. It is a wet morning here but it is supposed to be going to move down south so maybe it will brighten up later. My blood results are back and I've to see the doctor so made an appointment and will see him on Monday afternoon.
Have a good day and try and have a nap this afternoon.
Here is hoping that all who are not feeling too good have a better day and are soon well.
Take care all,
Love Beth xx

Morning all

I was one of the absentees yesterday, sorry girls.  I did have a quick look in early on but had trouble posting after a few goes in the arcade.  All seems well today though, I think it was some Windows upgrades trying to get through that caused the go slow!

Good to hear Brian has some (more) medication!  The steroids should help immensely, coupled with the antibio's.  These men are all the same, won't take their wive's advice as they always know better!  At least we know we're right don't we?  Lol!

I also had to go to a Bring and Buy coffee morning that I had been invited to by my next door neighbour.  I went along after my training, too late to buy anything but I lost a few quid in the raffle!  I had sent some home made Cherry and Nut Crisp biscuits with my neighbour too, which were all sold.

I had a word with my trainer about my aching kneeds and he seems to have solved the problem.  They are much better today.  He showed me how to stretch my front thigh muscles before and after exercising to get them going properly.  I looked like a beached whale rolling around on a long white polysytene sausage!

My sister is coming this afternoon to stay until Saturday.  We are going to the Good Food Show at the NEC tomorrow so won't be about.

Good result at WI this morning, -1.5lbs, thank goodness!  Must try and keep it up.

Have a good afternoon everyone

Linda

I'm nor sure if anyone will be around to read this but a good evening to anyone who is.
Maybe it's quiet because it's 'the time of year' illness and christmas shopping, then Phil and I are busy with our volunteer work.  I had a call today asking if I could help out tomorrow, so I'm sorry but I won't be around until late again.
Please to hear the doctor has sorted Brian out and that your trainer has sorted out your knee problem Linda.  I hope you have all had a good day, I lost 1/2lb this week so I must go and record it on my new chart.
Take care everyone, lots of love, Eileen x
