I give 15% commision on retail....if the tech is selling retail I would. BUT it would depend on the retail..if the client see's someone else for their hair, the stylist would have "dibs" on the hair retail. The whole point of commision is to motivate the employee to sell. If you want them selling and making you money it only makes sense.
I give 20% commission on retail, which can really add up to some good extra money in ones pocket...yet still they dont sell. It is so aggravating to be the only one who wants their clients to use proper product, or to care where their clients are buying it if not from them. I talk talk talk about the importance of it, and still nothing...ugh
I get 15% commision on products I sell and take it off my monthly rent instead of cash and it comes in very handy when I am writing that check..I always push retail!!!
