Hi All,
I am a salon owner and we have been in business for almost 4yrs and done pretty well.  We just moved into a new location which is tons better than where we were before, my own clientele has more than doubled since March.  I am having NO luck in finding new stylist for my shop.  So what I need is some advice .....what do you all do to get new stylist's?  Help I am desperate!!! As all other owners will know I work too much and need someone to help with the walk-in load I am tired of sending people elsewhere and I do not want to be known as the salon that you never get into!!  I do have one Girl who lease's but I am looking for commision people!!
Please help I really need a day off!!
Thanks all

first congradulations r in order.. sounds like you don't need a stylist with a following.. have u advertize   just that> stylists wanted no following  nessersary most  beginner prefer a salary and commission.. but if u can promise then a busy book  i don't see y offering commission only  no ones answeing your adds...if you want a stylist with a following  offer a sign on bonus... paid monthly after the 2nd month a board.. ... if he or she has a good book say 3,000 a week  offer 6,000 sign on bonus  payable monthy at 1,000 a month for 6 month after the 2 month on board.... if there book doesn't pan out staying  at 3,000 a week  have it in writting to lower the sign on figure.. this way your using there profits to re pay them.. in time you will come out ahead.. be sure to lay down the groud rules if any .. no stylist like supprises or take aways..... Drew

Hi!  We usually call the local beauty schools to see if they have any students close to graduating.  We bring them in to job shadow and tell them what we expect and see how they do.  If they are decent we hire and train them the way we want them.  Some stay and do well and others expect to make millions of dollars their first year.  Good luck with finding someone.
