I worked for someone else for almost 10 years at minimun wage. I was okay with this because it was close to home and my kids were young and it just worked for my family. My family always comes first.

 

 She went crazy and treated me like crap. Finally she was worked into a rage...that i put her in and she fired me after i suggested it. She is a very stupid woman. She ended up closing down after a couple of months.

 

I have my own salon in my home. There is very little over head. I dont have the headaches of wondering what my crack head boss thinks. Is she going to be in a good mood or not..etc.

 

I never intended on being my own boss but im glad it happened the way it did. Will i expand and hire others...heck NO!!!!! I like it the way it is. In my experience there is too much jealousy in this business. The other stylist doesnt want you to improve or get ahead.
