Maple Leaf Decorator Candle
Decorate a plain candle for a beautiful fall home accent piece. It's =
easy! You can even press your own leaves or you might use pressed =
flowers
You will need the following: pillar candle, small pressed leaves, =
thinned craft glue, Mod Podge=AE, natural raffia, and a paintbrush.=20
Glue the leaves to the candle as desired, wiping excess glue from =
candle. Let glue dry thoroughly. Brush Mod Podge=AE on each leaf; do not =
brush on candle. Let dry thoroughly.=20
Tie raffia into a shoestring bow around bottom of candle. Shred raffia =
with fingernail.=20
(Caution: Burning a decorator candle is not recommended. If the candle =
you used will form a crater in the center when burned, let the candle =
burn slightly. Place a tea light in crater. Do not let raffia or leaves =
burn.) |
