Today I sent Cephalon (maker of Provigil) a medical info. request asking them when they will be doing clinical trials on Provigil for Fibro related fatigue.   On their site they have a link to request medical info, I used that link.  Will let you all know what their reply is.

Update on original post....I received a phone call today in response to my email.  I was given a number to call about clinical trials.  While Cephalon is not doing any trials on using provigil for fibro related fatigue, they would take down my info. and my request. Maybe if enough people call about this they will start doing trials to get the FDA approval and then insurance companies would pay for this prescription.  The number to call if you are interested is 877-237-4879.

They also gave me the patient affairs number, where you can get help with appeals to your insurance if they deny coverage for this medication.  That number is 800-675-8415.
